Europa in der Welt des Mittelalters: Ein Colloquium für und mit Michael Borgolte

Three approaches to research on the Middle Ages with relevance for the present have long characterized the work of Michael Borgolte: Europe as a historical problem; the global history of the Middle Ages as a methodological challenge; and transculturality as a heuristic concept. These approaches were the focus of an international interdisciplinary colloquium to honor Borgolte’s 65th birthday, which was the source of these conference proceedings.
