About the Author

A fourth generation descendent of Scandinavian pioneers to Iowa, I have sandwiched my writing into a busy life as a wife, mother of three boys, journalist, Arts Council Director, and more recently, college teacher. Along with my ten published e-novels, I have published both poetry and short stories in literary journals and other publications. Since the 1960s I have been a resident primarily of Tennessee with a brief sojourn in Texas. My writing in earnest began with a suggestion from a geologist friend, who had an idea for a thriller: thus, The Moho Proviso became a reality in print and recognized by the Nashville Tennessean for its timeliness. I joined the Writers Group at the college where I worked and have continued to produce novels in the various genres, including my new Foxhill series with the first book in that series, Flowers at Her Feet, set in a fictional historic district in Nashville. This is followed by Neighbors, Ever After, and my most recently published, Grace. I like to think, though, that whether my work is a thriller, mystery, or coming-of-age, the protagonists share the same intentions to do the right thing in the face of various kinds of conflict and trouble.

I can be reached at as well as on Facebook. Also, I have a Website I hope you'll visit:
