What a heart-warming story of a young girl's experience with trauma, beginning with the divorce of her parents, the blending of two families, and a final tragedy that confirms her worst fears. I laughed and I cried as it brought back memories of my own fractured past. Zulema has a an amazing talent for weaving words with such poetic nuances that I was left spellbound! I LOVED it!

This a beautifully written book that touches the deepest parts of the hearts of anyone who has lived through a broken home, new families and shared custody. Zulema has magically painted a picture from the mind of a child of what it is like to process significant loss and great joy of being in a family in modern society. Her sense of humor is hilarious, and makes a serious subject enjoyable. A very easy read as each chapter is a snippet of time and a stand alone story. I couldn't put it down and read through the entire book in just a few hours. LOVED IT.
