New York City's Most Eligible Bachelor was in a piss-poor mood.

Not that anyone would ever guess it from the way Oliver Preston smiled down at the dark-haired girl dancing seductively in front of him. At least, he thought she was going for seductive. She dipped down low, then rose with a twisting hip swivel, which could very well be an attempt to dislodge a wedgie. Her name had vanished along with his last three drinks, and it was fast approaching the point in their acquaintance when it would be rude to ask. With a discreet glance at his watch, he realized they'd been dancing and talking for an hour, although he couldn't recall a single word. Something about Gwyneth Paltrow's blog?

He'd been doing this more and more lately, forgetting the social dictates that had been drilled into him his entire life. Discarding names the moment they were uttered, neglecting to respond with a laugh at the appropriate moment. He'd once been the king of grinning and bullshitting. Maybe he still was, but he'd gone on autopilot. No enjoyment came from it any more.

Oliver could pinpoint the exact day it happened. When that damn magazine had determined him a catch, under the headline, "Manhattan's Mesmerizing Magazine Guru". The article had been the equivalent of a meal bell being rung over his unsuspecting head. Women had stopped wanting to have fun with him. They'd stopped being satisfied with a single night or even a week-long affair.

Now they wanted to land him. They wanted the elegant wedding announcement in the New York Times. They wanted to weld a gold band onto his finger while cackling with merriment. They wanted to ... Jesus ... they wanted to introduce him to their mothers.

Matrimony. If it was possible to have a phobia of saying I do, he had a giant case of it. Matrimonaphobia. There, he'd diagnosed himself.

Not that he didn't believe in the institution of marriage. His parents had been happy enough. Some of his friends even pulled it off to varying degrees of success. The thought of doing it himself? He'd rather choose punishment in the form of a never-ending wedgie.

That reminded him. What the hell was this girl's name? Jill ... Whitney ... Wendy? Wedgie.

Wendy, Queen of the Wedgie.

I'm going to Hell.

Wendy spun in a slow circle, gyrating quite impressively, but he found himself more concerned with the disintegrating contents of his rocks glass than her impressive figure, leading him back to his earlier thoughts. Maybe the eligible bachelor announcement hadn't been where his loss of interest in the world of endless women and partying had started. Maybe it had been waning long before then, and he'd simply fallen into an inescapable pattern. Party, seduce, repeat. A certain behavior was expected of him and he lived up to it.

Had his identity become his curse?

Oliver had one thing keeping him grounded. Work. He'd taken the passion he usually reserved for the opposite sex and thrown it into the financial magazine his family had owned for decades. His father had built it from the ground up, but just last month, Oliver had been required to save it from bankruptcy. As a result, he now shared the helm with his sister, Caroline, producing the country's first lifestyle magazine for those with alternative lifestyles. Combining finance and travel with, well, bondage techniques and gift ideas for your favorite Dominant.

He tossed back the remains of his drink, smiling absently when WW took that as a sign she should move closer, backing up until her bottom met his lap and wiggling her hips. Oliver's body responded as it always did, but there was no urgency. No driving need to get this girl alone and rip off every last piece of her clothing. He hadn't felt that in a damn long while, though, had he?

His new, regrettable marriageable status combined with the feeling he was missing something had led him here over the summer. To Serve. A BDSM club located in Manhattan's Meatpacking District, owned by his formerly straight-laced sister's boyfriend, Jonah. A fact he still couldn't believe a month later.

Before coming to Serve, he had already been dominant in the bedroom, hoping maybe taking it to the next level would alleviate some of the monotony he'd been experiencing. It had. Briefly. After a while, that same old feeling had begun creeping in. He'd stopped enjoying himself in degrees, oftentimes coming to Serve, only to leave after his first drink. His conquests had all started looking and sounding the same, blurring together in a way that made him feel guilty. As if he were taking advantage in some way, saying all the right words without meaning them. Like now.

Wendy threw her arms up in the air and rotated her hips in a slow circle. Her eyes held a challenge, all but shouting, not bad, huh? Oliver saluted her with his empty glass. "That dress is criminal, sweetheart." Blah blah blah. "Maybe we need to put you in lock up." Let's go upstairs and get this over with so I can go home and watch Survivorman.

"Thank you," Wendy purred, smoothing her hands down the front of her dress. "It's all thanks to this macrobiotic diet I've been doing. Gwyneth does it. She practically invented it. No carbs, no coffee, no alcohol—"

Good God, she dances like this sober? "Whatever you're doing," he wound her hair around his fist and pulled her up against him. "Don't stop."

Wendy sucked in a breath. "Let me take a quick trip to the ladies room, then we can go upstairs." She turned with a little shimmy, then glanced back over her shoulder. "I'm feeling bad."

He winked at her. "I'll be the judge of that."

As soon as she disappeared into the crowd, Oliver dropped heavily onto the nearest lounge chair, signaling the waitress for another drink. He pushed a hand through his dark mess of hair, debating whether or not to call tonight off, just wait until Wendy came back and make some excuse about an early conference call. It wouldn't be a complete lie. Damn, this isn't how he should feel when ten minutes in the future, he'd be naked with a beautiful woman. What the hell is wrong with me?

Oliver pushed to his feet, intending on intercepting Wendy on the way back from the restroom. The sooner he got out of here, the better. He skirted past a young businessman running game on a waitress. A waste of time since Jonah didn't allow employees to fraternize with clientele, at least on the downstairs lounge level. Upstairs? Different story altogether.

He'd cleared half the dance floor when he saw the blonde. Or rather, he saw her bare shoulders. Such an innocent body part shouldn't have arrested him so thoroughly, after all he'd seen enough skin to rival a Penthouse photographer, but something about them brought him to a standstill. Even from ten yards away, he knew the skin would be smooth. Lickable. He knew she'd bunch them up to her ears when she laughed. He knew he'd find a sexy mole on the other side, just beneath her collar bone.

That blonde was Eliza Ballas.

His sister's old college roommate and current best friend. Oliver tried, he really, seriously tried—for all of three seconds—not to let his gaze dip to her ass. Not a new problem for him when it came to the sexy little Greek he'd watched come into her own over the last seven years. No, he'd noticed Eliza the first time Caroline brought her around. She was impossible not to notice, all long limbs, bedroom eyes and ambition that rivaled his own. He liked her. On top of wanting to fuck her brains out.

Under different circumstances, he would have tried to take her home the first time they met. He would have experienced what it felt like to have those golden legs wrapped around his waist, to watch those big, brown eyes go blind.

Oliver licked his upper lip when his body decided it liked that image very much, thank you. He hadn't seen Eliza in weeks, having been so busy revamping the magazine, but she'd certainly been on his mind. Even more than usual. On a trip to the club last month, he'd been surprised to find Eliza at the bar, dressed to kill. Some discreet questioning of the staff he'd become friendly with had alerted him to the fact that Eliza was getting ready to embark on an evening with a British ex-pat named Porter. Also known as the man she was dancing with tonight while looking fucking edible. Oliver had spoken to the man on a few occasions, frequenting the club as they both did. The Brit liked to dish out a little pain in the bedroom, more so than Oliver. To his credit, he never did anything a woman hadn't consented to beforehand. Still, the thought of him employing those methods on Eliza didn't sit well.

Not last month. And not tonight.

The Brit's hand then ghosted over Eliza's backside, propelling Oliver from his thoughts with the force of a cannon. Oh boy, he didn't like the feeling that gave him, either. Kind of like a sour bomb had gone off in his stomach, turning the whiskey he'd drank to acid. He waited a beat, hoping it would go away. It didn't.

Oliver plucked a glass of something blue off a passing tray and downed it in one gulp. Immediately, his attention returned to Eliza. He'd always been able to lower the attraction to his sister's friend to a simmer. Right now, however, it felt like a roaring-ass fire. Same as it had that night last month when he'd interfered where he had no right, but had felt as though he did. As though he'd had every right to convince Serve's scheduling manager to change Eliza and Porter's appointment without alerting Eliza. It hadn't been easy. Jonah's staff did everything by the book. But Oliver had played the only trump card he had. If Eliza was hurt, Caroline would be upset. Which would piss off the boss to an unholy degree. It had done the trick and Oliver had rested easy that night, secure in the belief he'd done the right thing. Tonight was infinitely worse, however, because he could see Eliza focusing those doe eyes on another man. He couldn't be jealous. He'd never been jealous a day in his life. Still, it wouldn't hurt the guy to keep the grab-ass to a minimum. They were in public, for crying out loud. Never mind what he'd been up to five minutes ago.

The image materialized of him taking the Brit's place, letting his hands roam over Eliza's hips as she rocked against him, those pretty lips parting on a gasp.

Sister's friend, asshole. Looky, no touchy.

Warning bells ringing in his head, Oliver started toward them.

She wasn't going anywhere with that bastard.

Whoo yeah. He just touched my butt. Play it cool. Happens all the time.

Except it didn't happen all the time. In Eliza's world, when a man touched your butt, you reported his butt to human resources. Tonight, however, she was a million miles away from New York City's cut-throat interior design world where she spent most of her waking hours. Tonight was for her. Tonight, butts would be touched. Or walloped, as the case may be.

Porter, the too-sexy Brit who bore a striking resemblance to mid-nineties Gavin Rosdale, pulled her closer. She swayed further into his embrace, without any of her usual reservations holding her back, letting herself enjoy the smell of his expensive cologne, his masculinity.

She'd met Porter a month ago at Serve when her best friend Caroline convinced her to stop in for a drink. Caroline had met the love of her life that night. Eliza had made a jackass out of herself.

After one dance with Porter that same evening, it had become obvious to her she was in way over her head. He spent a lot of time upstairs at Serve, where certain activities took place, so to speak. Eliza's idea of an activity was browsing swatches. Still, she'd been excited by his cool demeanor, eager to try something new even if the world of BDSM was completely foreign to her. They hadn't even made it to the elevator when her nerves had caught up with her. And yeah, it might have had something to do with the burgeoning threesome taking place on a beautifully upholstered chaise longue adjacent to the dance floor. She'd stammered an excuse about needing to find Caroline and ran out, all the while knowing she would regret her cowardice in the morning, which she certainly had.

That night had been her chance to really feel something. To experience a new world outside of her orb of spun glass. She'd come to New York for adventure and so far, she'd only alienated herself from the rest of the population.

Exactly as she'd vowed she would never do. Exactly like—

Eliza shook off the dark thought. Since graduating college, she'd been busting her hump, starting as an intern at the prestigious Rothman and Cower Design Firm, before moving higher in the ranks. Now she had exclusive, influential clients who recommended her services to their friends. She had her own office, an assistant, stability. The success she'd always dreamed of. Perhaps she hadn't quite gotten to the level that would make her a partner one day, but she planned to change that. Soon.

With all the success in her professional life, she should be walking on air. Instead, most mornings she woke up on her living room floor, surrounded by piles of fabric samples, with Cheez-Its stuck in her hair, wondering if achieving her goals meant being lonely. Making a trade-off. Her social calendar was sadly lacking in anything that didn't pertain to work. Or the new HGTV fall lineup. Eliza needed an outlet. She desperately wanted to feel sexy, desirable. Porter had made her feel that way in spades that first night. Hell, he'd looked at her like she was cherry pie fresh from the oven. She'd come back to Serve after having completed the required paperwork and interview process, only to be stood up by Porter her first time as an official member of the club. Her subsequent humiliation had led to a night of complete and utter intoxication to compensate, courtesy of the club's creative martini menu.

Not tonight. Tonight, she'd shed her insecurities and come here for an experience. Had it been fate that the first man she'd run into was Porter? She chose to think so and nothing, not even two walruses flogging each other while singing the national anthem, would send her packing. The thought of Porter doing the things to her that she'd read about recently made her feel flushed from head to toe. His hand had moved from her bottom to coast up the small of her back, but she could still feel his touch there.

"Ready to go upstairs?"

Oh Lord, that accent. Eliza nodded once. "Let's go."

Porter twined their fingers together. "No standing me up this time?"

"Me? Stand you up?"

When Porter only nodded once, Eliza frowned, ready to point out that he'd been the one to ditch her, when a familiar voice interrupted from behind. "Eliza 'the sunny bunny' Ballas, is that you?"

Without another thought, she immediately disengaged her hand from Porter's, letting it drop. She wanted to kick herself afterwards, but it had been knee-jerk. Not because she felt guilty. Certainly not. But she'd only just gotten comfortable stepping outside of her comfort zone. Someone from her normal, everyday life witnessing that zone-jumping meant sheets of a different thread count. Oliver knew her only as his sister's studious friend. In her miniscule black dress and red pumps that matched her lipstick, she looked anything but studious. Slowly, she turned to face Oliver.

As it always did when she ran into Caroline's brother, her stomach flipped a little. Nothing behind it. Just pure female appreciation. Helen Keller herself would have had the same reaction. She knew through Caroline that her brother spent every morning in the gym, hungover or not. That dedication had done him, and every female in the vicinity, a major service. Well-honed muscles drew the eye as they shifted under his shirt, within tailored sleeves. Careless bed-head brought to mind an image of him stumbling out of a hotel room, four shades of lipstick on his collar. In fact, she would lay odds that very scenario had taken place more than once. His smile alone radiated such sensual confidence, it had to be illegal in most states and yet, it didn't even compare to the look.

Wow! This book is hot. From beginning to the end, it just got hotter and hotter. I do believe I liked it better than the first one in the series. Oliver was so dominant and possessive, I loved it. But I also loved his softer side that he hid. I so enjoyed the sneak peak into his thoughts. Goodness the man made me need a fan. And Eliza was fun to read going with the flow of what Oliver wanted. Oh to be that free! Their chemistry was explosive. And I had to finish this book. There was no putting it down. Highly addictive for sure. Tessa never disappoints with her alpha men and strong women. Oh and the nicknames in this book- original and pure fun!

## EXQUISITE. Once again Tessa has blown my mind. Her books are simply unputdownable. I really dislike the BDSM aspect in any romance and normally would have passed this right up. HOWEVER, because it was written by Tessa Bailey, I had to have it. I adored Eliza. I thought she was magnificent. Oliver was great too, his possessive side being a giant turn-on for me. Their chemistry was special and Oliver's dirty talk was HOT. Wow, it was scorching (it bares repeating). The only thing I didn't like was the whole "hero has to be a manwhore", hence the 4 star rating. God, I am so tired of these men sticking their d*cks in anything that moves and then bragging about it. "I go through women like water".....what a stupid thing to say. HOWEVER, once again Tessa made me believe that Oliver was a changed man; that he could actually be a one woman man and remain faithful. That takes special talent to write a character THAT convincingly. I will read this again for sure and will buy anything that Ms. Bailey writes in the future. Do yourself a favor and buy all of Tessa's books. Money well spent.

Y'all, I think I have a new favorite Tessa Bailey book. Exposed by Fate takes readers back into the world of Serve from Owned by Fate, but this time it's all about Caroline's best friend, Eliza, and her brother, Oliver. And oh my god, did I love their story.   I'm a big fan of the best friend's brother storyline. It may have been done 1,000 times before, but I guarantee it was never done quite like this. After Oliver and Eliza come face-to-face at Serve, she propositions him to introduce her to BDSM. She's totally naive to that world, but desperately wants to experience it. She'd be more comfortable learning from someone she's known her whole life. Oliver is attracted to Eliza, but doesn't want things to be weird after their three dates of BDSM playtime are over. But, at the same time, he can't imagine anyone else introducing her to BDSM, so he agrees. And I am so very glad he did.  It's no secret that Tessa's books are hot. She writes some of the best dirty-talkin' men I've ever read. Her men have always been into a little spanking and dominating, but I know the actual BDSM world is a new thing for her. I read an interview where she said she didn't know if she would be the best person to write books about BDSM and I have to disagree. I'm not a BDSM book junkie, but I will read every. single. one. she writes. It's the combination of fantastic writing, incredible character development, addictive story line and smokin' hot sexy time that draws me to Tessa's books. She nails it every single time. Tessa's my go-to for hot and sexy books with substance.  It seems like after each of Tessa's books, there's an object, location or food that I will *never* look at the same way again. (*cough* pool cues *cough*) This time it's a boardroom table. Holy. Hell. Steam factor: 9/10. Exposed by Fate also has the sexiest shower scene I have ever read. Seriously, ever. Steam factor: 100/10. But these characters share more than just sexy time, and that's why Tessa's books are so appealing to me. They had a very real chemistry and I thoroughly enjoyed reading along as they dropped their walls and submitted to each other. Neither may have been looking for a relationship when they began this arrangement, but what they found was real and powerful. And that, more than just the sexy time, is what made me love this book as much as I did.  I've seen teasers of the next book in the Serve series and I just can't wait until it's available. I can't wait to get back to the world of Serve and Tessa's smokin' hot men.  I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Exposed by Fate is book two in Tessa Bailey’s Serve Novel series, and it’s Oliver and Eliza’s story. Followers of the series will remember Oliver as Caroline’s playboy brother and a recent member at Serve. Eliza has been Caroline’s best friend since college; she’s practically family. Eliza is somewhat reserved, but after seeing first-hand how happy Caroline has been since her relationship with Jonah, Eliza is determined to step outside her comfort zone to experience what it’s like to be truly satisfied, and maybe even find love. Eliza thinks she might find that with Porter, another Serve member, but Oliver is convinced that he’s the right man for the job – at least the satisfaction piece, so he and Eliza enter into a contract for Oliver to teach her how to be the perfect submissive. Oliver knows from the beginning that Eliza is completely out of his league, and he’s also well aware that his womanizing lifestyle couldn’t (or at least shouldn’t) even place him on Eliza’s radar. There’s no harm in relishing the time he does have with her, though, right? Eliza, as we could have probably guessed, has been attracted to Oliver since she was first introduced to her best friend’s older brother. So now, the question is, can Eliza and Oliver keep their arrangement strictly business? I am such a huge Tessa Bailey fan. Her Line of Duty series has some of the hottest, dirty-talking alpha males I’ve ever read. They hardly compare, though, to the Doms of Serve. Hot, sexy Dominants, but with complex personalities and sensitive sides that surprisingly had me reaching for the tissue box, not once, but several times. I hope she won’t consider it insulting or patronizing to say that I think Tessa Bailey’s writing just keeps getting better and better! Five sexy, spanking, sensitive stars!

In this scorching second book of the Serve series, we are treated to the story of Oliver and Eliza. Eliza has always been off limits to Oliver as his sister's best friend, but finding her in his BDSM club means all bets are off. When she agrees to let him teach her the ways of a submissive, he figures he can finally get a taste of what he's always wanted. But when a taste isn't enough, will he be man enough to own up to what's really in his heart, and will Eliza believe he'll forsake his playboy ways for her? I loved this story! While the trope may be familiar, the setting certainly is not and having a couple play out their long hidden attraction within the BDSM lifestyle makes this a super steamy read. I really liked both main characters in the story. Though it is told from dual points of view, my lasting impression is that Oliver's thoughts and feelings were the dominant ones in the story (fitting, as that is his character role as well). Oliver is charismatic, handsome, a playboy in word and action and Eliza knows this, and is careful to keep her real feelings hidden from Oliver, not willing to trust her heart to someone who has never given any evidence of seriousness in his previous relationships. Eliza is smart, likeable, attractive and knows that she wants something in her relationships that she has been missing. Having Oliver fulfill that role for her and at the same time being able to admit to herself that she's always been attracted to him is a double bonus - great sex with a great guy, fulfilling her secret fantasy but never imagining that he might have had the same fantasies about her. As a result their love scenes are not just sexy but emotional and meaningful as well. We get a glimpse of other characters that will play roles in other stories to come and it only serves to make the story even more intriguing. Overall I found this to be one of those stories that are impossible to put down once you start. Steamy sexual attraction between the main characters, a unique plot and setting, heartfelt emotion from the hero and heroine and a well deserved happy ending. 5 stars!

Leave it to Tessa Bailey to add a humorous bend to her dirty talking heroes! I loved Olliver and Eliza. The push-pull between them keeps the reader on the edge of her seat. The heat shimmering between them keeps you squirming in that seat, as well.  The glimpse we get of Oliver in OWNED BY FATE left me thinking he was just a careless playboy, but, oh, how wrong I was. Beneath that sexy exterior beats the heart of a true hero. All it took was Eliza's strength and faith in him to make him see it, too. Well done!

I loved Oliver & Eliza's story. They were both great characters, but I got frustrated with them sometimes & wanted to yell at them to talk to each other, for goodness sake! I enjoyed reading Oliver's internal monologue. It showed his sweetness & vulnerability, along with his sexy, dirty-talking, dominant male persona. The story was touching & emotional, while the sex scenes were smoking hot.

The Serve series—an Entangled’s Brazen continuity project featuring authors Tessa Bailey and Katee Robert—revolves around New York City’s hottest BDSM club. After saving the financial magazine his family had owned for decades from bankruptcy, Oliver Preston now shares the helm with his sister, producing the country’s first lifestyle magazine for those with alternative lifestyles—combining finance and travel with bondage techniques and gift ideas for your favorite Dominant. Known as a quintessential playboy, a certain behavior was expected of him and he lived up to it. Party. Seduce. Repeat. But ever since a magazine article entitled “Manhattan’s Mesmerizing Magazine Guru” had pronounced him New York City’s Most Eligible Bachelor, the women had stopped wanting to have fun with him. Now, they wanted to land him. Since graduating college, Eliza Ballas has been busting her hump in New York City’s cut-throat interior design world. But now she has her own office, an assistant, stability, and exclusive, influential clients who recommend her services to their friends. The success she’d always dreamed of. With all the success in her professional life, she should be walking on air. Instead, most mornings she woke up wondering if achieving her goals meant being lonely. So when she accompanies her best friend to Serve, she’s taken aback by the sheer want that overruns her body—especially when a too-sexy Brit assumes she’s adept at dark, sensual arts. But after one dance with him, it becomes obvious to her that she’s in way over her head. If she’s going to play, she’ll need an erotic education, and she knows just the man to teach her how to rock the sexy Brit’s world… Oliver isn’t one to turn down pleasure, but Eliza’s his sister’s best friend and he’s torn between a sense of duty and his rock-hard need to find out if the sexy little Greek tastes as delectable as he’s dreamed. The very idea of being her instructor, rewarding her and punishing her according to his own rules, makes him so hot he isn’t sure he can turn down the opportunity. Regardless of the consequences. But if he turns her down, he knows she’ll find another way to learn. Unable to handle the thought of another man owning her body, Oliver draws Eliza deep into his world of exquisite pain and pleasure. He has three lessons to instruct her. Three lessons to drive them both to the brink of ecstasy. And three lessons before he must give her to another man … if he doesn’t lose himself first. The second installment in the Serve series centers on Oliver Preston and Eliza Ballas, both of whom were introduced in Owned By Fate. There’s been a mutual attraction simmering between them for the past seven years, which they’ve chosen to ignore because he’s Caroline’s older brother and she’s his sister’s former college roommate and best friend—funny, I actually liked Caroline more in this story than in the previous one. Oliver and Eliza were very likeable characters with undeniable chemistry, but their total lack of communication throughout the story was exasperating. The writing was solid, the story was humorous and engaging, but once again, for a series that revolves around a sex club, the BDSM was surprisingly tame. Overall, Exposed By Fate was a quick, fun, entertaining read with plenty of heat and a satisfying HEA

Good read, good plot & well developed characters. Kinda lacking on the amount of love scenes & a too quick & too pat on the ending.

After reading Owned by Fate, the first book in Tessa Bailey's new Serve series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one! I love the best friend falling for the sibling trope, so I was already rooting for Eliza and Oliver before the first book ended. Oliver has quite the reputation as a notorious playboy, and for a long time he's been fine with that title. At the start of the book he isn't looking to change that. When he sees his younger sister's best friend at Serve with another man, his jealousy flares up, taking him by surprise. He's always been attracted to Eliza, but being his sister's best friend, he knows he could never go there. He'll be damned if he lets her go upstairs with another man and so he intervenes. His intervention leads them both to realize maybe she's not ready to enter that world just yet, so Eliza asks Oliver to teach her, opening up a whole other can of worms in the process. The woman he has been attracted to for years is offering herself to him for three lessons, no strings attached. It's the perfect arrangement for a guy like Oliver who isn't looking for anything long term. I love the easiness and familiarity between the two. The fact that they infuse such humor into what could be an awkward situation really worked. Their sexual tension is sky high and bubbling over the surface, so adding in some playful banter was even more endearing. Bailey switches between Oliver and Eliza's POV, so I loved being in Oliver's head as he can't stop thinking of making her his. He is jealous over the fact that he is training Eliza to be with someone else and suddenly he finds himself wishing he never agreed to prime her for someone that wasn't him. Instead of owning it and telling her, naturally he keeps it to himself. Both of them are too afraid to admit the depth of their feelings for one another, thus leading to faked indifference and more jealousy. That was the most frustrating part of this one- watching them both hesitate to tell the other their true feelings and let miscommunication cause problems. We really just skim the surface of Eliza's past- we don't know much, just that her mother always gave in to her father and never spoke up for herself. Eliza doesn't want to be that kind of woman. She doesn't want her choices taken from her, so that is why she became so angry with Oliver in this one. She mistakes his possessive sentiments as a way to control her and keep her from someone else, instead of understanding that Oliver is falling for her and doesn't want her to be with anyone but him. Oliver struggles himself with feeling he isn't good enough for her, having felt feelings of inadequacy before from his father when it comes to work, and now with his sister railing about his playboy status. Out of all the Serve guys I've met so far, I have to say Oliver is probably my favorite. He is sexy, gorgeous, and truly a good man, who is afraid of letting himself fall for a woman who could break him. He is one of my favorite kind of alpha males- strong, but tender at the same time. There were a couple of scenes toward the end in this one that just gutted my heart at how vulnerable and raw he is when he lays it out there for Eliza. I wanted to bonk him on the head for not just coming out and telling her how he felt! To be fair, it's a two-way street and Eliza wasn't exactly forthcoming either in her feelings. Nonetheless, everything worked out the way it was meant to and I was left wanting more from these two!

When Eliza Ballas’ best friend, Caroline, introduces her to the enticing BDSM club Serve, Eliza is intrigued and more than a little turned on at the idea of surrendering and submitting in the bedroom. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, depending on how you look at it), Eliza believes her wide-eyed innocence when it comes to the more kinky aspects of sexual play will turn away potential partners. She turns to the one man she know won’t turn down pleasure and enlists his help to teach her what she needs to thrive at Serve – Oliver Preston, Caroline’s sexy older brother with whom she has shared a mutual attraction for the last seven years. Oliver agrees to give Eliza three lessons – three lessons that will give Eliza the confidence she needs to approach potential partners and the sensual acumen to please herself and her partner. But as Eliza and Oliver finally give into the attraction that has been simmering for the last seven years, they both begin to realize that neither of them are going to walk away unscathed from this union. Oliver is a successful businessman who runs a magazine catering to those who enjoy a kinkier side to their sex. He’s a bit of a playboy and not one for relationships. He’s dominant in and out of the bedroom and enjoys rougher, wilder sex. Eliza is more vanilla – the candy and flowers type of girl, but with a hidden wild side that she is itching to explore. She’s no wilting flower though. Though intrigued by the idea of submission, she is confident and assertive when necessary. Together, Eliza and Oliver make a wonderful match. I think what I loved most about this novel was the struggle of Eliza and Oliver to come to terms with their feelings with each other. The push-pull of attraction was there from the start and yet the reason why they had never given into their mutual attraction was realistic and believable. And yet when their lessons begin, it’s as if the floodgates opened. Wow! Wonderfully written, sensually seductive, and steaming hot! I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. 10 out of 10 passionate stars. I know I should have read this author way before this, but I think I was saving my first taste for this series. I. am. in. love. In love with these characters and in love with this authors writing. There are not many books I would re-read but Exposed By Fate is one of them. Tessa Bailey is now on my no questions asked, automatic one click author list. I was really looking forward to seeing Eliza and Oliver come together and while in Owned by Fate, I had a bit of trouble connecting with the heroine, there was no such problem here. I immediately connected with both of these characters and they kept me enthralled and entertained through the whole book. Both Eliza and Oliver were hiding the scars of their past underneath a false bravado, covering up the pain and loneliness they both felt, both coming to the realisation that their lives were not satisfying them anymore and now wanting more. Oliver, New York's most eligible bachelor, was a womaniser, a playboy of epic proportions with a different girl in his bed each night, never becoming emotionally attached, discarding them before they ventured to close to his carefully guarded heart. Everyone saw him as someone you wouldn't recommend to your sister as boyfriend material. The family saw him as second best behind Caroline, the unpredictable brother whose business ideas were always taken with a grain of salt. I saw him as someone who needed a good woman to love thoroughly and completely, and Eliza was that woman. He had lusted after Eliza since their first meeting but because of the unwritten sister's best friend, no touching rule, had never acted more than a friend. With one proposition that all changed. I loved Oliver from the first time I met him. The attraction was instant and unwavering. He pulled me in like no other male lead has to date. I loved every dirty talking sentence he said, every vulnerable aspect to his character, every emotion he showed, every single way he showed Eliza how much he loved her, even if, at the time, she was unaware. What can I say about all the ways I loved Eliza? Well, I just loved everything about her and I found her so easy to connect and relate to. The way she showed her vulnerability, the way she loved Oliver, the way she stood up for what she wanted and didn't accept second best. I loved her courage and conviction, and her passionate and generous nature endeared me to her with every page I turned. Eliza too has had feelings for Oliver since that first day, and when he proposes to teach her all there is to know about BDSM, no attachment, no involvement, she knows she is risking her heart, but can't forgo the chance to have a taste of Oliver. This couples relationship was just so damn hot and sexy. It has been said before but Ms Bailey is the queen of dirty talking characters, and Oliver is no different. The dialogue between them just heated up my reader and had me fanning myself on many occasions. And while the sexy sex scenes were steamy and erotic, underlying them was the development of a beautiful relationship. This pair were so suited to each other, their love all encompassing, their unquestioned support of each other, absolute, and I was totally engrossed in each and every emotion. I think they are near, or at the top of the list of my favourite couples for this year. I am now going back to recify my tardiness, and reading the whole back catalogue of Tessa's work.

5 smokin' hot, page-turning, the-split-gets-a-makeover, no-panties-required stars! Hot Damn!!!!!!!! Mr. Oliver Preston ... Where have you been hiding all this time?? In Tessa Bailey's naughty vault of course!!!! What would I give to spend a day in that vault ... Gahhhhhh!!!! I have been waiting to read Oliver and Eliza's story from the moment I met them in Owned by Fate, which is the first installments in the new deliciously addictive Serve series. Eliza Ballas needs somebody to teach her about the mysterious and seductive world of Club Serve. She knows exactly who that person will be. When playboy Oliver Preston comes face-to-face with his sister's best friend at Club Serve, he can't walk away from her proposition. Three lessons that's all she wants. What Oliver never expected was to fall hard for Eliza. He wants her for himself. Three lessons are simply not enough, especially after he sees the way Eliza's body responds to his touch. Will Oliver be able to reveal his feelings to Eliza or will he let her walk away into another man's arms? Some words of advice before you read Exposed by Fate .... Forget about wearing panties .... They are a waste of time ... Mr. Preston said so! And, trust me when I say that they will melt right off of you! You heard Oliver ... Skip the panties! Be prepared. Tessa Bailey's newest dirty talker will turn your world upside down! You will be thinking about him for DAYS after reading Exposed by Fate! I don't even know how to describe the chemistry between Eliza and Oliver. It's so powerful and erotic. They have known each other for years. They both have feelings for each other, but they never said anything or acted on those feelings. He promised her three lessons, but he knows that it won't be enough. He wants to be the man in her life. That scares him and he thinks that he's not good enough for her. OMG! Oliver's filthy mouth is so DELICIOUS!!!! The things he says to Eliza?!?!?! It's insanely hot!!!! Don't even get me started on the sex scenes .... they are FIRE!!!! This book has the hottest shower scene EVER!!! *Fans Self* If you have read Tessa Bailey's previous books you already know that she writes the most amazing characters! Eliza and Oliver stole my heart just like every other character she has written. The story and couple might change, but Tessa's writing style is always PERFECTION! She pulls you into the story and she never lets you go until the very last page is turned! The banter, the romance, the funny moments and the passionate ones. Everything is set up so that you get an unforgettable reading escape every.single.time. It's no secret that I am a HUGE Tessa Bailey fan. Her books are the reason I love reading so much! Her stories make me happy. No matter where the story takes place, I feel at home. I read about characters that feel so real that I have a hard time believing that they are fictional characters. She creates a world where I want to live in! The Serve series has one final installment. It's going to be EPIC! I can feel it! I already know that the two main characters of the last installment will ROCK MY WORLD! Is it February yet?!?!?! I give, Exposed by Fate, by Tessa Bailey 5 smokin' hot, page-turning, the-split-gets-a-makeover, no-panties-required stars!

Exposed by Fate (Serve 2)  Tessa Bailey Review from jeannie zelos book reviews Genre: Erotic Romance I’ve not read Serve 1, but that’s not a problem as these are standalone books, connected but complete in themselves. The action takes place over a short time, just a couple of weeks, so there’s no long build up, no drawn out sensual attraction, just a quick burst of Must Have heat from both Eliza and Oliver. Eliza is out with her best friend at the friend’s husband’s club. She’s shocked at how turned on she is in the club, and when sexy Parker flirts with her, assuming she knows what she’s there for she’s a bit....taken aback. She wants what he’s offering, though doesn’t want to show her naivety in the practice. Her friends brother Oliver comes along just at the right moment. Oliver is a kind of jaded playboy type, been there, done them all...and then he sees his sisters friend Eliza flirting with Parker. He’s always been attracted to her, and the thought of her with Parker has him seeing red, and between them they come up with this idea of three “lessons”, and then she can move on to Parker, having gained some experience. Of course once they start they get in deep, so deep that neither wants to give up, but can’t bring themselves to let the other know. Eliza thinks Oliver is the playboy of his reputation, however nice he is to her she’s sure he’s just toying with her, and will drop her once he’s bored.  Oliver – well, he’s finally reaping what he sowed, can see how the other ladies ignore the fact he’s with Eliza, ignore her as irrelevant and just a fling. He realises Eliza deserves better than him, and feels she’ll suffer a loss of respect of he tries to get her to stay.  He just can’t bring himself to let her go though, and they tread a fine line trying to prolong the contact.  Its a fun read, very sensual and erotic, though the BDSM element is minimal, so if that bothers you don’t be put off. I liked the characters of both Eliza and Oliver and was hoping they’d find a way through their problems. Its a story I enjoyed but didn’t feel completely convinced by, and I’d have liked a bit more drama in the “down” part – the bit where it goes wrong. For me that makes the HEA so much more satisfying but that’s not for everybody of course. Stars: Three and a half ARC supplied by publishers.

Eliza is now a member of the BDSM club that her best friends boyfriend owns. She is about to go upstairs with a sexy Brit and Oliver steps in. He points out that Eliza doesn't know what she is getting into and they strike a deal for him to show her 3 nights he gets to show her limits and what she is missing so she will fascinate her sexy Brit. Oliver had dreamed a many nights about his sisters best friend. He doesn't want her to get hurt and really wants her to be ready, but he really just wants her to be ready for him. I read the first book in this series and was pleased to see a second book. Great read. I was provided a copy of this book for my honest opinion.

Let me just preface this with BEST TESSA BAILEY BOOK YET. Tessa Bailey has been a long time favorite author for me, but oh my stars you guys, nothing prepared me for Exposed By Fate. While I have liked all of her books (well, LOVED really), this one easily takes the new place as favorite. Damn, can this woman write! This one was even better than the first in the series – gosh, Oliver! I loved the characters. Eliza is spunky and both extremely intelligent and driven. She’s someone to be admired, and is never going to play a doormat. Paired with Oliver in a relationship, they just work. And Oliver….. how shall I even describe Oliver? Unbelievably attractive with the dirtiest mouth ever? Positively dominant? Whatever you want to say …. just know he’s my favorite Tessa Bailey hero to date. This book. I can’t even. Eliza and Oliver just steam up the pages on a constant basis. Their chemistry is off the charts. Add in the other scenes, and this was just a winner. Tessa Bailey didn’t just steam up the pages on this one; she set the book on fire and burnt the whole freaking thing. I am swooning so hard over it, and really, just cannot say enough awesome things about it. Asking For Trouble is going to have to learn to be happy with slot #2, because this is easily my new favorite Tessa Bailey. And with that, I cannot wait to see the next addition to the Serve series.

ARC Courtesy of Entangled Publishing This is the second book in this wonderful new series by the talented Tessa Bailey and it is just as phenomenal as the first one. If you like your romance books with a touch of BDSM and a whole lot of alpha male then this is the one for you. This book is about Oliver and Eliza. Oliver is Caroline (from the first books) brother and Eliza is her best friend. Therefore technically his sisters best friend, which means hands off. Problem is Oliver has always been attracted to Eliza and when she offers him a one in a million chance he cant but help himself to what fate has so nicely handed to him on a silver platter. Eliza wants to have a great sex life. Her best friend is currently involved with Jonah the owner of the wicked BDSM club Serve and she wants the same smile on her face that Caroline has every morning. She is determined to have that with the hot Brit Porter whom she met at the club in the first book. On the night where she decides to go through with it and head upstairs with Porter she bumps into Oliver, her BFF's hot older brother. She has always crushed on him. But he put the word whore in manwhore and the play in the word Player, therefore totally out of her league. When Oliver tries to get her not to go upstairs with Porter she offers him a ultimatum. Teach her what she has been missing with sex and introduce her to the world of BDSM in 3 hot nights so that she will be ready for Porter. When Oliver agrees, she cant believe her luck. Take a wonderful and sexy ride with these 2 as they navigate their 3 nights together where in the end they both don't want to let go. A great, sexy and awesome read and can I just say how fantastic that Ms Bailey writes so quick as we did not have to wait to long in between books..... Love it!!!
