About the Author

Ike Hamill writes fast-paced horror novels with strong, relatable characters. Since 2011 his books have gained a steady following amongst readers who enjoy his blend of sci-fi, paranormal, occult, and suspense. His first series, "The Hunting Tree," became popular enough for Ike to leave his day job and focus entirely on writing. Since that series, Ike's popularity has grown, with "Extinct" becoming his most-read book to date. In some of his books, Ike takes on the entire world. With his recent book, "Migrators," Ike presents a story that focuses on a small family. In either setting, Ike draws compelling characters whom readers are sad to leave behind when the book is finished.

Reviewers compare Ike to Dean Koontz and Stephen King--two of his favorite authors. His narrative often jumps between interwoven stories, presenting readers with a fresh perspective and keeping them guessing until the last chapter. I loved this book from start to finish! Action packed! I just wish I could get the sequel for my Nook Please!!!

Fast paced story. When I was done I wondered about some of the untold back stories. That they are skipped is not detremental to the story overall, but left me curious as to why they were left out. I like the combination of dystopian and fanciful elements. It allows for just about anything to happen. Would definitely read the sequel when it is available on Nook.

This was a good story, at times it drags a little but over all well done. Good theory as to why the world maybe ending. Over all 4.5. This book is about 300pgs. It seems sequel is out but not on nook, if it comes to nook I will read the next! **spoiler the reason I didn't give it a 5 was because when Brad got back to the group he didn't tell them what happened.

Started out good but seemed rushed. As multiple survivors appear, they "disappear", rather quickly. Oh hum ending, not sure what happened really.

I read this free version of Extinct right after I read “The Godfather” for the first time, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Well I loved it. It was a bit strange starting off, but the kind of strange a good book uses to pull you into its world. Am definitely looking forward to “Instinct” and whatever follows that one!

I loved this book. The story moved along well and kept my interest all the way thru. Stayed up reading until 3:30 am one night. Good characters and suspense.
