Fables Animal Farm is truly a cut above the rest, delivering an experience that is innovative and worth your time. Not only does it contain the most captivating ideas, but it also manages to execute them in a manner that is not just entertaining, but utterly thrilling. Indeed, Willingham keeps the action going and makes this second installment absolutely impossible to put down. Ultimately, Animal Farm exceeds the first in pacing and originality. So, even if you didn't like Legends in Exile (Fables vol.1), give this one a try. My only complaint is that the paper used for these paperback editions doesn't do the artwork justice (pictures are relatively dull and this detracts from the overall quality of the experience), but people who have read other Vertigo paperbacks should be accustomed to this. Nevertheless, this is no reason to miss out on this fantastic read - and fortunately, hardcover editions with art grade paper are being released. Overall, Fables is a quality read.

Well that was something. Really good sequel. Adds this series to list of series, graphic novels or manga that I have yet to finish or continue. Also didn't know the game was based on the series. I read the first one then was going to continue reading but stopped for some reason then found there was a game and made me pick up the series again. Though to be fair I think I'm liking the game more, based on how the character's personalities in that than this. But I still like reading the series as well for the stories, the art and which characters you'll see.
