In the conclusion to her acclaimed Three Sisters Island trilogy, #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts masterfully evokes the quaint charm of New England, weaving a spellbinding tale of true love—and sheer magic…

Mia Devlin knows what it’s like to love with your whole heart—and then watch your love walk away. Years ago, she and Sam Logan shared an incredible bond built on passion, legend, and fate. But then one day he fled Three Sisters Island, leaving her lost in memories of the magic they shared—and determined to live on her own…

As the new owner of the island’s only hotel, Sam has returned to Three Sisters with hopes of winning back Mia’s affections. He is puzzled when she greets him with icy indifference—for the chemistry between them is still sizzling and true. Angry, hurt, and deeply confused, Mia refuses to admit that a desire for Sam still burns in her heart. But she’ll need his help—and his powers—to face her greatest, most terrifying challenge. And as the deadline for breaking a centuries-old curse draws near, they must take the first step toward destiny—and come together to turn back the dark…

From Face the Fire:From across the street, he studied Café Book. He should have known Mia would have taken what had been a neglected building and turned it into something lovely, elegant, and productive. The front window held a display of books and potted spring flowers scattered around a lawn chair. Two of her deepest loves, he mused. Books and flowers. She’d used them both in a way that suggested it was time to take a break from the yard work, sit down and enjoy the fruits of the labor with a ride in a story. He stood where he was, hands in his pockets, until he realized he was procrastinating. There was little more turbulent than Mia Devlin in full temper. He expected her to lash out at him in blistering fury the minute she laid eyes on him again. And who could blame her? Then again, he thought with a grin, there was little more arousing than Mia Devlin in full temper. It would be…;entertaining to strike words with her again. Just as it would be satisfying to soothe that temper away.He crossed the street and opened the door to Café Book. Lulu was behind the counter. He’d have recognized her anywhere. The tiny woman with a gnome’s face almost swallowed up by silver-framed glasses had, essentially, raised Mia.

I started the series as someone who had never read any books by Nora Roberts. I generally like fantasy books like the Merry Gentry series by LKH and the Twelve Houses series by Sharon Shinn. I really enjoyed this trilogy! It was a nice break and it is not some never ending 27 book series with a deteriorating plot (yes Anita Blake, I'm talking about you!). I really enjoyed this book and I thought it was thoughtfully written and wrapped up without being silly like a lot of books about witches are. While Nell is my favorite character I really enjoyed Mia as a main character. Sam for me wasn't the most apealing guy but oh well! He was fun to read at least. I am going to say again if you are looking for a fun and short series about witches, this is a great choice!

I loved this series, I want more I was a little sad it had to end. I recommend this series if you like to read about friendship, love, and a little paranormal. *****

With the return of Sam Logan, Mia has a lot on her mind and both think back to their past and when they were together. This book at times dragged a little but is still a good read. My favorite out of the three would have to be Nell. I don't know if it's just me but did the ending seem a little rushed? Good reads that you'll probably like if you like witches or are a fan of Nora Roberts.

I don't ususally read Nora Roberts work but my best friend highly recommended the series. I did enjoy the books. I really liked how the whole family was tied into the picture.

An okay novel. I like the book, but the theme of magic that Roberts starts to develop in her books I'm not that into.

This is, by far, my favourite of the trilogy. Mia is the sort of strong female character that I LOVE. I adore that she was strong enough to look inside herself, to realize what she needed to do, to recognize her own weaknesses. That she has a blindside when it came to Sam made her human and made me like her all the more. When Sam first entered the scene here, I was a little reluctant to accept him with powers, but I quickly came to the conclusion that Mia needed someone exactly like Sam; she couldn't have been paired with anyone less. Her relationship had to have been deeply woven within her being for her to accept it, and NR did a fantastic job of bringing that mystical part to life without being too cheesy. LOVED this one.

As I read through Dance Upon The Air I could have have sworn I¿d read it before, but it was still hazy enough that I couldn¿t be sure. I am sure, however, that I hadn¿t already read Heaven And Earth or Face The Fire. I enjoyed the trilogy, but it¿s not one that I¿ll rave about it and force upon unsuspecting readers everywhere. The magic element was very well written, but something about Nora Roberts bothers me. I just can¿t lay my finger on it.

I like Mia, I like Sam. I liked the story. The only thing that throws me off is the spells.

Great ending to a wonderful trilogy.

A MUST read series. Fully developed characters with great editing (there's nothing I hate more than a poorly punctuated or spelled book). Nora Roberts rocks! From one of her 71 year old fans. ?

Nora Roberts is a master of character development and interaction. You get to know and care about them, and in this book laugh at their humor. The dialogue between the characters is very funny at times , e.g. , " ...the mattress rhumba".
