Overview

Fairytale Come Alive by Kristen Ashley

In Isabella Austin Evangelista's life miracles never happen...she knows she's destined to be the princess who's stuck in the middle of a fairytale where there will be no happily ever after.

Once upon a time, Prentice Cameron loved Isabella Austin. Until he discovered she was a spoiled rich girl who spent her summers toying with his heart.

Life led Prentice to his own fairytale, the love of the full-of-life Fiona Sawyer. That being so, that fairytale was torn away when Fiona died, leaving Prentice with a house to keep clean, piles of laundry to be done, a business to run and two children who were getting tired of takeaway.

But Isabella comes back to Prentice's tiny fishing town and she sweeps into his children's lives like a beautiful, well-dressed fairy godmother who bakes exquisite chocolate cakes and gives the perfect manicure to six-year-old girls. Then Prentice finds out Isabella's soul-destroying secrets, secrets that explain why she left him so many years ago.

Fiona, stuck in her village and forced to haunt her family and watch Prentice and Isabella's crazy dance, finds the impossible happening. She's cheering for Bella and Prentice to rekindle their love. Then she finds out why she's caught in her heartbreaking haunting and discovers she must embrace her magic and keep Bella safe or Bella's fairytale will never come true.

About the Author

Kristen Ashley is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. She grew up in Indiana, but has lived in Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she's been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least), but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, living in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

I couldn't put this book down! I admit I was mad at Pren on the beginning but kinda fell in love in the middle but was totally in love by the end! Top 10 of my FAVS from KA!

I delayed in reading KA's Ghosts and Reincarnation series, worried about whether I could get into that aspect of it. I am so, so, SO happy I finally read this series. This book was freaking phenomenal. I totally balled my eyes out in a few parts and Pren was so freaking swoon worthy it is ridiculous. If you have been holding back from this series because of the ghost aspect of it, give it a shot. All of them are really, really good and well written.

I gotta admit - I didn't like Bella or Pren the first couple chapters. Honestly, I kinda wished the book had been about supporting cast instead of them....THEN Ashley went deeper (as is her way) and I started liking both. I identified best with the ghost because I went back and forth so much! LOL. The best part of this book? The development of the story. It just shows how great of a story teller Ashley is. Hang in past the 3rd chapter and you'll be IN love instead of just like.

This story is beautiful. And funny. And EVERYTHING a fairy god story shud be. You'll absolutely adore the ppl ur suppose to & then some. Not to mention the evil twisted ones you'll feel real hate for. Well close anyway. I'm writing this with tears drying on my face. You'll have to read it to find out why. Trust me its worth it. Rhop

I laughed repeatedly, cried sad/beautiful tears, and bought the next book in this series as soon as I finished reading this one. Thank you, Ms. Ashley for keeping me well entertained.

I love quite a few of her books, but this was so good and thoughtful and unique, I dont even know what to say. It brought tears to my eyes, I laughed out loud, and when the story ended I was content. Ashley is a very talented writer.

Isabella Austin Evangelista and Prentice Cameron were once in love and planning to marry till her father stepped in and forbid it from ever happening. Prentice thought she was just a spoiled rich girl toying with his heart. Later in life Prentice found his own fairytale, Fiona Sawyer who gave him two children. Then life took it all away when Fiona passed away. When Prentice and Isabella's friends get married they come into each others lives again. Prentice doesn't want Isabella in his kids lives and makes that painfully clear until he finds and reads her journals and learns the reasons why she left so many years ago. Fiona is stuck and forced to watch Prentice and Isabella's dance flipping between cheering and hating for Isabella. I laughed and cried throughout this whole story. I was heartbroken for Isabella and Prentice and what they went through. I waited to read this because I was on the fence about it. Yet when I started reading it I couldn't put it down! This has to be one of my Top 10 of KA books I've read. So many emotions came pouring out with this book.
