About the Author

Leslie Tentler worked in public relations as a writer and editor for nearly two decades before deciding to pursue her love of writing fiction. Her first manuscript won multiple Romance Writers of America chapter contest awards, including the prestigious Maggie Award of Excellence. Leslie is a native of Kingsport, Tennessee. Growing up, she was an avid reader, first of Nancy Drew novels and then surreptitiously devouring her mother's historical romances at probably too young an age. As she got older, her reading interests moved to dark contemporary romantic thrillers, which she writes today. She is a member of Romance Writers of America, International Thriller Writers, the Authors Guild, and Mystery Writers of America and lives in Atlanta with her husband, Robert, and their standard poodle, Tori.

Marguerite Gavin is a seasoned theater veteran, a five-time nominee for the prestigious Audie Award, and the winner of numerous AudioFile Earphones and Publishers Weekly awards. She has been an actor, director, and audiobook narrator for her entire professional career. With over four hundred titles to her credit, her narration spans nearly every genre, from nonfiction to mystery, science fiction, fantasy, romance, and children's fiction. AudioFile magazine says, "Marguerite Gavin...has a sonorous voice, rich and full of emotion."

I first discovered Ms Tentlers books with her wonderful Midnight Trilogy (Midnight Caller, Midnight Fear, Edge of Midnight) a great blend of police procedural, romance and suspense and have been eagerly anticipating her next work since then. In Fallen we meet ER physician Dr Lydia Costa and her ex husband Ryan Winter, who is a homicide detective. A friend and fellow police officer has just been murdered and Ryan has managed to link this death with the murder of another cop a few weeks earlier. Ryan and his partner head the case looking for the murderer, hoping he doesn’t strike again and this brings him back into contact with Lydia. Lydia works an exhausting schedule as an ER Doctor. She throws herself into her work to try and cope with a devastating loss in her past – which ended her marriage to Ryan. She has unresolved issues and is trying to sort them out by herself the best way she can. But being close to Ryan again brings everything to a head. Romantic suspense is my favourite genre and Ms Tentler excels with her writing. The police procedural is well researched, makes sense and is great to follow. This blended with strong characterisations and a solid romance make her an auto buy author for me. The pacing is lovely throughout – that neat combination of suspense that has you turning the pages and a believable romance woven through make it a “just one more chapter” read. Both Ryan and Lydia have been through so much together and apart that you are rooting for them all the way. Ms Tentler also manages to throw in a surprise or two to keep things hopping. Engrossing. Moving. Recommended.

I have now read all of Leslie's books in less than a month! I think this was my favorite. One of those books you can't wait to find out what happens next, but so sad when the book ends.

Surprisingly, prior to June, I had never read a book written by Leslie Tentler, nor had I really even heard much about her or her books! I couldn't have picked a better first book to read, as I was smittenly (if that's a word!) captivated by Fallen! I knew that I would love listening to this book, as Marguerite Gavin is one of my all-time favorite narrators! She narrates a lot of Karen Rose books, and ironically, I felt that Tentler's writing very closely resembled that of Karen Rose, which is nothing to be ashamed of!!! Fallen immediately started out keeping you hanging on the edge of your seat, and kept you in that same position, if not edging you over more and more the further you got into the story. The story flowed nicely with a great development of characters! Overall, I LOVED this book, and only wish I could find more books that left me with the feelings I had after reading this! All too often since reading, I find myself trying to find something that closely resembles this, because it left that great of an impression on me! Great job Leslie Tentler! This book is a HOME RUN!!!

I really enjoyed this book. It grabbed my attention with the prologue and didn’t let go. It was one of those books that I didn’t want to put down and couldn’t wait to pick it back up again. It had an excellent balance of romance and suspense. The writing was detailed but not graphic and flowed nicely. The police investigation was interesting and realistic. I was really taken by surprise at who the serial killer was in the end.  The characters in this book were well developed, complex, and likeable.  It was clear from the beginning that there was still a lot of chemistry between Ryan and Lydia. I found that their back story was nicely incorporated into the story and didn’t distract from the overall plot. I would definitely recommend this book to fans of romantic suspense. Leslie Tentler is a talented author who writes engaging stories that keep you on the edge of your seat. I am looking forward to reading more of her work. **I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

If you like reading riveting romantic suspense novels that keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat, then Fallen is the book for you! Author Leslie Tentler weaves a thrilling tale that follows the murders of Atlanta police officers by a serial killer that unwittingly brings an ex-married couple back together for an unexpected second chance at love. Atlanta Homicide Detective Ryan Winters and ER Doctor Lydia Costa were once married until a tragedy tore their marriage apart. leaving them with a painful divorce that neither has gotten over. Ryan and Lydia are brought back together when a series of serial cop killings occur in Atlanta. With unresolved painful personal issues between them and a dangerous threat existing, can Ryan and Lydia survive the serial killer's ruthless murders and find their way back to each other? Fallen is an intriguing romantic suspense thriller that easily draws the reader into Ryan and Lydia's story. It has enough drama, tension, emotion, unrequited love, and surprising twists and turns that keeps the reader sitting on the edge of their seat guessing what will happen next. You can't help but feel the palpable chemistry and connection that still exists between Ryan and Lydia, and when you add in the suspense and mystery of who the serial killer could be, you get a riveting story that you simply won't be able to put down. The author does a wonderful job of interweaving the suspenseful mystery with the intense and passionate second chance romance. The storyline flows seamlessly with a strong realistic cast of characters and witty dialogue that makes you feel like you are transported into the action and drama that make up this exciting story. What could be better than reading a story about two people torn apart by tragedy only to find their way back to each other in the face of danger? Wow! Fallen is a must read for every romantic suspense fan, you won't be disappointed!
