This book contains short, interesting biographies of important women who have a place in history, but whom you may have missed. Women like Nellie Bly pretended to be insane to write about the conditions in New York 's notorious mental institution - "The Woman's Lunatic Asylum on Blackwell's Island." Or Margaret Bourke-White, whose photos of the holocaust were used as evidence against Nazi leaders after the war. All of the women journalists fought for what they believe in and took enormous risks. FEARLESS FEMALE JOURNALISTS covers women from different parts of the world, past and present, who help shape the world by giving a voice to important issues like the holocaust, women's roles in society, the Taliban, cancer, and more.
