Can a kitten help a dog in trouble? She can if she has compassion and courage! Even though she's new to the farm, Feebs' willingness to help Ollie outweighs her fear of being in a new place, alone, and at night. She leads a rescue after a storm causes a branch to break, fall, and pin poor Ollie to the ground. She's awarded an awesome red "bandana" which shows she's part of the bandana buddies - a club created by Maddie for the animals as they learn important lessons or show valuable friendship qualities. Feebs is introduced to a new friend the next day: a barn owl.

I absolutely loved this book! From the adorable illustrations to the Glossary of words used in the story, it is a must have for your child's reading list! The map in the beginning of the book sets the scene as you follow Feebs the cat as she tries to earn her Bandana. She must prove that she is a true friend to the animals on the farm. This is a great story that teaches children how to be a friend. There are even questions at the end of the story to go over with your child to see what they would do in certain situations.
My daughter loves kitties, so “Feebs to the Rescue” was an instant hit with her. With adorable illustrations to match these critters’ adventures, the Bandana Acres are sure to please young readers. It’s easy to read and there’s a nice little lesson on friendship tucked inside.
My favorite part of the book is its emphasis on doing what is right. As a former second grade teacher and now a homeschooler, there are so many avenues to discuss this with children. This story makes true friendship an "in thing" and models how kids can invite people into their circles and develop better bridges in their relationships. I love the different color text throughout to show what the kitty is thinking. Highly recommended!
After reading Feebs to the Rescue it made me want to live on Bandana Acres! The animals had so much love and respect for each other. In Feebs exciting adventure he learned to overcome fear and have courage in a tough situation! The questions at the end of the book make this more than just a good read. They help to guide children to think about how they would react in a similar circumstance. I highly recommend this book.
