Feral: A Hog Hunter's Diary

I hand carry my thermal, so I am not waving a rifle around when I'm scanning a field. My scope is on a quick detach mount and I practiced removing and mounting it back to my rifle dozens of times until I could do it quickly and silently, without looking. I pull grass to mimic the sounds of a hog or cow. On a quiet night, the dull snap of coarse grass being pulled carries at least 50 yards.
