Tao Le, MD, MHS, is Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Allergy and Immunology at the University of Louisville. He is also affiliated with the Division of Allergy and Immunology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Description: This study guide for the level one national board examinations required of medical students is not intended as a comprehensive review, but rather as an adjunct that uses a patient-case format to help students understand the clinical context of the material.
Purpose: Used in conjunction with other study guides, this book will assist medical students in understanding the clinical relevance of the basic science material. It will greatly assist students in preparing for the case vignettes commonly used on the national boards and in classroom examinations.
Audience: Although intended for medical students at the end of their second year in preparation for their board studies, this book also will serve as a nice review of basic science principles prior to third-year clinical rotations.
Features: This book provides clinical correlations for the basic science covered in the first two years of medical school.
