4 Stars Flight Path is a unique romance, in the fact that the main couple Madelyn and Seth are already married, and in a long term relationship. This pair are a beautiful couple, their love is true and sincere, despite their young age. Their story is moving, emotional and at times heartbreaking, as they struggle to navigate life as a military family, dealing with the reality that is life with deployments. Madelyn and Seth are incredibly endearing and relate-able. For a debut novel Ms Addison has done an incredible job of writing a story that is both captivating and enthralling. Anyone who is a fan of Cristin Harber's Titan series, will recognise the inclusion of Cash Garrison. I've got to say the cover of Flightpath is incredibly beautiful, and I will be looking forward to more of Ms Addison's work in the future.

This book! I adore it so much! It’s a powerful, thought-provoking, emotional rollercoaster that I think everybody is going to love. I first read Flightpath when it originally released as part of Cristin Harber’s Titan World and thoroughly enjoyed it, it was my favourite out of the 11 books in that series of books. There was just something about it that I identified with. Maybe because my dad worked away when I was a kid, not in the military, but still, that sense of not knowing, it’s there; the communication difficulties, the airport scenes. Yeah, I could relate. Then maybe it was the fact that this is such a perfect love story. Seth and Maddie are the perfect couple, they have a love everybody hopes they’ll one day achieve. But, mainly, it was Amber’s writing. She writes so beautifully, describing places, scenes, and emotion so well that the reader is awestruck by its beauty. I laughed, and I cried, and I swooned. Amber does something pretty unique and special in this story, she immerses you into the lives of these characters, so much so, that you feel connected to them on an emotional level, the things they were feeling, you felt with them. The struggles they experienced, well, you’re right there with them too. It also gives a great understanding of the military life, how couples cope with the separation and the effects it has on the relationship. Either a lot of research went into this aspect of the book, or she has some firsthand knowledge – it really upped the appeal of this book. I was extremely invested in this story and what was happening between these characters. Amber’s writing is flawless, it’s hard to believe this is her first published book, she writes like a pro! Not only does she Captivate you with the story of Seth and Maddie, but she draws you in with supporting characters too. This story is beautiful. I wanna know more about Matt and Katie. I loved that Olivia was a forward kid, I’m surrounded by smart little boys that were talking away from being a toddler so it’s nice to see that in a book, rather than have her just babble. Maddie is awesome, she is so sassy, which I love, she has a lot to deal with. Her husband is halfway across the world in a war zone, not having instant answers to her worries, having a baby, all of it, I felt for her and could understand her reactions and worries. Seth, good heavens, this man is so swoon-worthy, it’s not even funny, he’s taken – I have it in writing from the author, so don’t get any ideas. He is sweet and sexy, and he’s strong and smart. He has that commanding presence to him, that makes you just want to do whatever he says. It’s funny because some lines if anyone would say them I’d find them quite condescending, but with Seth, they were just perfect, they were a part of his character and came from his heart. If I’m ever in trouble, please, for the love of everything, send Seth to save me. I loved that they were in it together, it was always them against the world and they fought for their love. This book was wonderful the first time around, and it’s even better this time. The extended epilogue is cute and fits with the story and gives it a nice finish. The new cover, swoon, it’s so perfect, it’s Seth and Maddie without a doubt. I thought I loved the original cover, which I did, but this is even better. A little advice – make sure you have those kleenexes handy. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer… because I wasn’t ready to leave this couple. I want more!

Flightpath grabbed my attention at the blurb which sounded right up my street: a young, married couple coping with Air Force life and the deployments which come as part of that package. Plus it’s loosely linked to Cristin Harbor’s Titan series and I’m all for a bit more of Cash Garrison who also features. Split into three sections—Before, Present and Epilogue, Seth and Madelyn take us on a journey spanning several years. And whilst there’s no question that Amber Addison can create endearing characters, the storyline structure let this down somewhat as, for the large part, readers are told rather than shown. “The cup of love didn’t overflow....” Granted it was more so in the first half, but major life events were covered in a couple of paragraphs and time jumps left me feeling I’d missed out, yet in the latter half when we were shown much more, Addison displayed a writing style I found myself enjoying, which in turn lifted this story up. “I’ll be forever grateful for the flightpath we traveled to get us here, no matter the amount of bumps and bruises along the way.” Whilst by no means a difficult read, Flightpath was let down by its shorter length: I understand the necessity for the story to be moved along at a quicker pace at certain points, but had certain aspects been elaborated on, it would have added depth and value all round and taken this from average to great. And whilst it may not have been the perfect read for me, the author has done enough to ensure I check out Kate and Matt’s story.

This story is a standalone novel that is part of the Titan World release in which authors include characters from Cristin Harber’s Titan series. This is Ms. Addison’s first published book. This story is told from past to present, and from both protagonists point of view in segments. The story goes from Maddie and Seth in their teen years, their marriage and how his commitment to the military affects them. Seth is in the Air Force and is a pararescue specialist. Maddie is a student, a mom and a military wife. The characters are very human; they have their faults and their goodness. The plot is good and it makes sense in today’s world. It took a while for me to get used to the multiple points of view and the segmentations, but when I did get used to it, I really enjoyed reading the story. I plan to read her next book when it is published.

Amber Addison added another wonderful story to the Titan World. Seth and Maddie's story touched all bases - faithfulness, loneliness, devotion, doubt, fear, danger and most of all true love. Their love and bond deepened when their daughter, Olivia, was born. Maddie made sure Olivia knew her father even though he was half way around the world most of her young life. When terror hit home, Maddie ratholed Olivia in the ladies room to keep her safe just like Mia did with Clara in the Titan Series "Winter's Heat".

Seth and Madelyn Blaise always knew that they would be together. They just fit. Married when Madelyn is just 19. The couple vow that whatever challenges life brings, they will face together. But when Seth decides to pursue his dream of joining the Air Force and becoming part of their elite Pararescue Corps. Both their love and their bond are tested in ways that neither Seth nor his wife could ever imagine. Ways that you as the reader will never forget. Seth and Madelyn Blaise's story is one the military families the world over live everyday. A story which speaks to the power of love, the value of service, and the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity. Even when said adversity comes closer to home in an unimaginable way. Flightpath is a love story through and through. But not just a love story in the romantic sense. This is a story about a man's love for his wife, his life, his baby, his country, his job, his service, and his world. It is the story of a wife and her love of her husband, her child, her family, her world...and all the things they both do to protect and cherish all that they each hold dear. Following Seth's military career from it's start, through to its rather dramatic end. This heartwarming dual perspective read gives an up close and personal view of military life from both sides. With each side receiving equal weight within the read. Readers can't help falling in love with this honest and forthright story of two people doing all they can to keep their relationship, lives, and love on course. This is a love story that you will want to read again and again. Especially if you are a fan of movies like The Lucky One and An Officer And A Gentleman. *Reviewer's Note: Bring tissues!!! You will definitely need them. This book is part of a companion collection and may be read as a standalone.*
