A year had passed since former Marines Jane Carter and Tanner Riley completed their journey on the Appalachian Trail. Meanwhile, a tactical team of FBI agents in Missoula, Montana, is on a desperate search for two deranged serial killers responsible for a string of gruesome murders that has the entire city on high alert.
