Q&A With Leeanna:

You live in New Zealand. Why did you decide to set your novels in Montana?

When I started writing Gracie's story in Forever Dreams I had no idea we'd end up in Montana. But Gracie is a determined woman. She hopped on a plane and left New Zealand for Big Sky country and the most incredible journey of her life. Along the way we discovered that New Zealand has more in common with Montana than we thought - amazing scenery, lots of wide open spaces, and people with kind hearts and warm smiles. We found a home away from home and decided to stay.

Who are the authors you enjoy reading?

I love happy endings :) My favorite authors are Nora Roberts, Jill Shalvis, Kristan Higgins, SJ McCoy, Melody Grace, Jayne Ann Krentz, Barbara Freethy, Tess Gerritsen, Debbie Macomber, Cora Seton, and Bella Andre.

What are the best things about being an author?

I enjoy bringing a character's happy ever after to life. It's wonderful plotting out a book, seeing my hero and heroine overcome obstacles and find true love. I also enjoy receiving feedback from my readers. It's wonderful when a story touches someone's heart.

I am so over the romance novels where the heroine is a virgin who has remarkable, mindblowing, graphic sex with a gazillionaire who thinks she is a prostitute/gift/sex toy. Amy's story of abuse explains why she is strong in how she protects herself. Nathan's story makes his insecurities about her a good twist. A good read when you're in forced bedrest. A good way to while away a couple hours.

I liked the first book better than this one, it was slow and conversations lasted too long. I loved Nathan, but Amy didn't treat him nicely until the end, so it felt rushed.

This book was okay, I thought the first book in the series was better.  Some parts of the book went really slow for me, sort of dragged on.  This book took place in Montana, yet they called the baby's crib a cot, well a cot in America is what soldiers and campers sleep in. If foreign writers are going to write American stories, they should at least learn our  vocabulary.  I will probably read the third book in the series,  but if it is as slow as this one it will be my last book by this author.

Enjoyed the story very much. Amy and Nathan had many issues to overcome and each were serious ones. Abandonment, trust issues, fear ,damaged self esteem, and many more but somehow love came to the rescue and it resulted in an HEA. Story gives hope. Glad I read it.

Renewing They fell for each other as teens but then she left to become a doctor. He survived a fire and she has custody of her little sister. And she brought her to Bozeman to the only people she considers family. A wonderful continuation of the series.

This was a good book. I really liked how Amy loves her sister and her second family, he Grays. She was super sweet, even though I felt she didn’t fight hard enough for some of the things she wanted in life. Then there is Nathan Gray. He is a man that knew what he wanted and he fought for it. I liked that there was build up in the relationship between them.

Just a comment to the objection about the use of cot rather than crib. In some areas of this country, USA, some still use the words they grew up with. Often the wording is regional and that can change often within a state or larger area. Here we say soda yet west of us it's pop. Suffice it to say you didn't enjoy the book.
