Maine, Present Day
Author Claire Channing is desperate to write a bestseller to save her failing career. She moves into her grandmotherʼs abandoned cottage to write the book, but a local resort baron wants to raze the place. Without the deed, the clock is ticking on how long she can stay. She thinks she's writing St. Johnʼs story. But when she discovers an old prayer shawl and finds herself in his Regency world, she falls in love with him, a man she thought she invented! Miss Andrews, however, is also real--and she'd rather see Julian dead than in another womanʼs arms!
Claire must beat the clock to prevent a deadly tragedy, but can love beat the limits of time itself?

I would read anything Linore Rose Burkard writes.. It takes a great author to write so well in multiple genres, and this regency time travel is a great addition to Linore's other works, including a Christian Regency series and her heart stopping dystopian trilogy. This is an author you don't want to miss!

With eccentric characters, well-defined period details (have you been to 1816, Ms Burkard?) and a rollicking plot, Linore Rose Burkard takes us on a fast-paced, unpredictable journey that leaves the reader breathless until the very end. Janice Dick, Author, Calm Before the Storm
Loved this book! Unpredictability made me giggle in places. Great characterization and descriptions, creating a vivid picture, and the pressures in each time period created lasting suspense. A really good read.

I loved it! I'm not usually a fan of historical romance, and so I was initially drawn to this book because of the time travel element. So while I came for the time travel, I found myself gripped by the romance! I felt like I was there! In fact, I will miss spending time with the protagonists now that I've finished the book. I recommend it to science fiction and romance readers alike!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Forever, Lately: A Regency Time Travel Romance, by Linore Rose Burkard, a historical, “regency” romance where Clair Jennings, a writer, finds herself traveling back and forth between London in 1816 and present day. Burkard does an excellent job of keeping the reader on track of where and when the main character finds herself. Clair Jennings is faced with difficult decisions. The protagonist plays out well, keeping us on the edge of our seat. I found myself gasping midway through the book and speaking out loud by the shock of what I had just read. Burkhard does an excellent job at pulling the reader into her story while tugging on their emotions. I love a good clean time travel book and surprisingly found myself reading historical fiction for the first time. I was intrigued at the language written in the story, making the time period believable. The quotes starting out each chapter are right on target. The cover could have been more appealing but did not stop from reading the book. I did feel the intensity on the second half did slow down just a bit. Overall, I highly recommend Forever, Lately: A Regency Time Travel Romance, by Linore Rose Burkard. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through BookCrash.com book review program. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
