I lost my mind that day.
I arrived home, to my wife's sweet color, stripped. Her body motionless, slain in a puddle of blood, her delicate skin, riddled with multiple stab wounds. The brutality of the rape was horrendous. My precious little girl lain in the middle of the floor, pillow securely duct taped on her face. Her tiny body, left unmoving. I've never screamed so savagely, wishing I was dead before in my life.
I've long given up on any light in my life, jaded. I wasn't expecting to be blinded with friction, by a fucking ray of sunshine.
I had no idea what to do with my life or my baby's. I trusted the wrong man, who turned out to be a ghost, disappearing, leaving me scattered. I head to my brothers club, in hopes of leaning on the only shoulder I've ever known.
What I find instead, is a hunter. A fiercely loyal, broken man, just waiting for his next kill.

Loved this book! Twist and Sadie have a sweet but gritty romance. This book has some great twist and turns. I have read it several times and it gets better with each read! I would recommend reading the previous books (or anything by Sapphire Knight!) in the series but you can read it as a standalone.
Twist-ed Over You! Here's my spoiler-free review with a quick note! I read Princess, then bought & read the entire series to catch up! That's how addictive Sapphire's world of words, writing, and books are! I didn't even stop, but voice recorded my reviews for each book, to write later; which will be going up soon! I would read all books in the order suggested, if you are planning to read this series, since the character's intertwine, and don't make plans as these books are addicting! Now onto my review as best as I can and these books are not YA! Get ready for another emotional roller-coaster as you will feel the emotions that the character's feel! Twist has a horribly broken and shattered past, which will tear you up too! In other books, he is unlikable or intriguing...depends on how you look at him! Sadie is a strong, but currently a "lost" woman, who comes looking for her brother, 2 Piece, at the MC. Insta-love & hot scenes! Twist doesn't think he deserves her, she thinks she can save him. With her brother thinking she deserves better too, the past haunting both of them, enemies of the MC, and so much more... Action, adventure, hot scenes, fast paced, gritty, and what you would picture a real life MC to be! Can the two of them make it work, even if they wanted too?
Good MC romance book
Every time I pick up a new book from Sapphire Knight, I get a sudden rush of anxiety. I begin to worry...not about how good the book will be, far from it actually. But I worry about how I'm going to feel after my emotions will be put through a grinder, over and over again. And after every book, I know I worried for no reason. I would experience everything all over again! And no matter how hard I tried to prepare myself, Friction left me gutted unlike any previous Oath Keepers book has before. Everything from characters, to story line, and to writing was an exceptionally powerful combination of anguish and ecstasy! Life should be a culmination of highs and lows. But when Twist experiences the worst form of low you can ever imagine, he becomes just that....twisted. Everyone he loved and cherished was taken from him. But when a chance at a better life enters his world, he becomes twisted for whole new reasons he doesn't understand. Scared and alone, Sadie seeks out the help from the only man she could ever trust. But instead, what she didn't expect to find was a man just as scared and alone as she was. Can they learn to love and let go of their pasts, together? Or will the lows overshadow any possibility of an unknown, brighter future? I can't imagine being in Twist's shoes. What he endured left me heartbroken, and in utter despair. No wonder he turned into the man he is! But as tormented as he was, he still had the ability to care and protect Sadie with everything he had. And he acted as any man would when faced with hard, conflicting emotions, mixed with his hellish past...trying and failing to do what he thought was right when it came to Sadie. She was the perfect cure for what was ailing Twist deep in his soul. She saw past the tough exterior and harsh words, to the man who truly lived inside him, and she refused to let him go. Sadie stood her ground and didn't allow Twist to push her away, when she could have easily given up and focused on her own new life ahead. Strong and loyal, she was the perfect match for Twist! This story was built off so much that already happened in the previous books, but I never felt like I was reading the same book, at all! It focuses on the deeper issues surrounding Twist and Sadie's relationship that was just hinted at before. Each turn of the page was a new discovery, I loved it! Loss, torment, agony, passion and desires all play a part in this amazing book! If you've read Sapphire's previous Oath Keepers novels, you cannot pass up Friction! A MUST READ!!! 5 Twisted Stars!
Stars: 5 (is there a higher rating I can click?) First off. I love this book. When I first was introduced to Twist, back in Exposed, I said there's more to this guy and I want to know what makes him tick. I was able to learn about him in so many ways through this book and I am pleased to say I was NOT disappointed! Sadie is just what Twist needs and vice versa. My heart was so full of emotion I wanted to burst. You know in the Sound of Music where Julie Andrews sings in the meadow to the mountains? Imagine that as my heart's emotions. That's how powerful they feel with all the different moments. Sometimes it was happiness, sometimes it was anger, sometimes it was sadness, but every single time it was powerful and begging to be let out. I love the way that this book was written, and I can't wait to find out what's in store for Princess.
