About the Author

When she was in third grade, Megan Hart fell in love for the first time. Not with a boy (that would wait until fourth grade), but with a story. Homecoming by Ray Bradbury leaped out at her from the pages of a library book, and she tumbled head over heels. In the dark ages, before the days of photocopiers, the only way for her to keep a copy of this story was to copy it out by hand so she could read it over and over again. Something funny happened, though, as she carefully printed it on lined notebook paper.

While not as good as the Solace series still a very good read. Quick paced and even though you knew where it was headed it still keeps you interest.

3.50 Stars Great story with an even better background & premise that, IMO, would have been better suited in a full length format. Or, maybe I just love character development & watching storylines unfold and novellas just don't offer me that. They are more "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" which is good sometimes, but not all. I look forward to reading more from this author.

The story was well-written, kept my interest and flowed nicely with a great setting; I liked the characters and their background. The sex scenes were steamy but brief and light for an erotica, I was left wanting. I enjoyed the whole premises of Friendly Fire but honestly; it was just too short for me to become really invested in the characters. It was like when you see someone interesting walking down the street; you follow them with your eyes the whole way down until they disappear but once they turn that corner you're done with them and won't think about them again. Does that make sense? LoL Despite it being so short though Kendal and Zane's relationship didn't feel rushed and I felt that by the end it was more then just physical but there wasn't much in the way of closures and I wish there was an epilogue. Overall, a good read.

Quick read. The synopsis was written better than the book. Basically, I hate you, ok I like you, so now lets to to bed and stay together forever.

If I would have known this book was so short, I wouldn't have bought it.
