FROSTED SANDWICH LOAF ...
These loaves were all the rage in the 1950's, especially for ladies' luncheons or bridal/baby showers. I remember my mother making them all the time! In fact, I remember one baby shower that she brought one to, and it had alternating slices of pink and blue bread! The "frosting" can also be tinted to match the occasion. These are just as good today (and different from anything most of your friends have had) and they are MADE AHEAD!
