A former Marine and Las Vegas vice cop, Nathan Fox has seen it all and then some.  Heading up security for the Onyx Casino is tame compared to his dark past, but it's not his only job.  Working for the Reliance Group is his real passion project.  His current case:  a missing woman.  His mission: to find her.  Easy enough, until he finds himself tangled up with sexy Nicole Hutton, a stubborn—and stunning—journalist who's nosed her way into his investigation . . . and into his dirty, erotic fantasies.

Erika Wilde has always and will always be one of my go-to authors. Go-to for a myriad of reasons: she delivers relatable and lovable characters, super steamy romances, and enticing storylines. Game of Chance is no different. This book offers a high-intensity journey that starts of with a light-hearted one-night stands but quickly develops into so much more. Nicole and Nathan click from the get-go, their chemistry is off the rocks, and everytime we had to delve in deeper to the story, which absolutely gripped me, I couldn't help but be impatient for the next time Nicole and Nathan were behind closed doors. Until they just simply couldn't control themselves anymore and gave into the lust driving their attraction, and the banter and easiness that flowed between their thrown together relationship. This story is not typical by any stretch of the imagination, and just as much as I love Nicole and Nathan, the situation they find themselves in offers the complete opposite affect, but it also offers thrill and intensity that made this book so good. A definite must-read from Ms. Wilde, and I can't wait to see more from TRG and the Vegas Heat series! Happy Reading! *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*

This was a really good romantic suspense read. Between the chemistry that Nicole and Nathan have, and the drama that plays out, it had me drawn in the entire time. My heart broke for both of them, due to what they faced in the past, but I loved how it seemed to make each of them that much stronger. A fantastic story that I would definitely recommend!

This is Book 1 in the "Vegas Heat" Series and I really enjoyed it! Fast paced, this romantic suspense has all the elements for a great read! The story is full of suspense and the characters are very well done with a very interesting topic. Nicole and Nathan will work together and the chemistry between them is awesome! Erica Wilde does it again! A great read!

I love finding new authors to read, and Erika Wilde hasn’t disappointed me. This is the 1st book of a new revitalised 3 part series. Each book is a stand alone but still connected to one another by the main characters. It’s filled with a lot of suspense, drama, and darkness, that it feels so real. But it’s the love that gels it all together. Nathan Fox is a former marine and ex-vice cop now head of security at one of Las Vegas's biggest casinos in this action packed story. His newest assignment is one that will bring him face to face with his fears. Nicole Hutton, is a journalist giving what she thinks is a fluff piece to write about speed-dating. They meet at the event and it’s explosive right from the start. But, they both are just looking for a simple hook-up, nothing more. Whilst trying to sneak out, Nicola stumbles upon information to could help her investigative career, if only she can get a break and decides to go undercover to take a well known sex predator down. She meets up again with Nathan while doing so and he tries to make her leave for her own safety. These two are so stubborn and sure they are right, thankfully they put their differences aside for the sake of the case. With a past that haunts both, will this case allow them to move forward from before the person they are pursuing finds out who they really are? Or will they lose everything trying, including each other? Grab your copy today and find out.

Romantic suspense isn't usually something I read. It typically just stresses me out. But Erika Wilde did an INCREDIBLE job of making me fall in love with the characters, become invested in the story line and want nothing more than to see the bad guy fall and Nathan and Nicole to get their happily ever after. A story that was full of sexiness, seduction, angst and drama, this book is perfect for anyone who loves a well written, exciting story. Can't wait for the next one! Happy reading!

Omg! Talk about an edge of your seat, action packed story that I could not put down. I think I would classify this story as a dark romantic suspense. My heart definitely got a work out reading Game of Chance. This story was very suspenseful and it was kind of dark in that the subject matter of the case Nathan is involved in is unpleasant and would probably make every reader really despise the villain in the story. But in between this crazy suspenseful action, there's the love story between Nathan and Nicole. Their individual pasts were pretty emotional and really got to me. But I loved the way their relationship developed. Their meeting was cute. Their chemistry was smoking hot which translated to some really good sexy moments. Nicole was a bit stubborn at times but it worked for the story. Nathan was just yummy and really wonderful. They made a really good team in and out of the bedroom. Now that my heart rate is back to normal, I can't wait to read the next book in the series. * I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book *

I was so lost in Nathan and Nicole's world! I love good romantic suspense and this book was along those lines. Nathan and Nicole are working on bringing down a dangerous criminal together who does some of the worst things a human being can possibly do. I thought the story was a great story and very realistic in this day and age, which of course as a parent of a teenage daughter is so scary. I loved how both Nathan and Nicole were damaged by something in their past that relates to what they are trying to stop. The past has stopped them both from moving on and by working through their issues, they are able to face their past and move forward. I loved watching their walls crumble. I really loved this story. Great read!

Such an amazing start to the Vegas Heat Series. Erika Wilde brings you an action packed filled story with suspense, drama, darkness, real-life experiences, and love. Nathan Fox is a security expert, ex-Marine and Vice Cop, and a member of the Reliance Group. Nathan is given an assignment that will make him face his fears. Nicole Hutton, a journalist who is given an assignment to write about a Speed Dating event. Nathan and Nicole meet at the event and their chemistry is off the charts. Nathan and Nicole are afraid of intimacy and looking for just sex, and they hook up. Nicole stumbles across the case Nathan is assigned and it brings back hurtful memories. She decides to go undercover to expose Preston for the horrific man he is. Neither expect to see each other after their night together, and meet again while they are both undercover. Nathan knows how dangerous Preston is and he doesn't want Nicole anywhere near his assignment. Both of the characters are stubborn, have strong convictions about rescuing the client, and decide to work together. Each of them have something in their past that drives their desire to do everything that is necessary to be successful.

Game of Chance is an intoxicating, suspenseful, steamy roller coaster ride that I didn't want to get off of! Erika Wilde has such a way of building the drama, the suspense, the hotter-than-hot chemistry between and around these two phenomenal characters, I found myself wishing it would never end! Nathan Fox is a man who has experienced, and seen, things that haunt him...things that he feels guilty for....things that make him leery of ever getting involved in any kind of a relationship! That is, until fate steps in and puts a woman, Nicole Hutton, in his path...and the results are explosive!!! Nicole is a woman who has also experienced things that have made her determined to NEVER get involved with a man...other than the occasional purely sexual, no-emotions-involved, one-and-done encounter! But that fickle finger of fate has a way of rearranging the best laid plans and Nicole soon realizes that Nathan just may blow her resolutions sky high! I LOVED this book, the first in the Vegas Heat trilogy, and if the NEXT two are as well written, as totally enthralling and intriguing, hot and steamy, I will be one VERY happy camper, indeed! I loved that this book was a little on the darker side, sensitively dealing with a subject that will, at times, turn your stomach and make you wish you could strip and pour honey all over two particular characters and leave them out in the Nevada dessert, tied-up, staked spread eagle, awaiting their well-deserved fate!! Thank you Ms Wilde...I can't WAIT for book 2!
