About the Author

Award-winning, best-selling novelist Stephanie Grace Whitson began playing with imaginary friends (i.e., writing fiction) when an abandoned pioneer cemetery near the Whitson's country home provided both a hands-on history lesson for her four home schooled children and a topic of personal study. When not writing or researching, Stephanie enjoys reading, quilting, spoiling her grandchildren and/or Kona Kai (the golden retriever), riding her motorcycle named Kitty-and dreaming of Paris. Ugh! That's what I have to say. The entire book has a few questions that sit in the back of your mind and you expect them to be answered in the next page turn or the next chapter. The book then ends with absolutely nothing answered and the promise of a sequel. I'm not even sure that I want to read the sequel because I spent so much time wondering what would happen just to be left in the dark. VERY FRUSTRATING! But basic synopsis... A newly widowed mother realizes that just because her spouse has gone does not mean her life is over. She decides to take a new enjoyment in life and goes back to all the old things she put aside for her marriage. It opens closed doors and brings in mystery. There is heartache and romance and a bit of new Christianity. But then the book ends and nothing is revealed. Answers are left blank to the millions of questions formed. Bah.

A wonderful story of lost love, rekindled relationships, and new life.

This book really surpried me. I had never heard of the author before, didn't really look like me type of book, but I gave it a try. It really did grab me in the first chapter. The autho're writing style is very amazing and fluent and enjoyable to read. The settings are amazing and the characters well developed. The story moves quickly and is resolved pretty well. It leaves you with mixed emotions, but there is a sequel so don't be disappointed.

Appeals to those ladies who who started their family early and fears she may have missed her 'window of opportunity' to fulfill her own plans and dreams. Rekindled the belief in the me God created and the awaiting possibilites.
