About the Author

Hannah C. Hall estimates that she has read approximately 4,500 bedtime stories to her children over the last few years. She is thankful to get to add her own books to their daily rotation. Hannah and her husband, Josh, have five children and live in a small town in Arkansas.

Steve Whitlow lives in northern England, on the top of a (very) windswept hill, with his wife and young family. Steve followed his artistic calling from an early age and was first published at age 16, producing vibrant characters for greeting cards and then children's publishing. With no formal art training and only his natural talent, Steve has now been working as a professional artist for more than twenty years. “My kids are my critics,” says Steve. “The best reaction I can hope for is an exclamation of ‘Cool, Dad!’ from either Sam or Ethan—or both.”

There is nothing quite as sweet as reading a bedtime story to a child. God Bless You & Good Night by Hannah C. Hall is a whimsical touch and feel story book, perfect for toddlers. The story is brightly illustrated by Steve Whitlow with a variety of animals, each getting ready for bed. The animals go through a bedtime ritual of having a snack. taking a bath, getting on their jammies, and thanking God for their day in a way toddlers are sure to grasp and easy for them to imitate. It is a touch and feel book perfect for little fingers to explore various textures while listening to the story. They will touch a giraffe’s long neck, a fuzzy polar bear head, a starry sky, the velvety coat of kangaroo, the rough grains of sand and the leather skin of an elephant just to name a few. The book is made of sturdy and durable cardboard so toddlers can handle it without fear of pages being damaged. The book is sure to become a favorite of both children and parents, and grandparents as well. It makes a wonderful gift for a baby shower or for any toddler. This book makes a precious addition to any family’s shelves. *Harper Collins Christian Publishing provided a copy of this book. All opinions are honest and my own.

Bedtime books have always been a special favorite at our house. My husband and I have a few memorized--as I imagine many other parents do as well. The new Touch and Feel God Bless You and Good Night board book is especially sweet for young children with the rhyming prose, gorgeous illustrations and fun spots to touch on each page. Your little one can help cute animals say "good night" through God Bless You and Good Night's story with penguins, kangaroos, elephants and more. Besides listening to the cute rhyming story, your young children can get into the action and touch all the animals on the pages and feel them throughout the book. This sturdy board book is a bedtime story keeper for us. God Bless You and Good Night is a large 8 by 8 inch sturdy book with soft, silky, satiny, shiny places to touch throughout the book. The illustrations are adorable and the story is sweet, rhyming prose. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new interactive bedtime book--or a great gift for a young child. I received God Bless You and Good Night from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review.

This children's book is a wooden hardcover, full color, touch and feel story.  It is aimed at children going to bed at night and has various baby animals with their parents.   Readers can see animals eat bedtime snacks, read bedtime stories, get hugs, hear I love you, and so much more.  The best part are the pages where readers can touch and feel the scenes.  Most touch and feels are of animal fur / skin, but there are a few that are of the ground / background.  Some are soft, some are rough, some are shimmery, some are plain, etc.  Each set of two pages covers one animal with its guardian.  Since this book does not have an animal with two guardians, it is good for single parents.  While the entire book is great, my favorite part was the hedge hog hug!

A sweet book that you toddler can hold and drop and you don’t have to worry, as it is made of very sturdy cardboard. We are introduced to different animals as they get ready to retire from their day. As you read the pages to your little one can touch and feel the each of the pages with the different textures. At our home, it has quickly become a go to book, and my little one sits close and can’t wait to feel and touch each page. A great addition to our library. I received this book through BookLook Bloggers, and was not required to give a positive review.
