Grace by Chris Keniston

Welcome to Grace Book 7 in Farraday Country, a modern twist on the favorite 7 Brides for 7 Brothers theme set in cattle-ranching west Texas, with all the friends, family and fun that fans have come to expect from USA TODAY Bestselling author Chris Keniston.

When free-spirited Grace Farraday leaves Dallas and returns to her hometown for her brother's wedding, it's with the firm knowledge the visit is temporary . . . no matter what. She's had more than enough of dusty West Texas, cow dung and nosy neighbors.

Successful Wall Street businessman Chase Prescott has made a career taking risks. Now, he's willing to take the biggest risk of all for a life in Tuckers Bluff, Texas. He loves the slow pace, friendly neighbors, cattle ranches . . . and a certain lady with a strong will. Unfortunately, everything Chase has dreamed of is exactly what Grace has vowed to leave behind.

***Five Chase and Grace Sittin' in a Tree...K-I-S-S-I-N-G Stars*** Oh wow! Chris, you hit this one out of the ballpark. What a great love story and God bless that dog. He seemed more front and center in this book. Grace Farraday, the youngest child and only girl in a family of seven children, has come home for the wedding of her best friend and her brother. While she's there she plans to study for her Bar Exam and has applied at a few top notch firms. She wants NOTHING more than to see Farraday Country in her rear view mirror and move to a big city, preferably New live life to the fullest. Grace was more than I expected and I thought she was a super character. Chase, our gorgeous hero, lost his father two months ago and wants to live the dream he and his father had talked about for years. A slower paced life, a small town, friendly neighbors close by. He decides to leave New York and buys a grain and feed story in a small Texas town that the previous owner had let run down. He is such a sweetheart! Love him to pieces! I want me a Chase, Through this short journey Chase comes to realize that is isn't where you live but who you share your life with that really matters. Does he dare hope that Grace will come to see things the same way. I highly recommend this book as well as the Farraday Country Series!

YES!!! Even if you have never read a Chris Keniston book, go ahead and start with this one. It isn't exactly a standalone but you can pick up the others once you are hooked. With every Chris Keniston book I read, I say this is it; this is the best book and that holds true of her newest release, Grace. I adore all of the Faradays and all of the new and future in-laws! Ms Keniston writes exactly the kind of people that I can relate to even though their lives are distinctly different from mine. I appreciate that her characters have high standards in work and life. I love the town that CK builds with only a few words and makes us fall in love with through the people we meet there. I am amazed at how, with only a few words, she can pull me into the daily lives of this family that I have come to love. The newest couple is of course the younger sister Grace who has just finished college and is aiming to pass the bar and head to the big time, maybe even New York. The new guy in town, Chase, has left the crowded world of big business and New York to slow down and enjoy the people around him. There are so many trite ways to handle this conflict in dreams that I wasn't sure even Chris Keniston could managed to navigate the story without falling into at least one of the pitfalls. I should have more faith in her writing; she always presents a fresh twist on life and love. Their fall into love happens very quickly but two thing make it work for me, 1) they are both strong people with enough experience to recognize what they want, 2) the dog! Who can argue with a phantom, matchmaking dog? I can not believe anyone is still betting against Gray! I requested a received an advanced readers copy of Grace from the author. I hope my proofreading eye was helpful. I review all books that I love and I absolutely love Grace!

What does a matchmaking pooch, a gossiping community and a tight knit family have in common? All are just a few reasons why readers have fallen in love with Ms. Keniston and her swoonish, Farraday clan. I can't wait to solve the riddle of Gray the dog. Grace tells of new beginnings and happy endings with an open heart as the guide. Small town living with equals heartwarming, feel good stories.

One thing about this series is that you really get the characters! I understand that as much as she loved the ranch, having 6 big brothers not only made her competitive, but also made her want to run. Chase was the perfect compliment for her and exactly the way to get what she REALLY wanted. Great job, Chris

Grace- I have read 7 of these books in the "Farraday" series and have loved everyone of them. Didn't write reviews on all of them because wanted to get into the next book. Chase stole my heart because he was a male outsider and all the others were female. You will just have to read the books to know what I mean. I don't like having the plot ruined so most will be short.

Love, humor, a dog, big brothers and the card ladies all mixed together makes Grace second guess her future. And makes this book a fun, romantic read.

I finished this latest Farraday clan book and loved it. Great fun reading about new characters while intertwining continuing story lines from previous characters. Excellent story lines. Hope the next book's release date is soon.

I am enjoying this series so much that when I finish a book, I feel a bit of a let down that it's over. I loved Grace's story, and that the dog had more of a presence this time. It was fun reading how everyone knew Grace & Chase would end up together, fun reading how the dog kept them there. I loved the humour in the book, as well. It had me smiling and chuckling often, the perfect kind of book to read. I thought the series would end with the youngest sibling, but I'm thrilled to know the cousins and possibly some of the locals will continue to keep me coming back to Tucker's Bluff for more romance and fun!
