New York Times bestselling author of Forever My Girl.

Everyone knows who I am and that I could have any female fan I want. That's supposed to be the "perk" of playing left field for the Boston Renegades. But I don't want just any woman; I want her.

She should be just another face in the crowd, but I can't stop thinking about the one night we spent together-and her look of regret the morning after.

Because Saylor Blackwell is the kind of woman who haunts a man. Smart, sexy as hell, and one of the best managers in the business. She's every ballplayer's dream woman. And I'd do anything to make things right with her.

I'm done sitting on the bench when it comes to Saylor Blackwell. Time to swing for the fences.

Loved Travis but hated Saylor. He deserved better.

This is my favorite book so far from the Boys of Summer Series. Such a good story and not typical in sports romance books. I hope she writes some more in this series!

This ended up be a really enjoyably read. It started out a little slow for me, but I really got into the book. I was drawn to this book because Travis is a baseball player. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to read this one. I just loved the interaction between Travis and little Lucy. Some adorable and heart melting moments. This book hits home how much damage words can inflict not just emotionally, but in Travis' case for his baseball career. His life is spiraling out of control, but having Saylor and Lucy in it makes it a little more bearable. Saylor is struggling and juggling so much in her life and it's about to come to ahead. My heart went out to her because she can fix everything, but in turn she will lose everything. Can Travis and Saylor find their way to their rainbow after the storm?

This was a grand slam for Heidi McLaughlin…probably one of my favorites by her, and I have read just about everything she has written. The synopsis doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of the book or the characters. Grand Slam deserves a lot more than 5 stars!!!!! From the very first page, the story took off, and had my attention the entire time. I was up well into the night reading this one. Travis and Saylor are incredibly complex characters. With each chapter, more is revealed about them. The two shared an unforgettable night with one another years before, and they have tried to forget it, but they can’t. Travis is completely off-limits to Saylor. She works for the PR company that represents him, and affairs with their clients are strictly prohibited. Saylor cannot lose her job as she is a single parent. They have tried to avoid one another, but that changes when he sees her in the same bar he is in. He knows something is wrong, but of course, she doesn’t let him in. Both don’t realize that each will become the other’s savior. Travis finds himself in a position that threatens everything, his career and his personal life. Saylor is doing whatever it takes to get him out of the horrible situation. As she is trying to save him, she is also trying to save herself. Her daughter’s father has decided he wants custody of her, and Saylor can’t lose Lucy! As I mentioned earlier, with each chapter, I saw more depth to each character. Travis isn’t just a player. As he spends more time with Lucy, he melted my heart even more. He loved her as much as he loved Saylor, and he would do whatever it took to keep both of them. I love a man that loves his family!!! And, his sense of humor made him more irresistible. I came to love Saylor as much as I did Travis. She has worked incredibly hard to make a good life for her and her daughter. It hasn’t always been easy, but she has done whatever it took to give Lucy a normal life. She is certainly someone I would want in my corner if I was in trouble. And, I save the best for last, sweet Lucy. She is a precocious, sweet princess who melted my heart, just like she did to Travis. McLaughlin included a lot about the game of baseball, but she also included the sometimes dark side that athletes face….women who attempt take advantage of their wealth. She also illustrated how quickly the public can turn on celebrities. I think the saddest part was how some members of a team can turn on others if it affects them negatively. However, most importantly, this is a book that also illustrates loyalty and fighting for those you love. Outstanding read!!!! ***Read and Reviewed for Devilishly Delicious Book Reviews***

This book is #3, in The Boys Of Summer series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading series in order. Travis is already taken. It's just that the woman he wants does not know it yet. She won't let him close. The past for her, is a painful place that may come back to haunt them in the present. Saylor wants Travis. All the time. She has to work with him. Her feelings can be a dangerous thing. How do you build a future if you are chained to the past? This series is really building momentum! I found these characters to be very easy to read. The banter was good and helped build the heat. I hope to see more of this series! ***This ARC copy was given in exchange of an honest review by Netgalley and its publishers.

4.5 star! Heidi McLaughlin hits one out of the park with the newest in The Boys of Summer series! Filled with emotion, drama and even a little suspense, Grand Slam is a must read! If you've been reading the series, you'll know Travis Kidd is a player both on and off the field. He is unapologetic about his ways until one night changes everything. In that one night, something bad and something equally good happen. Heidi McLaughlin does this book right! She doesn't force the story, but instead let's it play out naturally allowing you to fall in love with the characters and root for their happy ending! Get your hands on this book! You're going to love it!

The Boston Renegades are back, but this time we get to finally hear Travis Kidd's story. The class clown and lady lover finally gets taken down by his publicist, Saylor Blackwell. Grand Slam centers around a scandal involving Travis and a jilted almost-one-night-stand. Travis and Saylor were a couple I was definitely rooting for, and I absolutely loved seeing how Travis interacted with Saylor's daughter. The ending felt a little rushed for me, but overall this is definitely a must read.

GRAND SLAM is the third installment in Heidi McLaughlin’s contemporary, adult THE BOYS OF SUMMER baseball, romance series focusing on the Boston Renegades. This is Boston Renegades’ left fielder Travis Kidd, and PR agent Saylor Blackwell’s story line. GRAND SLAM can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous installments is revealed where necessary. Told from dual first person points of view (Travis and Saylor) follows the second chance romance between Boston Renegades’ left fielder Travis Kidd, and PR agent Saylor Blackwell. Without giving away too much information GRAND SLAM focuses on the off-season as Travis must traverse a minefield of legal drama, slanderous accusations, and the less than stellar support of the fans and some of his teammates. Enter PR Agent Saylor Blackwell, the only woman able to clear Travis’s name, and the woman that calls to our hero’s heart. What ensues is a stress filled legal battle to save Travis Kidd, as he struggles to convince the woman he loves that he is innocent of all of the charges. GRAND SLAM is a story of betrayal, defamation and retribution but it is also a story about one woman’s struggle to do what is right for a man she doesn’t believe is as innocent as he claims. As Travis battles the media, the fans and the legal system, Saylor battles for her heart and that of her young daughter. The relationship between Travis and Saylor is one of second chances. Two years earlier, following a one-night stand, Saylor walked out of Travis’s life without explanation, and in the ensuing time has acted cold and deceptive when ever in his presence. Their rekindling relationship and romance is complicated when Saylor’s young daughter begins to fall in love with the man in question. The $ex scenes are limited but seductive. There are a large number of secondary and supporting characters including several members of the Boston Renegades: Ethan and Daisy (Third Base #1), Cooper and Ainsley (Home Run #2), as well as attorneys, agents, top office brass, family, friends and fans who may or may not support their fallen hero. The world building focuses on the relationship between Saylor and Travis, as well as the legal problems of our leading hero. Not everyone is willing to offer Travis their support including some of the members of his very own team. I struggled with our heroine’s less than cooperative behavior throughout the story. Fearing repercussion in her own life, Saylor’s questionable attitude was awkward, heartbreaking and tragic. The potential fall-out for Travis Kidd meant a life darkened by secrets, betrayal and lies. GRAND SLAM is a gripping and passionate story line. The premise is edgy; the characters are colorful and dynamic but our heroine’s lack of action was discouraging and disappointing under the circumstances; the romance was sexy but challenging. GRAND SLAM will captivate your imagination and break your heart.

I felt like I waited forever for Kidd's story...and Heidi didn't make me regret my wait. Kidd stole our hearts from the beginning with his witty one liners and comebacks. He had a personality you just had to fall in love with. But now that Travis faced one of the biggest challenges of his life? Wasn't able to grab on to what he really wanted? Now, that's what made this story what it really was, and that was GREAT! Saylor was such a fabulous counterpart to Kidd. They just fit. They just belonged. Whether they wanted to see it that way or not. Whether they were ALLOWED to be that way or not. Sometimes life gives you lemons...don't make lemonade, make something even sweeter! Great job here, Heidi!

Travis Kidd!! I have been waiting for his story and Heidi did not disappoint! Travis continues to be the king of one liners but man do we see such a different side to him in Grand Slam, I didn't think it was possible to love a character as much as I LOVE TRAVIS!! He knows what he wants and no matter what is thrown at him Travis is determined to prove he is worth the risk. Full count, bases loaded and Travis swinging for the fences!

Baseball player Travis Kidd thoroughly enjoys what he does, and the perks that come along with it... maybe a little too much! Being an athlete he draws a lot of attention from fans, it comes with the territory of course, and so he has come to expect that his every move is being monitored, even when there moves that could shine a bad light on him! It's a good thing he has a good publicist to cover up the stuff he doesn't want the public to get a hold of, but this time someone is out to get the star player, and no amount of cover up is going to keep him out of trouble. Now everything in his life is stuck in limbo, and the one person who can save him is the one woman who wants nothing to do with him! To say that Saylor Blackwell's life is a little complicated is an complete understatement, everything in it hinges on one simple mistake she made a few years ago, so she feels like she is constantly walking on eggshells, waiting for them to break at any second. The one bright spot in her life is her daughter, and while being a single mother is tough, she wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, being a mother is the one thing she has done right. So, when she finds herself in the wrong place, at the wrong time, and witnesses something she wished she hadn't, she can't help but panic a little that it is going to be the one thing that finally cracks those egg shells. Seeing her ex Travis again was excruciating, mainly because she has never really gotten over him, and now he is standing before her asking for another chance... a chance she isn't so willing to give him! The moment my eyes landed on the page and I met these two I was completely absorbed into their little world, and immediately taken with their touching story. They both had so much to lose, and to watch them find their way out of the little mess they wound up in was quite inspiring... and a little hot at times too!! The story line was inventive, intense, passionate, thought-provoking, heartbreaking, and filled with many moments that had my toes curling... I just can't say enough about how much I loved this one!! If you like second chance romances, loaded with the feels and steamy sexy times than I highly recommend you give this one a try, you will not be disappointed!! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

Grand Slam is the third book in the Boys of Summer series which is now one of my favorite series. All can be read as a standalone but it's nice to see these characters and couples appear throughout. Travis Kidd has always been the funny guy and I'd been craving for his story and it sure delivered! I didn't expect for him to have a heavy subject matter but Heidi sure threw a curveball at me and it was brilliant of her. We get to see a whole new side of Travis and see him mature fast into the leading man who deserves it all but also keep that mouth of his we all love. I really hope there's more books to come in this series, I have to say this one is my favorite!
