Grave Trouble in Athelstane
Athelstane, Wisconsin, a tiny town insulated from the 21st century by the dense northern woods, is populated by endearing, Mayberryesque citizens. While attending a local funeral, Ernestine (Ernie) Barton, a recently transplanted retiree, is shaken when the widow drops dead into the open grave containing the casket of her newly departed husband. The other mourners and the inept town sheriff see nothing unusual in the woman's death other than poor timing. Ernie becomes convinced the widow was murdered but she's the only one who thinks so. Along the way she discovers jealousy and blackmail. She also finds friends and a town she grows to love and care about.

About the Author

Deborah Holly is the pen name of two sisters who long ago learned that they share one brain. We chose the Wisconsin Northwoods as a setting because we love it and have spent many happy vacations there since childhood. We both live in Madison, Wisconsin but still visit the Northwoods often.
