I love this story of a community coming together to grow something beautiful. As the city continues to develop, with buildings and pavement everywhere, the community loses the green open space they used to have. After the little patch of land that's left falls into disrepair, the community bands together to revive it. It reads as a beautiful poem, and the illustrations are colorful and engaging. Young readers will be inspired to get outside and grow their own garden.

This book is adorable but also carries a powerful message. I love how this book inspires community and fosters a love for nurturing natural surroundings, no matter where you live. I also love the illustrations in this book. You can sit with a child and spend endless time on each page just noticing and talking about all the wonderful details on each page that provides an open discussion about the environment, community, and taking care of our Earth. Highly recommend!
