Usually, when people tell me a book was so good they couldn't put it down I just roll my eyes and think 'Yeah, whatever. Since when has there been a book like that?' Now I know: Since Grip of the Shadow Plague. I got really annoyed when I was told that I had to put the book away and do something else for awhile. I haven't felt like this about a book since Jacques's masterpiece, High Rhulain! If you can't get enough of suspense and fantasy you will LOVE this book!

Once again Mull has created another good story. I actually liked this one better than the last. It was easier to get involved with the story and characters and feel like you were right there with them. This book keep you engrossed and there were very few 'down times'. Would highly recommend this series and this book to young or old. It's just fun.

Fablehaven is by far the most entertaining kids' series I have read since Harry Potter. Each book is as enjoyable as the last, and the story just keeps getting better. I find that the more I read about Fablehaven, the more I want to know about the place...Overall, Fablehaven is an excellent read that will leave you eager for more! This series is great for both adults and children! If you enjoyed Fablehaven, you might also like the "Percy Jackson" series by Rick Riordan.

This book is thrilling and fun. I recommend this book to anyone who likes the Potter series and fiction. I could not put this book down because it was so good. (In fact I don't think I put the book down at all) It has suspense, magic, fairies, and a plague! Trust me you need to read this book... trust me just read it!

This is a great series and book. Book 3 is the best between books 1-3 and is very detailed. I like this book because it is mischevious and keeps you on the edge of your seat through out the whole book. All in all this is the best book ever!!!!

Fablehaven has always been somewhat of a safe resort for all sorts of magical creatures ¿ nipsies, golems, fairies, nymphs, centaurs, you name it. However, when a shadow plague hits and all the dark creatures start to infect others with darkness, the Sorensons must find out the source behind this sudden outbreak before all the creatures become evil. As if worrying about the fate of Fablehaven wasn't enough, Kendra Sorenson has also been recruited by the Knights of Dawn to embark on a dangerous mission that involves a mysterious artifact.Wonder, magic, suspense, adventure, action ¿ elements of a promising book -are all present in pretty much every page. Brandon Mull gives magic to his characters with his sparkling descriptions and diction. Whether dark or light, the creatures were delightful all the same, adding fun here and there. The characters' interactions with each other were strong yet believable; the chemistry between some of the characters were touching (I don't want to spoil the story, so I'll leave it at that). This definitely isn't just another good versus evil fantasy.

This is the 3rd book in the Fablehaven series and one that nicely puts together all the pieces of the various characters. The story, for anyone who has not read the prior two books is set on a magical preserve owned by the main characters grandparents. On this preserve dwell magical creatures of all tyoes. In this particular book we finally move away from th preserve as a character itself and expand to other places in race for a magical item that will either save or doom Fablehaven.I found this book to be the most entertaining of the series and recommend it to anyone looking for a rich magical escape.

Enjoyed the continued adventures of Kendra and Seth.

Following with the tempo of the other two installments, the third book was filled with an adventurous foolhardiness, some wretchedly terrifying creatures, and even some heartening moments. I simply can't love this series enough with its fabulous characterizations and engaging plot lines.

Who wouldn't want to live in a secret refuge for 'mythical' beasts? I LOVE this series!

I quite enjoyed the storyline in this novel - there was a lot going on, the adventures were exciting, and Kendra keeps learning new things about herself. The reader also gets to see a lot more of the magical creatures that live in Fablehaven, which is interesting.

I very much enjoyed the third book of the Fablehaven series. It was mysterious, compelling, action packed, and just sucked me right in. Although it did start out alot slower than I thought it would have but the rest of the book definitely made up for that. But over all I did enjoy very much and look forward to the next one.
