The contrast between the cover and content of this book was disappointing: While the cover claims that this book is about "gun education and safety" and gives a nod to the need to handle firearms responsibly, the content of the book fails to mention basic gun safety concepts that are typically part of every book about firearms for children (e.g., "guns are not toys" or "only use guns with adult supervision" or "let a grown up know if you find an unsecured firearm"). Instead, it is essentially a catalogue of cool facts about guns that seem highly likely to stimulate further curiosity yet fail to direct that curiosity in a safe direction.
