Danielle Lang planted her elbows on the café table and pressed her forehead into her palms. "How could I have gotten myself into such a mess?"

"Because you need the money," her best friend Violet supplied as she sipped a mocha latte and eyed the cute guy making his way to the barista. "There are worse ways to pay the bills, you know, and if you ask me this is a pretty sweet gig."

"Sweet gig?" Danielle dropped her hands, the loud bang on the table gaining the attention of the women sitting two rows over. She leaned forward to avoid unwanted listeners and lowered her voice. "Violet, this is serious."

Violet's gaze jerked back to Danielle's, her dark hair falling over her shoulders. "I know it is, but come on." She gave an easy shrug. "You're a psychologist, fresh out of graduate school. Really, how hard can it be to teach sex therapy to a bunch of incoming freshmen?"

"That's what she said."

Violet grinned over her cup, and Danielle laughed, despite the misery weighing her down. She loved her friend, she really did, but Violet didn't understand the severity of the situation. When it came to sex, Violet would graduate cum laude, and Danielle, well, she could be found at the bottom of the class.

With one elbow planted on the table, Violet flipped her palm face up. "Look, you get in, offer some by-the-book therapy, and get out. Then you get a nice, fat paycheck for your time so you can pay down your debt and open your own family counseling practice like you want to. I'm not really seeing the problem here."

Danielle sank back in her chair and twisted a long strand of hair around her finger, a common habit when she was nervous. "I know that's the plan, and I have book knowledge on sex therapy, but how can I honestly teach anyone about the emotions behind sex, the hang-ups, the fetishes when I don't understand them myself?"

Violet wagged dark brows over deep green eyes. "Ooh, fetishes. My favorite subject."

Danielle crinkled her nose and pushed up her glasses. "I just don't get it. Some of the fetishes I've read about seem strange, maybe even a bit deviant."

"That's because you haven't tried anything."

"You're absolutely right." Decision made, she flattened her hands on the table. "Which is why I need to back out of this job before I get kicked out. There is no way I can teach a group of students about intimacy and the need for desirability in humans if I've never had any hands-on experience." Violet stared at her from across the tiny table, obviously still not seeing the problem. Danielle sighed and tried again. "Remember that dysfunctional family I lived with? The religious ones I told you about?"

Violet sipped her drink. "Yeah."

"Well, they went to their priest for marriage counseling. I kept thinking, what does a priest know about marriage, and how can he possibly give advice if he's never been married?"

"That's it!" The cup her friend was holding came down so hard it clattered on the saucer and splattered coffee over the rim.

Danielle's head jerked back with a start. "What's it?"

"You'll just have to get the hands-on experience you need." Violet sat up straighter in her seat, her eyes narrowing shrewdly, her finger tapping the tabletop as she looked at the patrons in the café.

Shit. Danielle knew that look. Violet was on a mission, and once she went into fix-it mode, there was no stopping her. She leaned forward and rapped her knuckles on the table to get her attention. "If you're suggesting what I think you're suggesting, forget it."

"It's the perfect solution. Two weeks of hands-on training to give you the experience you need before the summer semester starts." She pointed to the guy she'd been admiring earlier. "What about him?"

Oh, hell no!

Danielle grabbed her friend's hand and pushed it down. "I am not going to walk up to some random guy and ask him to have sex with me," she whispered between clenched teeth.

"Okay, then, how about a not-so-random guy?"

She groaned. "Stop. Just ... stop, okay? This isn't going to happen."

"Of course it is. It's just a matter of with whom."

The bell over the café door jingled. To keep from reaching across the table and choking her dear friend, Danielle picked up her drink, took a sip, and glanced toward the door. Ohmigod. Was that Jack Rider?

Jack — badass — Rider.

Her blood flowed thick and heavy as the hottest guy from her high school stepped through the portal. Like a dim-witted moth drawn to a lightbulb, she let her gaze rake over him as he strolled inside the café. She'd had a thing for him back in the day, but the star quarterback had been way out of her league in high school, and from the looks of him now, that much hadn't changed.

She'd heard about the ligament injuries that had sidelined him recently, but outside of catching a game or two on TV, and that one Christmas she'd briefly spotted him buying cold medicine at the nearby drugstore, she hadn't seen him in person since he left Florida and went to college on a football scholarship.

She gave him a once over. Twice. He was hotter than ever, which was really saying something. Despite his bum leg, he moved with surprising grace for a guy of his size, and while she tried not to stare, for the life of her she couldn't seem to tear her gaze away. She swallowed against a suddenly dry throat and took another gulp of her drink, her body warming in the way it always had when he was in the vicinity. In all her years, no guy had ever affected her the way he did.

"Is that —" Violet began, and then stopped, her head bobbing back and forth between Danielle and Jack when Jack flashed a smile their way. "Ohmigod."

"Ohmigod what?" Danielle asked, trying not to sound as breathless as she felt.

"That is Jack Rider from the Seattle Kings, and you're hot for him."

"No ... yes ... I mean ..."

"Well, holy shit. My little asexual friend is finally all worked up." She waved her finger up and down. "Look at you, all flushed and out of breath." Violet's gaze dropped to Danielle's chest. "And I just bet your nipples are hard."

Danielle set her cup down and crossed her arms over her T-shirt, hoping to hide her arousal. "I am not asexual. I've just been busy. And I'm not all worked up." With a quick nod, she gestured to the fans overhead. "It's just the air conditioner."

Violet leaned in, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Ask him."

"Ask him what?"

"To teach you all about sex." She gave Danielle a look that suggested she was dense. "Isn't that what we've been talking about?"

"It's what you've been talking about, and you're out of your mind." She pitched her voice low. "That's Jack Rider. The Jack Rider."

"I don't care if he's Zac-frigging-Efron. He's a well-known player, and just the guy to help you" — she waggled her brows — "bone up on sex. Give you the hands-on experience you're looking for." Violet turned and blatantly stared at Jack. "Jesus, look at those hands. You know what they say, the bigger the hands, the bigger the —"

Danielle held her palms up to cut her friend off. "I know. I know. And there's no proof of that."

Violet did that weird head-bobbing thing she always did when she was really getting into a plan. "Wanna bet?"

"Then find out yourself. I dare you."

Ooh, how tempting.

"Violet," she warned. Cripes, her friend had to be out of her mind. She wasn't about to ask Jack to have sex with her. She wasn't about to ask anyone, for that matter. She'd spent her whole life doing for herself, and asking anyone for anything was just a set up for disappointment. So she wasn't about to start now and go down a path that led to regret.

"Look, you said you didn't want to ask a random stranger to get you up to speed on the nasty, and he's not. You already know each other. You went to high school together. Plus, he smiled at you, Danielle."

"He was probably just trying to clean something from his teeth. No way would he remember me. I was a freshman. He was a senior. We didn't even travel in the same circles." Although, there were those few times he offered to drive her home when it was raining, and the afternoon he helped her pick her books up when some stupid jock friend of his knocked them out of her hands and took off laughing. Rumor had it Jack punched the guy in the face later that day — but then, a lot of rumors went around her school.

Violet pursed her lips. "Looks to me like he remembers you."

"Doesn't matter. Go for it anyway. Invite him home ..." Her words fell off as she extended her arms forward and with quick thrusts, jerked them back and forth. "And break in that vag-vag."

"Jesus." Danielle lowered her head and muttered, "I am so not about to do that. And besides, who says he'd go home with me? I read the paper. I've seen the hot women he's been with."

"Which means he has what it takes to give you the experience you need." Violet snapped her fingers. "Right clothes, right shoes, right bra. You'll be a walking wet dream in no time at all. Not that you're not now, but we just need to put a couple of things out there."

Those "couple of things" had better not be what I think they are.

Violet grabbed her own breasts and jiggled them.

Well, hell.

"These look good, right?"

Her glance wasn't the only one to fall to Violet's creamy white cleavage as she squeezed her breasts. "They look amazing."

"Victoria's Secret Bombshell bra. It adds two sizes." She dropped her hands. "It's all about the illusion. Just say the word, and I'll take you shopping."

Danielle chuckled. "When it comes off, do the guys feel cheated? Is it a deal breaker?"

Violet cupped one palm. "By then I usually have a fist full of balls, so I'm pretty sure no one would dare complain."

Danielle laughed out loud. "You are so bad."

"No fun in being good."

"Speaking of feeling cheated." She leaned in and lowered her voice. "If I asked a guy for sex, which I'm not about to, don't you think he'd be disappointed, me being an inexperienced virgin and all? I mean, how could I possibly make it good for him?"

Violet blinked, did that weird head-bobbing thing again, then blinked some more. "Girlfriend, you have so much to learn. Guys dig that. Believe me, as soon as he realizes you're chaste ..." She paused to snap her fingers. "He's going to be all over you like gravy on a biscuit."

Danielle's gaze moved to Jack and a fine shiver scuttled through her. Sound calm, Danielle, sound calm. "You think?" He voice came out a little higher than normal. Dammit. Way to give myself away.

Violet grinned. "I know." She checked her phone then shoved it into her purse. "Well, I have to get back." She linked her fingers together and cracked them. "I have a one o'clock hottie in need of a little Violet therapy."

Danielle shook her head. "Maybe you should be the one teaching sex therapy."

Violet hooked her purse over her shoulder. "Come on. You're the strongest girl I know, and you've never let anything keep you from getting what you want. So, go out there and do what you need to do." She tipped her head thoughtfully. "Maybe it would be easier if you thought of it as research. We all know how much you love your research. And, of course, if you did something for him in return ..."

Danielle climbed to her feet and grabbed her purse. She had no intention of going through with Violet's crazy plan, but had to admit that her friend had a point. Second to a warm plate of brownies, research was her happiest place. Choosing the project, seeking out the best resources, and then basking in the satisfaction of knowledge gained ... yeah, she got off on that kind of thing. Would sex be as fulfilling? Would she ... get off?

Jesus, what am I doing?

She shook her head to clear it and followed Violet to the door. As she exited, she could almost swear she felt Jack's eyes on her. She stole a quick glance over her shoulder, and when her gaze collided with his, her knees nearly went out from underneath her. Those eyes. Rich, dark ... a luxurious raw chocolate she could so easily lose herself in. Saliva pooled on her tongue. She spun back around quickly and hurried out the door. Why would he be staring at her like that?

He must think I'm someone else.

She gave Violet a quick hug good-bye and started toward her apartment. The warm sunshine beat down on her as she walked, and when she heard the bell over the café door jingle, she hurried her steps, not daring to look back. If she found Jack watching her again, she just might consider following through with Violet's ludicrous plan.

A few quick steps took her to the corner, and to the familiar For Sale sign outside a quaint downtown house. She stopped and stared at it for a moment, like she always did when passing, visualizing the place as her new home and office. It was the perfect location to set up a practice.

If only I had the money.

Danielle kicked her feet out and hurried to her apartment. She stopped to check the mail, and her stomach twisted when she saw the pink paper inside the window of her power bill. She ripped into it and scanned the notice. Overdue.

Shit. Shit. Shit.I don't have a choice. I have to make this job work.

Well, damned if Violet's plan didn't seem so foolish now. Insane? Maybe. Stupid? Not so much.

Ask him.

She'd worked so hard, done without so much to get her education, and now, with the bills piling up and her money reserves shrinking, it could all be for nothing.

Her forehead fell against the aged wood of her door as despair closed in around her. Tears burned the back of her eyelids, and for a brief moment, she wallowed in the misery that was her life. No money. No business. No family. No man. Thank God Violet couldn't see her now.

With a tired laugh, Danielle pushed off the door and dug through her purse for her key. Yeah, all her friend needed was to see her now, at her lowest, to drive home the asinine idea she'd come up with.

"Sex therapist, indeed," she muttered, stepping into her apartment and closing the door behind her. But, oh, the money would be so good.

She tossed the idea around then shook her head. Am I really considering this? Then again, was having her power shut off better than marching over to Jack's place and begging for love lessons?

She wouldn't do it.

Couldn't do it.

At least, she didn't think so.

But if she did, Jack Rider would be a prime candidate for the cause, and if she offered him something in return ...

Flat out on his back under an old pickup truck in his father's auto repair shop, listening to music blaring from his dad's vintage radio, Jack planted his feet on the grease-stained concrete floor and boosted his hips, adjusting the dolly beneath his back. He took care not to put pressure on his fucked up knee as he reached for an impact driver to tighten the screws, but despite his prudence, the movement twisted his leg, and pain shot straight down his calf muscle. He dropped the tool, grabbing the cramping leg. The driver landed with a loud clang as he breathed through the agony.

Fuck ...

At least if the team didn't renew his contract, he could fall back on his auto mechanic skills. In the bay, he was his own boss and didn't have to put up with the shit that went on behind the scenes at the stadium. He clenched his teeth, a vein in his forehead throbbing as his mind rewound to last month's bullshit.

One minute he was the star quarterback. The next he was nothing but a shell of his former self, climbing onto an airplane to recover at home from knee surgery that could very well end his career. If he couldn't stand on the starting line, he was no more useful than yesterday's newspaper. Behind the scenes it was all business, and it was a raw fucking deal if you asked him.

He grabbed a rag and wiped his face, and was just about to shove it back into his pocket when the sound of heels clicking on the cold concrete floor reached his ears. They stopped where his scuffed up boots stuck out from the rear of the car, and he angled his head to get a better look. Those heels led to slender ankles then up to bare, smooth legs with just enough calf muscle to make him think they'd hold a man's hips down hard until she was finished with him.

Damn. I really need to get laid.

His cock jumped, and he shifted again, eager to see exactly who those legs belonged to, and if he could coax her into his bed. Overeager, he jackknifed up, the loud thud of his head hitting the new muffler echoing though the garage.

"Hands On" by Cathryn Fox is the first installment in a three-part series. I normally don't read serial books but gave this one a try. I have to admit the author got my attention and kept it. I just wish it had all three parts together. This is part one of Danielle Lang and Jack Rider's story. If you want a hot and steamy read, then you will want to take a chance on this serial. Even though this was a extremely hot read there was story too. The reader gets to feel the emotions of the characters. Be warned this story includes graphic mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Reviewed on behalf of “2 Girls Who Love Books” blog. Hands on is book 1 in a 3-part short story series. Since it is a short story, the author gets right down to it and brings our feature characters together quickly. I don’t normally like a story without the drawn out romance and tension the develops when you are building a relationship, but it turns out that Cathryn Fox knows how to do both. Hands On is a very quick read with steamy ‘almost’ sex, some education in self-love, amazing phone conversation and a jaw dropping ending that will have you one-clicking on book 2 in an instant. I really fell in love with Jack Rider when his POV is brought out and we find out he has some ‘keeper’ qualities and has been silently pining away for our heroine Danielle for years. Even hunky jocks can have self-esteem issues and don’t put themselves out there to get hurt. Women sometimes forget that and steer clear of them believing that they are “too much for us to handle” or “they are not interested” when in fact they are just as nervous about relationships as the rest of us. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Jack Rider has a conscience and reins himself in to help Danielle with her sexual exploration research and ensures she has the best ‘first time’ possible, even though it makes his pants quite tight and uncomfortable. Danielle’s well meaning but misguided best friend Violet is a treat. She has some interesting but oh so wrong advice, but Jack clears all that up when he insists on finding out why he is receiving mixed signals from Danielle. Although, her advice to hook-up with Jack may not have been so bad after all! Some girls need that little push in the right direction and most of us could use a friend like Violet to speed things up. If you are looking for a quick read with likable characters and real-life problems that will lead into 2 more quick reads full of descriptive, well written erotic scenes, I recommend Hands On. This book is all about S-E-X and the pleasure it an bring so be forewarned, the cover says it all. It’ll have you squirming in your seat and clenching your thighs all of the way through.

Hands On by Cathryn Fox is the first in a three-part series also named Hands On that is full of steamy sexy times and awkward yet adorable moments. Danielle needs this job. It starts in two weeks and if she is ever to get her career kick-started and her bills paid she needs this job. The job? Teaching a sexual behavior class. Her career? Therapist. The problem? She has zero experience when it comes to sex. Enter (not yet literally) Jake Rider. Injured pro football player that graduated a couple years ahead of her at the same high school. Is she brazen enough to ask him for help? Yes, but barely. Will he, you know, help her get up to speed on "the sex" and all having "the sex" entails? Why yes, yes he will, he'd be a fool to say no, right? Funny, cute, steamy and promising so much more in the next two installments this was a fun, quick read filled with promise and characters you can't help but like.

http://www.cocktailsandbooks.com I was given an advanced copy of this book to write an honest review for Netgalley and Cocktails and Books. I enjoyed this entertaining and sexy story. This is the first book in a three part series and it is very short and it ends with a cliffhanger. I have to be honest, I usually stay away from books like this because I don't like to wait to find out what happens next. However I thought the book sounded interesting and I wasn't disappointed, I liked the story and the characters. Danielle Long is a psychologist just out of grad school and she agrees to teach a college sex therapy class. The only problem is, Danielle is a virgin and she questions how she can teach the class when she doesn't have any first hand knowledge. So, she decides to ask Jack Rider for his help. Jack is an NFL quarterback and is home recuperating from knee surgery. He hasn't seen Danielle since high school and he can't believe his luck when she asks for his help. I liked Jack and Danielle and they have a lot of chemistry. Jack is a nice guy and he genuinely likes Danielle and wants to do the right thing and not take advantage of her. Danielle is a nerd who studied hard to achieve her degree and had little time to date and doesn't realize how attractive she is. I enjoyed this steamy story and can not wait to find out what happens next.

A recent graduate, Danielle, a psychologist has to teach a summer course on sex therapy. The only problem is, she's a virgin and has no experience. Her BFF talks her into asking an old high school acquaintance and hunky, NFL football player, Jack to teach her what she needs to know before her classes start. This is super short and only part 1 of 3 books to come. If you go in with the mindset that this is a bit unrealistic, mainly due to Danielle's behavior, then this was a good start to a story. Danielle was too much the blushing virgin but despite that, I did enjoy the first part to this series. You learn that Jack has always had a thing for Danielle which makes this story more enjoyable and realistic on his part. I will definately continue with Part 2. ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Cute setup for this super sexy first part of a 3 part serial! Danielle is a newly minted psychologist with a small problem - she's got to teach a sex therapy class in a few weeks, and she's a virgin! Her friend's solution is to have Danielle find a man to show her the ropes (pun intended) of hot and dirty times for two weeks. And it just so happens that her old high school crush Jack, a football player retired with an injury, is back in town (and used to have a crush on her too...) I really liked the way the story progressed, with Danielle approaching Jack and him being smart enough to ask questions about why she wants to sleep with him (and not just giving in to the little head's advice). What results then is the start of a friendship with benefits where Jack is determined to go slow with Danielle and not just 'do the deed' - starting with some super steamy phone sex. There is no cliffhanger ending, it just ends with Jack's promises to Danielle that there is more to come (again, pun intended). I liked both the characters, Jack being a nice, friendly and confident man and Danielle the somewhat shy virgin willing to get out of her comfort zone. Looking forward to part 2!

I’ve read several of Cathryn Fox’s books and I tend to like what I read from her. There’s no question she knows how to write hot smexy times. And for the length of this first book, she comes through. Danielle Lang is a 25-year-old bookworm. She has been her entire life. Fresh out of grad school with a degree in Psychology, she has an opportunity to make some good money, get ahead of her bills, and save for her dream house and career. The job? Thought you would never ask. It’s teaching a sex therapy class to freshmen. First problem, while she can read everything she needs to know about the subject, she kind of wants to have some first hand experience. Second problem, when I say experience, Danielle has none whatsoever. Her solution is to find a guy and just get the deed done. In walks 29-year-old professional football player, Jack Rider. Jack happens to have gone to the same high school as Danielle. And she might have had a thing for him. Jack has a well-deserved reputation with the ladies and once Danielle asks him to be her teacher, he readily agrees, until he finds out how inexperienced she truly is. I’ll admit that I’m a visual person and seeing the cover for Hands On is what grabbed my attention. Then, the blurb had me. Unfortunately, the blurb is in first person and this installment of the serial is in third person. Definitely disappointing. Since Hands On is the first part of a three part serial, it does end in a cliffhanger. While I’m not a fan of cliffhangers, I can say the first part ended at the right point. When Jack and Danielle are together, he does like to push her out of her comfort zone. It will be very interesting to see how this serial plays out. **Received a copy from Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest unbiased opinion.**

Hands On is the first in a three part series by Cathryn Fox. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by NetGalley, Entangled Scorched, and by the author. This is my second book by this author and I can honestly say that I am in love with her books. They are sexy and steamy and the characters are so easy to love. Danielle Lang just finished her psychology degree and is looking forward to a future in family counseling. But at the moment, she is looking at a mountain of debt. She has been offered the opportunity to teach a summer course in sex therapy and the paychecks will definitely help to put a dent in her bills. But there is one problem. She doesn’t have any experience to use for the class. None…at…all! Is it just coincidence that while having coffee with her best friend the object of her high school fantasies who is now a famous football player happens to walk into the coffee shop? Jack Rider loves playing football. But due to an injury, he is off the field for the time being. To pass the time, he has gone home and is helping out with his Dad’s auto shop. It’s something he enjoys and gets his mind off his pain. He can’t believe it when he sees Danielle in the coffee shop. She certainly has grown up. He always had a thing for her. Yes, he has had plenty of women but something about her always stayed with him. She’s all prim and proper. So no one is more shocked than he is when she walks into his garage and propositions him for sex. Danielle’s best friend has convinced her that Jack is the perfect person to teach her about sex. She has two weeks until the class begins so Jack would have two weeks to teach her everything she needs to know. If he says yes. When Jack goes over to Danielle’s house, it doesn’t take him long to figure out that something is amiss here. He finally gets the truth out of her. So he changes his tactics. Yes, he will teach her, but at a slower pace. She can’t even look him in the eye and talk about sex yet. In these short pages, I fell in love with these two. Danielle is so awkward and endearing. And Jack, sigh. I love that he is doing this his own way and Danielle’s first sensual experience is a doozy. I can’t look at my cell phone without thinking about it. I’ve said before that I just love these student/teacher scenarios. I can’t wait to see what happens next with the second installment due out in August, Body Contact.

Hands On is part one of three in the Hands On serial series. I both love and hate serial series, I love them because of the anticipation of a new book coming. I hate them because of the exact same reason. We obviously live in a world of instant gratification, hense e-books and the ability to one-click to get said e-books into our hot little hands. In Hands On, Danielle Lang is a psychologist who is going to be teacing a sex education class in just a couple of short weeks. She needs the money to pay bills and to make her way into getting her own practice. Problem is, she has absolutely no life experience to draw on. Her friend recommends she find someone to break her of that. Enter high school crush, and pro-quarterback Jack "Bad A**" Rider. After much consideration, she decides he's the one to teach her what she needs to know. But when he finds out she's a virgin...well, you'll have to read it and find out! I really enjoyed this read from Cathryn, and I'm going to go crazy waiting for the next book to come out. Damn you serials! Arc Provided Free of Charge in exchange for an honest review

Wow! This was the first installment of a three part series and boy was this a sizzling, hot read. I loved every word and couldn't put this down to do anything, and at the end all I could think is No it can't end here. I was totally hooked. This sizzling sport/second chance romance had me fanning myself and swooning for the badass, sexy, dirty talking, injured NFL quarterback that is Jack Rider. Danielle Lang is a Psychologist who just recently finished Grad school and has been hired to teach Sex Therapy to a class of incoming freshman in two weeks. Needing to start earning money due to all her student loans, she is feeling overwhelmed thinking about taking on this task without any prior sexual experience and only her book knowledge. When she sees Jack Rider at a bar, her friend Violet, encourages her to see if maybe Jack can help her with her inexperience. But when Jack finds out what Danielle is really asking of him, will he be what she needs? You will have to read to find out. Cathryn Fox never disappoints. She knows how to infuse a story with romance, heat, and lovable characters, and that is just what you will find when you get this story. Loved it and anxiously awaiting the next installment. This is part one of a three part story about Danielle Lang and Jack Rider. When Danielle needs schooling about sex in order to teach a class she asks Jack to be her willing teacher for two weeks. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the rest of Danielle and Jack's story. I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

'Hands On' by Cathryn Fox is book one in this continue series called" Hands On" series. This is the story of Danielle Lang and Jake Rider. This is a short story introduction to the characters with about 67 pages. There will be two more books or so after this one to continue their story. I found that I really did like this book. It was funny and at the same time sexy. Danielle is starting a sex therapy class to help earn some money to pay her bills. Sounds okay right? Well maybe if you weren't a virgin. Danielle friend talks her into asking Jake to help her with her 'problem'. Jack is in town after having a injury that has put him on the sidelines until he gets clearance to go back to the game. I can't wait for the next installment!! I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.

Cathryn Fox is one of my favorite authors and she never fails to enthrall with her erotic stories. Hands On is the first installment of a three-part serial, and it is sexy, hot and seductive. Danielle Lang is both a psychologist and a teacher. Because she is quite a bit behind in her bills, she agrees to teach a highly paid sex therapy class. Unfortunately, her sexual experience is beyond limited and she needs some tutoring. That is where professional football player Jack Rider comes in. Jack and Danielle have known each other since high school, where Jack was popular and Danielle was a bookworm. Due to Jack's womanizing reputation, Danielle is certain that he could be the answer to her problem. Not only does Jack agree to help her, he decides to make their time together memorable in every way. I am not a fan of serials, but this one is terrific so far. Both main characters are likable, fun and goodhearted. I am truly looking forward to reading the next installment in August. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

Very promising start for the story Hands On is the first in a three-part serial by Cathryn Fox. As I’ve read and enjoyed her work before, even though I’m not usually into serials I took a chance. Besides, have you looked at the cover? The promise of some hot sexy times didn’t hurt either. Danielle is a fresh-out-of-the-oven psychologist about to start a teaching job in a sex therapy class for freshmen. In theory, this is a good thing as she needs to pay her bills, but the truth is that she lacks all the practical knowledge on the subject. Feeling underprepared because of this and at the insistence of her best friend, she propositions her high school crush: two weeks together for her to learn all there is to know about sex, in exchange he gets, well, two weeks of hot sex… hopefully. Jack can’t believe his eyes when his teenage fantasy girl shows up in his shop and asks him out, even less when he learns what she really wants from him. He is recovering from a career-threatening injury and has nothing better to do with his time until he can get back to football than teach sweet Danielle everything he knows. Well, as this is the first in a serial, there’s no actual hanky-panky just a lot of steamy kissing and hands in fun places. We’re clearly gonna have to wait until part two for things to get really crazy, which I can’t wait for. The setting of the story is good, both characters are likable and their chemistry is scorching hot. I’m really looking forward to the next part to see what will happen between them, because as we begin to know them Jack is not just a playboy athlete. Or at least it doesn’t seem that way with Danielle. At first, I had a bit more trouble relating to Danielle as she seemed too insecure and wouldn’t trust being herself around Jack enough to entice him. Once their arrangement is on, and she begins to be herself I started warming up to her. As I said, is a good beginning for this story but I’ll have to wait for the second installment to see how it goes. *I received a complimentary copy of this book*

A steamy HOT start in Part 1 of a 3 part serial by Cathryn Fox! Can't wait for the continuation! Psychologist Danielle Lang needs help and she needs it fast! When she runs across an old acquaintance, she works up her nerve and propositions him to get what she needs. Quarterback Jack Rider is having some down-time and isn't expecting to run into Danielle. When she spills her story that she needs help learning the ins and outs of sex, he tells her he's the guy for her and they set out on a 2 week thrill ride of showing her what it's really all about!

Danielle Lang is in serious trouble, she's found herself in a bind money wise, and she thought the most logical way to remedy the situation was to take on a job. Which seemed at the time like the perfect answer to all her problems until she realized she'd have to be well versed in the subject she has to teach... problem is she has no experience what's so over. She is being expected to discuss sex with her students, and she is no where near prepared to do that... good thing her best friend has a plan!! This sexy little novella captured my attention from the first page and kept me completely entranced until the last page was swiped!!! I got so wrapped up into the lives of Danielle and Jack that I found it hard to walk away, so I just devoured every sexy morsel in one sitting!! I can't wait to see what happens next for these two in the coming installments!!! I enjoy reading. For me it is a time to relax and unwind after a stressful day. Favorite format is series because as one journey ends, another begins. While becoming acquainted with new characters, there is also a chance to visit previous ones. That works great for me because it's the best of both worlds. I am not a big fan of serials where one story is divided into more than one novel because a pet peeve of mine is having to wait for the next installment to see what happens next. It drives me crazy. For that reason I was wary of Hands On. Ms. Fox ended up surprising me. Hands On reads like a soap opera with it's format but begins a sensuous romance that has no trouble with grabbing the attention and whetting a readers appetite for more. I got so caught up in Danielle and Jack that I forgot everything else. Still bummed I have to wait to see what happens, but I'm hooked all the same. A guilty pleasure that's worth all the hype.

I bought this book thinking it was its own story but it was very short and ended abruptly
