I have not read any of the previous Compass Ranch series from these two authors but was excited when I saw this new series. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the story and now will be looking at reading books from the other Compass series. This series is about the sons of the original Compton brothers and Heaven on Earth is Austin and Hayden’s story. What’s a woman to do when her dreams turn to nightmares and she needs to escape from an abusive boyfriend? That’s the situation that Hayden finds herself in. Lucky for her she finds a rig and decides to hide out and rest. When Austin s sees Hayden running off with his jacket, he immediately gives chase and is surprised when he tackles her to find a beautiful but battered Hayden who is obviously starving and injured. Austin is a caring and compassionate man, brought up to treat women correctly and he is appalled by what has happened to Hayden. Slowly but surely he gains her trust and with the temptation of sharing stories about his life and family from the Compass Ranch he enticers her to return home with him to heal and decide what she wants to do next. At the heart of this book is that family is not always blood related. Family is who you choose to have in and surrounding you; often it is those friends who become your family and that shone through in this book. Tragedy rears it’s ugly head for both Hayden and Austin and they lean on each other to get through the tough times. I really fell for Austin, such a caring, swoon worthy and compassionate man; Haydn has been beaten down but she is determined to make it and I admire her, When these two finally get together it was heart warming and passionate. I cannot wait to read more in this series and in fact will be looking at reading books from the other Compass series.

So glad the Compass Ranch series has continued. Feel like I'm apart of the family.

183 pages. Good story but could've been more.

Although the story is a good story there should have been some research from the author. How does a male "take contraception"? Also there were comment about background and details that I think might have been in a previous book? One and done for this reader. But good luck

If you loved the first generation of Compton men, you won't be disappointed with the Boys' journey. Very intriguing and unexpected. I can't wait to get to know the rest of the Compass Boys.

4.5 Stars This was a good one. It's was an emotional one for me. It definitely grabbed meat the heart for what Hayden had endured. She deserved someone in her life like Austin and his family. Hayden is giving a second chance, but her past won't let her go and what is she willing to give up for her future? I really liked Hayden because though she doesn't see it she has so much inner strength.

Heaven on Earth is a beautiful, moving love story. It's sweet, and heart-warming and absolutely amazing and it really touched my heart. This book pulled at all of my emotions and I cried more than once while reading it. I love the characters. Austin is decent and honest with such a good heart. When they meet, Hayden is wounded in mind and body but with Austin's help she learns to trust in others and in herself and finds the inner strength to stand on her own. This book is an awesome, well-written, uplifting love story and an exceptional read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

**Received ARC for a fair and honest review** Heaven on Earth is book 1 in the Compass Boys series. The book was hard to put down and a fast read, felt like it was over too soon. I'd rate this book at 4.5 stars. Austin goes off to college and after 2 years realizes that it's just not for him. When he comes back to the Compass Ranch, he doesn't want to feel like a complete failure and makes a suggestion that not only helps out the ranch, but allows them to profit and he's able to pay back the money for college. When he's out on a run for the ranch, he makes a stop at a rest stop and gets more then he bargained for. Hayden is on the run trying desperately to get away from her abusive ex-boyfriend, with literally just the shirt on her back. She's got no money, wallet, clothes and worst yet is hiding in an animal trailer to get some rest and regroup. But when she wakes up the trucks moving and she didn't plan for that. I really enjoyed the characters, they felt real, they had chemistry, the H was alpha, but not to crazy extremes and though the h had just run away from an abusive relationship she still had fight left in her and was a strong woman. She wasn't ready to throw in the towel and let life just roll all over her. I loved seeing the little bits of previous couples from the other stories/series. Always love seeing how they ended up doing. The only complaint I guess I have is the ending. I wasn't ready for it to end and I felt like it needed a little more, or an epilogue or something. Other then that it was a great book and I can't wait for the next book in the series!! Hope this helps!! Happy Reading!!!

Austin Compton has struggled to live up to the Compass legacy his entire life, afraid of disappointing his overachieving family. After dropping out of college, he convinced his parents to buy a big rig and let him contribute to the Compass Ranch in his own way. On the open road he discovers a happy medium between the freedom he craves and the obligation that comes along with the Compton name. When he picks up some unexpected cargo in the form of a gorgeous if battered stowaway, he’s in trouble. The same reckless urges that convinced him to abandon his education are telling him to keep Hayden close and safe, maybe even teach her how to love again after the disastrous relationship she’s fleeing. When troubled times fall on Compass Ranch, Hayden will do anything to repay the kindness Austin and his family showed her. It’s time to support Austin like he’s done for her, if her past doesn’t catch up with her at exactly the wrong moment. Review: I love that we are now getting the boy's stories. This story is full of heart and emotion, that is probably my most favorite part of the book...it touched me. Austin and Hayden are a wonderful couple, who both have to overcome their issues before working on their issues as a couple. I loved the build up in their relationship, though there is definitely attraction and some sexiness that ensues as their love story goes, there really such a great emotional quality to their love story. Writing was top notch and loved the cohesiveness of the book. I also loved seeing all the Compton's they are one of my favorite book families and it felt like old home week reading about them again. Overall this book left me feeling warm, fuzzy, and happy after reading it. A great start to this new series in the Compton family saga. 4Stars *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book provided by the Author.*

Heaven on Earth – Compass Boys Book 1 by Jayne Rylon and Mari Carr “All the water in the ocean can’t sink a ship unless you let it inside.” If you haven’t read the other books from Compton Pass / Compass Ranch it’s ok because this is a stand-alone and you will be able to follow along just fine. Just know that the Compton Family is big and loving and welcoming because: “‘The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.’ Meaning people you fight alongside become closer than relatives.” Austin has found his place in his family - he is content and living his dream. Hayden has no family around and is trying to find her way out of a very bad situation. They have a “meet cute” and the story rolls from there. This was a quick read that made me laugh (I cannot quote it here but please know that I laughed out loud at Location 1499 and will ABSOLUTELY work that title into a conversation this month), it made me sad, it made me happy and it made me look forward to the next book in this series. I absolutely recommend this book and the entire Compass Ranch series. Due to the open door sex scenes, I would not recommend it to my mom ~wink~

A great story. Heaven on Earth is the first book in the Compass Boys series. This series is a continuation of the Compass saga that began with the Compass Brothers series and also includes the Compass Girls. I haven't read either of the first two series and I still enjoyed this book a lot. I must say, though, that now I really, really want to go back and read the others. There were a few references to family history in Heaven on Earth that I would have had more insight into if I'd read the other series first. If you've ever read anything by Jayne Rylon or Mari Carr before you know that they write really hot stories and this one is no exception. I did like the way that this story took time to build up to the sexy time, though. Hayden has been hurt badly by the only relationship she's ever had, with her high school boyfriend. When she stows away on Austin's big-rig he wants to save her but Hayden wants and needs to prove to herself that she can standalone without a man to support her. This is not an insta-love story but when they finally do the deed – wow!! Heaven on Earth had me in tears more than once. If you are already a fan of the Compass saga you won't want to miss this opportunity to revisit old friends and check in on the Compass Boys. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this series. An advanced copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

I have read every single one of Jayne Rylon's books and I have never been disappointed..this woman is AMAZING and teamed with Mari Carr makes it spectacular!!! I was so excited for the Compass saga to continue and Heaven on Earth was perfect..just the right mixture of suspense, sexual tension (boy do they work that out), family drama, heartbreak, and love..lots and lots of sparks as Austin and Hayden are pure dynamite together. Make sure you have a box or two of tissues handy as this is one hell of a emotional roller coaster ride. It's great if you start with this book but if you want to read the stories of all the characters you meet in Heaven on Earth then make sure you check out the Compass Brothers & Compass Girls series as well.

I'm a fan of Jayne Rylon's to begin with and have actually read the first two Compass Brothers books, so I had some idea going in of what to expect. I was not disappointed! It's all in the family, so Austin's parents are from the first book I read a long time ago which was awesome. This one stands alone well, but it's extremely obvious that there are more stories, so you still feel like you're coming in mid series even though you technically aren't. Austin is so compassionate and vulnerable while still being giving off the alpha male vibe, which is a very enticing combination. Hayden is a strong woman who does what she has to in order to survive and thrive. She embarks on a journey to find herself and discovers so much more. Their story gets you invested right from the start and keeps a hold of you until the very last page. Heaven on Earth is an utterly enthralling read full of grit and heart. I'm absolutely going to read the rest of the Compass family books and eagerly await the next book in this series!

Book 1 in a brand new series about the Compass Boys features Austin and his stowaway Hayden. This book is my introduction to the Compass clan but I may have to go back and read all the others now. While the book is mainly about Austin he tells Hayden all about the rest of the family which only made me more intrigued to read their own stories. It was so difficult to put this done so I read it all in one day because I was so engrossed in their love story. The writing is simply amazing and draws the reader in… you would never guess this was written by two authors! It doesn’t happen often that I read a series that draws me in as completely as this one book did. I just didn’t want it to end! I also really enjoyed that it wasn’t all sunshine and roses … real relationships aren’t that way. I have never read either of these authors before and now I’m wondering what took me so long. I can’t wait to read more!

Received an advance copy from the author. I have loved the Compton family since Nothern Exposure, and every Compass story they have written since. This is no exception, Austin and Hayden's story is wonderful and heartbreaking at the same time. I'm happy they didn't give up on each other and found their HEA.
