Enjoyable and captivating read.

This was in my top five all time book series - well worth the read, exceptionally well done, great characters, complex plot, great use of concept of time, and without any prolific vulgarity.

My god! I can't eait for the next one. Might just have to take a dip in the timestreams and read it early! All in all, this was a.good book. It wasn't as good as the first, but when is the sequal ever as good?

This third in the series continues the excellent story of Ia. Her continuing voyage to protect the galaxy and all life there steps up the pace as she is given a special ship and crew, at the cost of her privacy and keeping her on the edge of disaster. This story contains more action than the previous, but still with a philosophical bent that keeps the reader thinking. I did like this book, and found that reading it was not as a chore but an experience. It seems that Jean Johnson has hit her stride with this series and continues to raise pertinent questions to think about, and to think how much courage it takes to chart your own course with a lot of people, both high and low, trying to interfer. I do recoomend the whole series, but Hellfire is more action oriented than the set up novels that preceded it. This does what good science fiction should do, cause you to think as well as question yourself and enjoy a story.

Johnson's continuing story in it's third installment does not quite meet the standard of the first two, but I'm still anxious to read what happens next.

I like the first two books but think the see future hook is getting dull. A lot of the military battles are being jumped over now.

Excellent read! Good addition to the series. Some action but at times the story slows. After so long a wait I'm glad to have this but feel that I have another long wait for the next book.  =(
