The first day at Hemingway High is going pretty normal, like the first day of school is going all across the rest of Michigan, like all across the country--that is until third period when Rosalind Howard--a senior--cuts class, walks out to the football field and blows her brains out on the fifty-yard line. And from that tragically surreal first day, a many-headed drama unfurls that will have the student body of Hemingway fighting for its very soul.
