Overview

Feisty, stubborn, and bored with life in Texas, Anne Best is about to get more than she bargained for.

The lovely widow heads off to the Big Apple for a job interview, expecting no more than a few days adventure in New York City, only to find herself with a new job working for the most infuriating man she's ever met.

Billionaire Steven Gherring is one of New York's Most Eligible Bachelors, and he has every intention of staying that way. But Gram has other ideas. She's on a not-so-secret campaign to find a wife for her grandson.

As fearless as she is clumsy, Anne tackles every challenge (including her new boss) enthusiastically, with two lone exceptions... public speaking and recognizing her own feelings. Passions rise along with hemlines as Gram joins forces with Anne, a veteran matchmaker, to find the perfect match for Steven.

"If you like Hallmark movies, you'll love The Best Girls!"

"It may not be realistic, but I wish it could actually happen!"

I loved this fast paced story set in multiple cities and countries. All the characters were so well written. Excellent read.

This is an easy book to get caught up in and hard to put down when you get started, very enjoyable, let's you live a fantasy world. Thanks

Anne acts very immature, more of a teenager and not a 45 year old woman. If you can get past all the immature drama, the story is actually a sweet one. The first half of this story was a pain to get through. I wanted to delete the book, but I pushed on and the sweet part of the story finally came out. *** esk 10/2017 ***

Anne Best acts a little immature to be a widow and a mother. The book was a little drawn out, but a cute story. Hope the other heroines act a little more mature

It's all for the female perspective, but it's pretty amazing. The characters just come to life. Great work

The main character acts like she is 16 years old and not a 45 year old widow with two grown daughters.

I have to say......Steven is the most patient man ever! He should have tried harder to show he wanted her though. Anne had her awesome moments, but I got tired of her idiocy.

Her Best Match starts with charm and class and ends with joy and humor. The characters are well-written and sweet. The plot is straightforward, but not oversimplistic. There are also little surprises or twists that will keep you interested from cover to cover. Somewhere in the middle, I wanted to fly myself to New York and match-make! The characters are so vibrant and alive. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

Would have been great if Anne hadn’t been such a klutz at 45. It was like she was living in a backwoods, didn’t know how to wear heels but no problem wearing sexy dresses and like she had lost some brain cells the way she was always acting stupid. Her drawl wasn’t consistent and she was portrayed too child like.

What a fun story. Anne is a hoot! I laughed and even teared up. I very much enjoyed this book.

I do not write reviews very often. It takes a truly magnificent book to make me want to share. I laughed, cried and fell in love with this book. It is a definite must to read.

Mostly it's rather predictable. Nice (clean) story.

This writer shows a gift for developing complex nuanced characters and an intricate plot. Not only is Anne a terrific character, but all the others are as well. As is the norm for a romance novel, you know early on who is supposed to end up together. It's engaging characters working through various challenges that keeps you turning the pages. This is an excellent read.

I really loved the pace, the characters and the twists. I kept wanting to reach into the scene and shake the protagonist to get her to stop talking and let the poor man finish a sentence! I can' t wait to start the next in the series.

Not believable and story just too juvenile.

It's sweet and fun. No sex--so if you want that, don't bother reading it. Kept me up late, trying to finish. I got it free, and then I read the whole series. It's cute, like a Hallmark movie.
