My favorite book in the series. Two lost souls. Christmas. Neither is looking for love, but each needs someone to love. Sparks fly. Love wins.

"Her Christmas Cowboy" by Katherine Garbera is book number five in the "Scott Brothers of Montana" series. This is retired Marine Lane Scott and Felicity Danvers' story. Lane is a double amputee below the knee and just wants to get back to some kind of normal life. Felicity is a school teacher going through a break up. She also has a low opinion of herself and feels she is not good enough. Neither Lane nor Felicity are interested in a relationship at this time in their life. Well, I wonder how that works for them? The author did a great job of incorporating a sweet and sensual romance with bringing awareness to everyday struggles that disabled vets endure in their daily life. FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Another offering from Marietta , Montana and those Scott brothers. Lane has returned home and finds Felicity to rekindle the past and find the road to future. Really enjoyed this Tale and look to return to Marietta soon . Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

I loved this story. Lane and Felicity have known each other since high school. They run into each other again, now both damaged by their pasts, physically and emotionally. I love how they complimented each other and were able to pull the other up when they were feeling down. The honest communication was just wonderful and really warmed my heart as they worked through their insecurities together.

An emotional story that I had a hard time putting down. Felicity Danvers had a huge crush on Lane Scott when they were in school together. But she was shy and afraid she wouldn’t be good enough for him, so she steered clear of him. When Lane returned to Marietta after a life altering injury in Afghanistan, he was a different man. He had lost both of his legs after stepping on and IED. Though he accepted his life as it was, he still felt something was missing. When Lane meets up with Felicity again and they start dating, he feels he has finally found a new meaning in his life. But first he must convince Felicity to trust him. With Lane’s love, Felicity is finally able to put her fears in the past and move on. I was very impressed with this story. I don’t personally know anyone who lost limbs in a war, but after reading this book, I feel I know a lot about the subject. I enjoyed Lane and Felicity’s story and how they bought light to each other lives. The Christmas background was a fun addition too and the perfect tie in to the story.

I really loved this honest and beautifully written story. I found it hit a chord with me. To trust again in yourself and in another is scary and so worth it when it works out. Felicity is getting by with her life and the upcoming holiday hoopla when she runs into Lane, literally. Lane has good days and bad days with his injury and is in limbo at what to do next, when he gets knocked over. As these two come together they will learn about each other and themselves. Great addition to the series. I received an advanced copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review

This is a lovely ex class mates to more romance based in the delightful town of Marietta, Montana as the festive season approaches. Lane Scott was a Marine who lost both his lower legs whilst on active duty. He’s returned home but feels unsettled, not totally because of his injuries but he’s not sure what he’s missing - until the girl that wouldn’t go out with him in High School, Felicity Danvers, literally runs into him. She actually really wanted to go out with him back then but was too shy and reticent to do so. Now she’s a class teacher but her ex has totally destroyed her confidence in her ability to be worthy enough for anyone to love. Add in her mother who wants to make Christmas a time to be perfect and Felicity really isn’t totally into the festive spirit. As the two are still mutually attracted, can they overcome their fears and anxieties and let the Christmas spirit bring them both a chance of love and achieving their own HEA? This is the fifth book in the series but works well as a standalone, too. Set in Marietta, it shares characters from other series and authors but concentrates on the Scott extended family members and the mother and sister of Felicity. The events include the Marietta Stroll and Christmas Ball, reference is made to characters from other related stories (for instance, the visiting Prince) but you really don’t have to have read them to appreciate this one. I found the characters easy to empathise with, they’re well portrayed and have plenty of emotional quandaries in their lives. This is an enjoyable festive read, exploring some of the difficulties experienced by amputees, ex-Marines and emotionally abuse victims in a quick but riveting fun festive read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I recommend this - and the other Marietta festive reads - to anyone who enjoys reading about Christmas love in a close knit community. I requested an ARC of this novel via NetGalley. This is my honest opinion.

A Marietta Christmas story that went directly to my heart and made an impact with the relatable characters and peril of the every day, and every mind, issues we have to face. Because no matter how incredible the physical connection is between two people, the minds have to connect as well. And then there are the awkward, uncomfortable moments of uncertainty and how fast and how far and what is the other one thinking... And the whole growing and developing to be a couple, a unit that works between Felicity and Lane was done so well, the insecurities were endearing, the questions revealing, and the fears and walls start to crumble at the same time as they fall fast, deep, and for ever. The whole fumble into lust and then learning to treasure and adore each other, accept the other with all the falls and fails and never give up was adorable, delightful and sexy. I smiled, sighed and even had a tear while reading because life is sometimes a mess like it was for Felicity and to see her conquer her fears from the past made me want to cheer out loud. I really connected with these characters and wanted the story to continue as I read the book in one sitting, not wanting to let go but to stay in the moment to make sure they both were in and building the foundation that their future could be build on. ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side

A wonderful Christmas story with so much emotion, that I could not put down until I was done. Lane has returned to Marietta, after a devastating injury in the Marines, a double amputee. When he runs into Felicity, who has her own wall of barrier up. There is a mutual attraction between the two, but will it last for more than the holiday season. I really enjoyed how strong Lane was, and did not feel sorry for himself. Felicity was fun an enjoying Christmas on her own terms, not her mothers. I enjoyed how both of theirs barriers came down as their relationship developed. Felicia was Lane's Christmas Angel! I highly recommend this book!

I loved reading Her Christmas Cowboy by Katherine Garbera, book five in the Scott Brothers series. Finally, Lane Scott gets his story. Lane is a double amputee after stepping on an IED while overseas with the Marines. He has adjusted to leading as normal of a life as he possibly could, but is tired of being called a hero. He sees it as just doing his job. One day he literally runs into Felicity Danvers, a former high school classmate, who was avoiding her Christmas loving momma. Felicity, now a second grade teacher, yearns for some Christmas magic. She is under the impression that she is not perfect and for that reason her momma finds her lacking. Lane decides to make this holiday special for Felicity and in the process finds what he believes has been missing from his life. As Christmas nears, they discover that their love can overcome any obstacle. However, can Lane and Felicity trust that it’s not just Christmas magic that brings them together? This was a fun, wonderful and entertaining story with very likeable and authentic characters you want to cheer on, hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written with complex characteristics. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. I recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
