Lilas is a pawn in the hands of her brother in law. He will keep her child even as he sends her North to kill his adversary. Things do not always go on as planned. The tale is a bit wordy but a good read none the less

I loved the story overall but I feel indifferent to the rushed ending. I would have much prefered the book been longer or broken into two novels rather than be so smashed together.

I feel bad giving this work two stars but honestly the whole book was giving me the visual and the description and there was so little dialogue it drove me to finally shut it down.. I couldn't finish it.

Surprisingly good. I usually get frustrated reading these books. Thankfully this book was cleaner than not. There were a lot of twists and turns. Very realistic showing clan emotions against strangers.
