For a man who makes his living pleasuring women, what happens when the only pay-out worth having is love?
Faith Abigail Charles has always done the right thing. So when her mother runs for mayor of New Orleans, Faith puts her law career on hold to help her win. But when tensions run high, Faith trades one kind of heat for another—in the arms of a hard-bodied stranger. He’s everything a woman dreams of in a lover. So much so that her one-night stand turns into two, then three, then four …
For Aiden Rios, meeting smart, sexy Faith feels like fate. After being ditched by his client in the Big Easy, the high-paid male escort needs a little company himself. Aiden knows he’ll have to come clean about his line of work, and he plans to—right after another taste of Faith’s sweetness—and another and another … Until a chance meeting with his client leaves Aiden exposed—and Faith shocked and hurt. Now the hired hottie must show Faith that the love they share is bigger than the scandal threatening to destroy them …

This was such a fun, fluffy read! I enjoyed reading about Faith and Aiden. The conflict felt real and even though I was dying for Aiden to fess up, I could understand why he struggled to tell her the truth. Neither of them expected to have any feelings and it was really sweet to see them get caught up in one another, even though I knew the bottom would eventually fall out. Aiden did a great job atoning for his actions in the end. It was fun seeing the Mayhem men back in action (their found family is so pure!) and I loved the New Orleans setting. If you're looking for a good escape and a happy ending, Hired is a good call! I can't say it will be the most memorable book I read this year and I never felt overly invested in the story, hence why I'm rating it at 3 stars instead of 4, but it definitely hit the spot. Disclosure: I won an ARC from the author in a giveaway.

Love books with settings in New Orleans; one city I how I can visit again. But at least I get a fix with my books. Hired started out a bit slow and took me a while to get into the characters; this being Happy Endings #2. But the narrative took off as did the characters and even made me cry in one part. Faith and Aiden had their ups and downs but look for the HEA. "A copy of this book was provided by Kensington via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

Aiden's childhood was far from ideal, but he used his good looks to make his way in life as a stripper and escort. While in New Orleans with a client that had to leave, he stays behind in the hotel suite she paid for. When he's at the bar, he meets Faith and becomes infatuated with her. Even though he knows that they can never have a relationship, he has trouble walking away. Faith has done everything her parents have asked her, but she's fed up and decides that for once she going to do what she wants. She is immediately attracted to Aiden, but knows he's only in town for a week so what's the harm in a little fling with a hot guy. This book is heartbreaking and very steamy. I just kept waiting for the train wreck to happen ... it just seemed to take a really long time to happen. I loved how Faith could make Aiden weak in the knees without even doing anything. I can't wait for the next book. I received an advanced copy courtesy of Kensington Books through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
