Historic Churches of New Mexico

Northern New Mexico is blessed with lots of historic churches; some the legacy of Spanish Colonization; others, of Western expansion. Here are photos and a short history of many of the most significant, including Santuario de Chimayo, Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis, Our Lady of Guadalupe (the oldest Lady of Guadalupe shrine in the US), and Mission de San Miguel, the oldest church in the United States.
