In California at the Safe Harbor Medical Clinic, administrator Dr. Mark Rayburn and pediatrician Dr. Samantha Forrest seem to argue about everything from the moment they first met. One thing they do not argue about, for that matter even acknowledges exists, is their attraction to one another. Samantha is depressed when Mark informs her there will no longer be any space for the free clinic. Meanwhile, nineteen year old maternity patient Candy feels overwhelmed and knows her boyfriend Jon will not be around just like her father abandoned her, as he calls the newborn ugly because there is a port-wine stain on the face. Candy gives up her parental rights for her newborn triplets to Samantha, who without a second thought blink accepts the kids. A stunned Mark, who felt the clinic was his family, knows Sam is overwhelmed. He joins her as they struggle with what is best for the babies and for each other. This is a charming Christmas medical romance that sub-genre fans will enjoy due to a strong lead couple and an ensemble support cast. Although there are too many subplots, readers will appreciate the dedicated doctors Mark and Sam learning what matters in their personal lives. Harriet Klausner

The Holiday Triplets -- Harlequin American Romance # 1335 -- December 2010 -- Jacqueline Diamond -- The third book of the "Safe Harbor Medical" series.-- Dr. Mark Rayburn was the administrator for the Safe Harbor Medical Center. He loved his job of being head of the Center and being one of the obstetricians there. Mark wanted the hospital to be the very best in the country. The only one that was giving him problems was pediatrician Dr. Samantha Forrest. Samantha had the habit of saying things that would end up in the news, which was giving the Medical Center bad publicity. Mark had allowed Samantha to open a counseling clinic in the Medical Center in some offices that had been empty so they had allowing Samantha to rent it free of charge. Now the people at the head office were saying that she would have to move the clinic somewhere else because they needed that office space for the new fertility center that they wanted to open by the first of the year. -- Samantha had received bad news from her family doctor telling her that she wasn't likely to be able to have children. On the day that the news media was at the hospital, Candy, a 19-year-old single mother came to the hospital saying that she couldn't take care of her new triplets. She was going to give up her children under the "California Safe Haven Law". When the news media point out she had passed the dead line for that, Samantha offered to privately adopt all three babies. Samantha was soon over her head as she tried to care for three small infants. -- Jacqueline Diamond brings a loving, caring and an emotion story that had me looking for tissues. Samantha struggles to care for the triplets and for the first time mixed feeling for Mark as he comes to help with the babies. There is an attraction between Mark and Samantha that burns very strong. Will Samantha find a place so she can keep her free counseling clinic open? Will Mark and Samantha will be able to find the path to true love? Watch for the next story in the "Safe Harbor Medical" series. It is # 1344 "Officer Daddy" coming out in February 2011, in Harlequin American Romance Series.
