HE'S A HOLLYWOOD SUPERSTAR. SHE'S LITERALLY THE GIRL NEXT DOOR.
One of Hollywood's A-listers, I have the movie industry in the palm of my hand. But if I'm going to stay at the top, my playboy image needs an overhaul. No more tabloid headlines. No more parties. And absolutely no more one night stands.
Filming for my latest blockbuster takes place on the coast of Maine and I'm determined to stay out of trouble. But trouble finds me when I run into Lana Kelly.
She doesn't recognize me, she's never heard of Matt Easton and my million dollar smile doesn't work on her.
Ego shredded, I know I should keep my distance, but when I realize she's my neighbor I know I'm toast. There's no way I can resist temptation when it's ten yards away.
She has a mouth designed for pleasure and legs that will wrap perfectly around my waist.
She's movie star beautiful and her body is made to be mine.
Getting Lana Kelly into my bed is harder than I'm used to. She's not interested in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, but I'm determined to convince her the best place in the world is on the red carpet, holding my hand.
I could have any woman in the world, but all I want is the girl next door.

I just can't stop smiling! So far, this is my favorite book by Louise Bay! I just finished this book and I keep smiling and swooning and I'm so light for it! It was so sweet, sexy, involving. The characters were amazing, all of them. The main ones, the secondary ones! I was so immersed in the plot and in the feelings of the book. They cared about each other, even when sometimes the meddle and stepped over a boundarie. Lana and Matt were incredible together. I wasn't just told that they were falling for each other. I felt it. Lana was strong, firm at what she believed, she was caring and friendly and her fears and insecurities because of her past were understandable. She was a solid character. Matt was not only hot and knew about it. He wasn't just a Hollywood guy. He was a guy who happened to be a Hollywood star, and this is different. He was sweet, funny, protective, he was worried about his family and Lana. He had his heart and mind both in the right place, even when he made mistakes (bacause he did...as we all do). And as the plot evolved, I got more and more drowned in them. Their interaction kept increasing and getting more believable at each page, I loved that! And when they had a huge fight, it made so much sense that I loved this book even more. It wasn't just some cliche that could have been avoided. It was something I could totally understand, they both had strong arguments, it was "fightable" for. This book was amazing! And I'm so glad I got to read it!
This book gives sexy a new name! Holy cow did Louise Bay outdo herself with Lana and Matt's story. It's not your typical Hollywood romance book. The feeling are deeper, the sex is hotter, and the couple is far more relatable. Lana and Matt connect instantaneously. They're just so consumed by one another, but they both have hangups. Lana has fears she's still running from, and Matt has a need to prove himself, but is he headed the direction HE wants to be going in life or is he letting others dictate it for him like Lana's fears are dictating her future? Together they run through the ups and downs of fighting for their own dream futures and find that what they once thought might be incompatibility (as far as needs and wants for the future) may just be a perfect fit. Matt and Lana truly bring out the best in each other and that along with the STEAMING hot sex really made this book. There is a lot of character development and there's definitely a true, meaningful connection which can often be lacking given everything else that happens in this book. Also, it's so far from predictable. Everything I just mentioned above makes this a clear-cut winner for me! A super sexy, super amazing standalone that gave my palate a nice refresher and stood out among the masses. Happy Reading! *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*
A Hollywood Romance set in a small town with enough intrigue, feels and chemistry to make it impossible to put down. So, this isn't your typical girl meets Hollywood sex symbol. Let's just say Lana and Matt have the most fabulous and entertaining first meeting ever and it sets the tone for the rest of the book. Lana isn't impressed with glitz, glamour or fame. A bad experience from her college days in New York has left her guarded and reluctant. Meanwhile, Matt's Hollywood life has entangled him in some interesting obligations, making me wonder if that's how Hollywood really works? Both of their issues become rolled up one gigantic mess, leaving both Matt and Lana to re-evaluate what is most important to them. Once again, Louise Bay delivers a story that is easy to relate to, full of real emotion and sizzles with chemistry. An easy reminder why I never hesitate to read her books.
Louise Bay has done it again. Every time I think she can’t get any better than this, she just proves me wrong. So, Hollywood Scandal, what can I tell you about this? Well, take one charming gentlemanly, unassuming, super sexy, hot and rugged Hollywood star, place him in a small coastal Maine town, add a gorgeous jewelry designer mix with a thunderstorm and you have the makings of a beautiful relationship. Matt Easton was in Worthington, Maine to make a movie. Lana Kelly was just making her way home when they met at the bandstand in the park. Sparks flew and not from the lightning as Lana gave Matt a tongue lashing for being dumb standing under a metal roof during a storm. He’s intrigued by Lana as she acts like she doesn’t know who he is, but he’s a BIG star so surely she should. When he discovers he’s going to be living next door to her on the beach, he’s determined to get to know her. Lana tries to fight her attraction, but Matt’s too overwhelming and so are her desires. I had to laugh at that way that scene went down. Matt’s only in town for six weeks and it doesn’t take long before he knows he wants more than a simple fling. But, Lana doesn’t want to be seen in public with him, she’s scared of the paparazzi. As a leading man, and a one time playboy, Matt has to be seen as being on an even keel, and being seen to have a steady a girlfriend. He wants Lana to be that girl. She has secrets she doesn’t want to come to light. Secrets she can’t tell Matt. Matt tries his best to protect her but when those secrets are exposed in the most shameful and glaring light of the media, she blames him and runs. Can Matt prove he was just trying to be the good guy? Will Lana forgive him? Or is this just one more relationship to fall beneath a Hollywood scandal?
Matt Easton has stolen my heart. I have always had something for Hollywood stars. Their lives intrigue me. When reading about a Hollywood star, I always get caught up in the Hollywood stuff that makes their lives so intriguing. This book gives us Matt, who is just a Midwest guy who has struck Hollywood gold. When he meets Lana, he knows that he has found his forever. The way he treats her and the relationship they have is something you see in fairy tales and not in Hollywood. I loved this story. Matt is Hollywood royalty with a heart of gold and so protective of those that he loves. Lana is a tough as nails girl who knows what she does and doesn't want. The Hollywood title does nothing for her. As these two navigated their different views on how they could build a life together, I fell hard for them both. Louise Bay does a great job creating swoony guys and the kick butt women who take them on. Lana and Matt are no different. This is a great story. Loved it!
