Overview

From USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Bernard comes a second chance to fall in love ...

Ben, the most romantic of Jupiter Point's smoking hot Knight brothers, knew from the moment he met his high school sweetheart, Julie deGaia, that she was the one for him. Marriage, kids…he wanted forever with Julie—until the moment she skipped town without a word. Then Ben’s father was murdered, and his life was irrevocably changed. Now, after twelve years, Julie’s back. Ben’s over her, of course. They’re completely different people now.

Right. If they’re so different, why do his feelings for her seem so damn familiar?

And how, after all this time, can she still make Ben so hot and bothered?

Julie was never supposed to return to Jupiter Point. It’s only by staying away that she’s ensured her safety. But she owes a huge debt to the wealthy and demanding Reinhard family, who took her in as a child. What the Reinhards want, they get, so here she is, dodging a handsomer-than-ever Ben Knight. Her former sweetheart has turned into a hunky pilot who aims that sexy smile at everyone except her—until he learns the truth about why she left in the first place.

If the past can’t keep Ben and Julie apart, a deadly threat in the present might. As for that idyllic future they always dreamed about? It might take some Jupiter Point magic to put this star-crossed couple on the road to happy ever after.

This is the second chance romance about Ben and Julie. I love all these books and this book sucked me in more. We’re getting closer to learning who the killer of Robert Knight is. I love all the suspense in the books too. If you’re looking for a series about small town living and all its perks, then this is the perfect series for you.

Back in the day, nothing got Ben Knight more hot and bothered than Julie deGaia. And vice versa - everyone in Jupiter Point knew this two teenage love birds were destined for forever….until they weren’t. The big mystery swirling throughout the Knight Brothers series spin-off from Jupiter Point (right after who murdered the Knight Brothers’ father) was what happened between Julie and Ben that sent Ben into the Air Force and Julie away from Jupiter Point for 12 years. Now that Julie has waltzed back into Jupiter Point, it becomes clear that not even Ben is quite sure what happened. Misunderstandings and missed opportunities seem to have plagued these two in the past, but danger is swirling in the present. Just what is going on? This is another emotional read from Ms. Bernard that will give you all the feels - the romance, the warmth, the suspense, the heartache - not to mention some anger towards those that did Ben and Julie wrong years ago. I enjoyed every up, every down, every “bump in the road” this couple experienced on their way to HEA. This author can always be counted on for a well-written plot with interesting characters you will love or hate, maybe even at the same time! (No spoilers, but the Reinhards? Hmmmmm) Bottom line is that this book left me happy, satisfied, and intrigued for the next one! A+

Jupiter Point and the Knight Brothers...what a combination! Ben knew what he wanted when he met Julia in High School. Everyone expected them to be together forever, until the night she left town without a word. Then his father was murdered and his life took a completely different track. He returned to Jupiter Point, started a business with his brother, and is happy...or is he? When Julie comes to town he realizes that he isn't over her. Julie isn't going to let the fact that she never heard from Ben and his current attitude keep her from the town she loves. Besides, she may have information that may help solve Ben's father's murder and it's past time she shared it. Misunderstandings and secrets kept these two apart, but when it becomes obvious that they still care, can they overcome the past and their current situations to find their future, together? With strong, likeable characters, a small town full of interesting people, and high school sweethearts looking for a second chance, this story kept me turning the pages to see what was next. It is book seven in the series, but can be read as a standalone.

Ben Knight is an Air Force Reserve pilot--after serving 12 years active duty. Having come home to start up a flight company that mostly caters to Jupiter Point's honeymoon clientele, his main goal is to fly high and often. All that comes crashing down when a blast from the past returns. Why here and why now? Julie fled Jupiter Point 12 years ago when her best friend called needing her help. She stayed away for fear of what she'd find when she came back. But NONE of that compares to what slams into her every time she catches a glimpse of the love she left behind. A second chance love story. A tale of two sweethearts. But when you fall in love at 16, can you really rekindle against the teenage angst that has had over a decade to fester? I have read over 25+ of Jennifer Bernard's books. With some author's you would find that the characters start to muddle together, or the plots become hazy as one bleeds into the next. But with Bernard's Jupiter Point series, you are never fed the same book twice!! Ben Knight is the perfect addition to the Knight brothers. The more emotional of the four, he's the one they all thought would get married and start a family first. Instead he finds himself avoiding the one person he ever loved because she left without a word. I love the Bernard was able to meld a tough as nail fighter pilot with a teddy bear! He got the rough language of someone who has flown over some craptastic episodes, but the heart of a man who only ever wanted one thing. He's what most girls DREAM of! The saga of what happened to the Knight brothers' father is continued in this book. I will say I am not a fan of "thrillers" or "crime" books, so while we do have a case of whodunnit, I appreciate it isn't the focal point of the story. This is the 7th book in the Jupiter Point Series, and the 3rd of the Knight Brothers. It can be read as a stand alone, but truly you should check out the previous to help get a feel for the sub-characters. I loved Ben and Julie TOGETHER and can't wait to see where the upcoming books find them!

This series just keeps getting better and better. I love Ben and Julie. Heck I love Jupiter Point! Former teenage couple reunite 12 years later. It wasn't smooth sailing for them at the beginning (both believing the other was mad at them and hated them). As time goes on, we learn more about that time 12 years in the past and why things happened as they did. Some devious plans and some serious threats kept them apart. They reconnected and things are going good until some emotions get in the way of their happiness. Throw in a threat on Julie and a kidnapping for the extra drama...and you have a WONDERFUL book. And to add to it all, each book contains blurbs with each of the other characters in the other books. It's nice how they all are put together. I am so anxiously awaiting the next book to continue the investigation. I love how Ms. Bernard keeps the mystery of Robert Knight's death flowing through each book. A must read!!!

Finally, we get to read Ben’s story! I have been looking forward to this one and it did not disappoint! Ben and Julie get their second chance and a happily ever after but first must deal with their past. Like all of Ms. Bernard’s books, it grabs the reader from the first page and is very hard to put down. Although I recommend reading the entire series, you can definitely read this as a stand-alone book. You won’t be disappointed!

There is something special about a high school sweetheart story; the shared history, surviving one of the worst times of your life together, finding a way to make it despite all that. Ben and Julie in Jennifer Bernard’s latest Hot and Bothered, are such a couple. A terrible misunderstanding pulled them apart, now that both are back in Jupiter Point they have the opportunity to straighten it out. While Ben and Julie are fun, Felix, Julie’s godson, steals the show. He adds another dimension to the story which makes it all the more fun. There is more suspense in this novel than Bernard’s other works, but she works it in subtly so even non-fans won’t even notice. Bernard does leave a major thread dangling at the end of this installment. I hope it doesn’t take her long to pick it back up. It is time to solve the Knight murder. If for that reason alone, I can’t wait for the next installment. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

Again WOW!! I don’t know how she does it, but every book, including Hot and Bothered, Jennifer Bernard writes in her Jupiter Point series is better than the last. This is an amazing story about two people who get a second chance at the love they were denied as teens. Ben and Julie are perfect for each other, then and now. Neither could forget the other, their first love and nor could they find someone who could fill the hole left in their hearts. Julie gives all of herself to others, especially to her best friend and godson, but takes nothing for herself. Ben is all about family; his brothers and missing mom and sister. After twelve years away, Julie returns to Jupiter Point with some clues to the murder of the Knight Brothers’ father. Now it’s time for Julie to think and act for herself and her love for Ben. I really loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. This amazing story is a sexier and steamier story than Ms. Bernard usually writes. However, this story really drew me in and did not let me go until I turned the last page. I highly recommend this book to other readers and can’t wait to read her next book. This is not only the seventh book in the Jupiter Point series but also the third book in her Knight Brothers series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Ben Knight and Julie were high school sweethearts who KNEW they'd get married, have kids, and live happily ever after. Then life got in the way. Fast forward twelve years... Ben, a former military pilot, and his brothers have opened Day and Knight Tours. They take tourists up in the skies for tours of Jupiter Point and surrounding areas. Ben loves his job, but feels as though something's missing in his life. Although he tries not to be, he's a little envious of his brothers and their significant others. He wants that for himself. Julie has carried a secret for twelve long years and it's one of the main reasons she's returned to Jupiter Point. Once home, she realizes the messages she left for Ben all those years ago, were never received. Actually, the messages were relayed, but they weren't her words. As Julie works to make Ben forgive her, there is a stalker in waiting. Loved, loved, loved Ben and Julie! Ben is swoon-worthy, patient, and romantic! Julie has a heart as big as Texas, but almost to her detriment. Julie has given up twelve years of her life to help her best friend raise her son. As a result, she has no life of her own and is willing to put her life on hold for her godson and best friend. Ben tries to be understanding, but also tries to get Julie to realize she needs to start living her dreams before it's too late. I enjoyed Ben's interaction and patience with Julie's godson. Intriguing ending, but actually wanted more, maybe an epilogue of sorts. This was the seventh novel in the series, but can be read as a stand alone. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

This book features lead characters Ben Knight and his former high school girlfriend who disappeared without a word 12 years ago, leaving him heartbroken and jaded about love. Now suddenly Julie is back in town shaking up Ben’s world with memories and secrets to confess as well as a confrontation that has been years in the making. I always enjoy Jennifer’s storylines, her down to earth characters and the hilarity and mayhem of this particular group of brothers. The continuing murder mystery added a spooky factor while Ben and Julie’s awakening passion really made my heart race! I read an early copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary and unsolicited review are completely my own.

Can I give this more than 5 stars??? I have loved the Knight Brothers books/series since the very beginning. With Hot and Bothered, I can honestly say it gets better and better and better! There’s so much I want to say about specific things I enjoyed about this story however I do not want to deliver any spoilers. It is about Ben and Julie this time, but of course all the brothers stop by…and they, too, just keep getting more and more endearing. Not only is the story of Ben and Julie wonderful and warm and heart-hurting (all at the same time), it brings us closer to the story about the Knight family both in the past and today. We are introduced to Savannah and Felix Reinhard – I won’t try to connect the dots; read the story, you won’t be sorry – and Felix’s character is just amazing. How Julie, and even Ben, deal with him? I’d want to know both of them and even have them as part of MY family. I wish I felt I could say more but each time Ms. Bernard writes about a Knight brother, I fall hard. This time is no exception. Julie will endear herself to you as well, as she has had just as “bad” a childhood as the Knights, in a much different way. Just when I thought things were looking up for these two, well, the story takes another turn that kept me reading until I had finished. Loved the book, loved Ben, Julie, Felix and Sarah… Don’t know how to recommend Hot and Bothered/Jupiter Point – The Knight Brothers series more. Great reads, all. And special hugs to Ben.

I am still seriously swooning over Ben Knight! Yes ladies another of the very sexy, charming and incredibly awesome Knight brothers, finally comes face to face with his fate or in Ben's case finally does again. We definitely see who got a big helping of sweetness, vulnerability and the ability to fly circles around the heart of the woman he wants. I am such a sucker for a really good second chance love story, and this certainly is that!! I love how both Ben and Julie are totally unprepared for the onslaught of feelings that come to the surface again after 12 years. They were just teenagers before and hadn't ever taken their relationship to that final level of intimacy. Oh but how they most definitely get there now! Ben & Tobias have something special to be proud of in their flight tour business and stepping in to help the Hot Shots when needed. Ben is very happy in Jupiter Point. Julie has a successful cleaning business in LA and is very devoted to her friend Savannah's son Felix as she has stepped in to be his caregiver while Savannah is on location shooting since she is an actress. Julie brings Felix with her back to Jupiter Point because she really wants to make everything right for Ben and his brothers after leaving the way she did 12 years ago and to finally give them the information she has been afraid to talk about for so many years. It takes so much courage and strength on her part. That whole part of the story line is so just good and intense. I love that Ben & Julie have both basically been unable to love anyone because they have loved each other for so long and are finally getting the chance to be together and be everything to each other. They have some intensely hot chemistry and some very sexy, steamy moments. But what happens when Julie has to leave to go back to LA? Can they make it work? Hot & Bothered does not disappoint and definitely lives up to it's title. Jennifer Bernard can't go wrong with this series in my eyes!

This is my first book by Jennifer Bernard and I am in love with this series! I will definitely go back and read the others in this series. I am a sucker for second chance romances. Ben and Julie find their way back to each other even when circumstances tried to come between them. I thoroughly enjoyed the writing style of Jennifer Bernard – she makes you become invested in the characters while weaving a story with layer upon layer making you feel like you are watching it unfold. Well done – don’t miss out on this wonderful story.

I adore these Knight brothers and Ben is officially my favorite of the bunch! Ben has always known what he wants. Wife, marriage, family. He thought all that would come with his high school sweetheart Julia deGaia. That is until she disappears without a word. Then his father was murdered and his whole world fell apart. Twelve years later Julia is back not only revving Ben's heart up all over again but with info that might help them solve the case of his father's murder. The love is still there between them but before they can ever have a chance at a future they need to deal with their past. This is absolutely a book I recommend to everyone. The writing is exceptional and these characters will win your heart!

In reading the previous two stories about the Knight brothers, I fell in love with Ben. He was the happy go lucky brother with a quick joke and flirtatious smile that had the women falling all over themselves. But from the first chapter of this one, he has lost his sense of humor and happiness. Julie, his first girlfriend has returned to Jupiter Point. She disappeared years ago without an explanation or a goodbye. And now she is just walking around town avoiding him and still not giving an explanation. He becomes cranky and that is unacceptable since he gives the tours to the honeymooning couples in Jupiter Point. He's actually scaring them and that's his brother's job. Julie is between a rock and a hard place. She is committed to helping her best friend Savannah and her son Felix by having Felix get to know his grandparents while Savannah is on a movie set. She knows she messed up with Ben but doesn't know how to start that conversation. He didnt seem to want ot meet with her when she asked all those years ago so why would he want to hear her out now? But she's carrying a secret that she can't hide anymore, especially since Will, Ben's brother, is looking into part of the reason she left. This second chance at love is so perfect. Ben and Julie are so in love as teenagers that they don't see a future without the other in it. They plan out the right way to have their future down to how many kids they will have and their names. But when Julie is threatened, all those plans to up in smoke. She leaves to help Savannah and protect herself at the cost of a shattered heart. Ben's heart is beyond shattered as well. At the time of Julie's disappearance, his father is murdered. He is the one who has to break the news to his mother and that's so much to ask of a seventeen year old. He is riddled with guilt because he feels he messed it up so bad that his mother also leaves Jupiter Point. She takes Ben's sister with her leaving behind her 8 year old son, Aiden. He sees no point in sticking around either and pursues his love of flying with the Air Force. They come to an agreement where they will be friends with benefits. Both of them know that they must guard their hearts. Too bad they don't do a very good job of it. The old feelings that they had are still there. To admit that to each other is a whole other problem. Ben is afraid that Julie's going to leave again. And Julie is too. She isn't sure that the man who threatened her is really gone, She hasn't been approached yet but that could change. I am thrilled at how the direction of this series is going. Not only is Ms. Bernard writing about the love relationship with these couples but the mystery of the father's murder. Each book we learn a little more and it keeps me wanting to get my grabby hands on the next installment. I adored Felix. Having a child on the spectrum, I'm sensitive to chatacters that are descibed that way. Felix is different than my own but I do see many similarities. Especially with the research that Felix puts onto things. Ms. Bernard does a wonderful job giving us just enough for us to formulate who we think might be behind everything that destroyed the Knight family all those years ago. I am enjoying the unraveling so much that I might not want to know who actually did it.

Oh how I love the Knight Brothers!! I was so excited to finally get Ben's story. Ben and Julia has everything planned out for their lives, even though they were just in high school but then Julia disappears the night that Ben's dad is murdered. Twelve years later Julia shows back up in Jupiter Point, they can deny the passion that they still share but first they need to put the past behind them. Once again this is an exceptional book of true brotherhood between the boys. Plenty of romance between Ben and Julia, great chemistry between them. I enjoyed how you got a little more of glimpse of what happened to their dad. This is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I highly recommend this book along with the rest of Knight Brothers!
