The NHL's biggest bad boy is about to fall for the virgin next door...I am the world's biggest dating failure. We're talking my last date went home with our waitress kind of failure. But I have an ace in the back pocket of my mom jeans-my sexy-as-sin best friend, NHL superstar forward, Justin Cruise. Justin owes me favors dating back to seventh grade, long before he became a hotshot with a world famous...stick. So in return for my undying platonic loyalty, all I want is an easy-peasy crash course on how to be a sex goddess. How hard can it be?***I have never been so hard in my life. The things I want to do to my sweet, kindergarten-teaching, mitten-crocheting best friend Libby Collins are ten different kinds of wrong. Maybe twenty. But I'm a firm believer in teaching by example, and by the end of our first lesson, we've graduated to a hands on approach to her education: my hands all over her, her hands all over me, and her hot mouth melting beneath mine as I prove to her there isn't a damned thing wrong with the way she kisses. Give me a month, and I'll transform Libby from wall flower to wall banger, and ensure she's confident enough to seduce any guy she wants.Problem is... the only guy I want her seducing is me. Hot as Puck is a sexy, flirty, friends-to-lovers Standalone romantic comedy from USA Today Bestseller Lili Valente.

About the Author

Lili Valente has slept under the stars in Greece, eaten dinner at midnight with French men who couldn't be trusted to keep their mouths on their food, and walked alone through Munich's red light district after dark and lived to tell the tale.

These days you can find her writing in a tent beside the sea, drinking coconut water and thinking delightfully dirty thoughts.

Great read. The characters were easy to fall in love with. The emotions throughout really came through the writing (well done) didnt feelbforced and a lot of the thoughts were every day kind of things. The story was detailed and easy to follow, no boring moments for me and kept me interested throughout. Has just enough hockey to keep my sports loving side happy, and enough love and quirky scenes to keep the romantic in me happy. I plan to look into La's story next

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my first book by this author and WOW it is a HOT book. If sex scenes are not your thing them do NOT read this book but if you love a scorching HOT book like I do, then you will LOVE this book. It is a sweet, hot and fun book featuring two besties who become lovers. Justin Cruise is HOT!! He really is not a manslut what he is is a serial monogamous dater. On the nght the book starts is his birthday and he and his live in girl friend break up that night. She is just one of many that he dated and got bored with. His two besties are sisters, Laura and her younger sister Libby. At the party Libbey is all sexily dressed and she confesses to Justin she needs help finding and keeping a guy. Libby is a sweet, kind and nerdy kindergarten teacher who has foot in mouth disease whenever she meets a guy she likes. She likes this guy at work ALOT but she can't say two words to him without humiliating herself. So she asks Justin to give her pointers.... Meanwhile Justin has just noticed how hot Libby is dressed and he is trying to remember they are NOT friends with benefits. But in an effort to help Libby he eventually agrees to be her LOVE coach. And thats when the fun starts. Justin is beyond hot and sexy and he gets the hots for Libby and vice versa. I totally LOVED the hot sex scenes and how Justin and Libbey never really noticed each other sexually before but now they can't resist the other. This was a really great, sexy story and I really loved all the characters.

Holy Pucking Sock Puppets!!!! Justin and Libby are so hot and funny and quirky, that this book made me laugh long and loud so many times. A hot hockey player who can knit... he makes sock puppets and I can barely make a barbie sized scarf. A sweet kindergarten teacher who wants to learn to be naughty and score the guy of her dreams, just not the hockey player best friend..... until she realizes that she wants his "sock puppets" all for herself. Lili fleshes out her characters in such a way that you feel as if you truly know them and the story sucks you right in. Lili has a way of fleshing out all of the characters, even secondary characters that give you a preview of where the next book in the series could be going. I say this about all of Lili's books...this is the best one that I have read, and it's true....her books just keep getting better and better. She is a tremendously talented writer!!

A Review of Hot As Puck by Lili Valente Friends to lovers - 5+++++ stars When we meet Justin Cruise, he is celebrating his 28th birthday and has just broken up with his girlfriend after she tried to coerce him into proposing to her soon so she could plan their wedding for the next summer or else she would look into other options. As a hockey player for the Portland Badgers, he is not interested in anything long-term other than his team. With a multi-million-dollar contract, beautiful loft, and his health, he just wants to enjoy his life and friends. Libby Collins and her older sister Laura lived next door to Justin as children and she has been friends with Justin since she spent months teaching him how to crochet when he was homebound with mono. Libby had to be home schooled until the ninth grade due to a severe stuttering problem, which also caused her to be extremely shy and introverted. After seeing Sylvia storm out of Justin's birthday party, she decides to ask her best friend for a favor—to teach her about sex and flirting with guys. This is such a sweet and innocent love story that both Justin and Libby will learn from. I thoroughly enjoyed the banter between these two characters and how they learned so much about each other, even though they already knew things about each other that a lot of other people couldn't know. And the honesty they kept front and center in their relationship was awe inspiring. This author knows how to give you all the 'feels' that you want in a couple. Favorite quote: "How have I been her friend for so long without finding out if her hair feels like silk? Friends should know those things about each other, right? Maybe?" **Honest review voluntarily provided from a Complimentary Copy**

Hot as Puck by Lili Valente is the first new standalone in her new collection of hockey stories. This book focuses on the friends-to-lovers story of Justin and Libby. Justin the hot as sin hockey player and Libby the innocent kindergarten teacher. Two friends who have known each other AND been best friends since 7th grade, these two are clueless about the passion they have for each other until the exact moment they're not. It is like an awesome meet-cute when they've already met. Minimal on drama and angst but with enough tension to keep it VERY interesting, this story is romantic, sweet, steamy, and heart-warming. Well-written and well-paced. I absolutely love when my must-read authors keep on proving exactly why I love them so hard! Enjoy!

Lili Valente's the perfect One-Click author for every mood you're in from Sexy & Adorable Romantic Comedy to BDSM Erotic. In "Hot As Puck" we are squarely in the Adorable and Sexy range and it's a delicious place to be. Lili Valente can write Alpha Anti-Heroes, Charming Flirty Heroes, and Humorous Alpha Heroes, she's that dexterous and they're all fabulous. "Hot As Puck" gives us Justin Cruise, a charming, flirty, funny, crocheting, hockey-playing Hero. In some ways Justin wants to settle down. But finding someone, as a professional hockey player. who wants him for him is going to be difficult. Justin is kind, honorable, comical, and so, so sexy. He grew up with, and remains friends with, sisters Laura and Libby Collins who were his next-door neighbors. The younger sister, Libby, taught him how to crochet when he was in high school and got him hooked. ;). Libby's the quintessential kindergarten teacher who wears comfortable clothes and items she's knitted or crocheted for herself. She's awkward and innocent. Her last serious boyfriend abruptly decided to become a priest while dating her; Libby's basically scarred. Whenever she finds herself talking to a man she could be interested in she internally freaks out. When Libby realizes that she and a man are actually flirting she starts over-thinking and ends up verbally pratfalling. Or literally face-plants. She subconsciously self-sabotages herself. No one realizes just how innocent Libby is, not even her sister. In desperation she goes to Justin for help. Lili Valente keeps the pace moving with fantastic humor, amazing sex, and adorably swoony romance. The storyline of friends to lovers is always a good one. Lili Valente describes how close and precious Libby and Justin's friendship is, the conflict in "Hot as Puck" is air-tight. "Hot as Puck" is wonderful and refreshing in it's simple romantic Friends-to-Lovers storyline. Lili Valente creates solid, charming, and lovable characters and a light romantic comedy. "Hot As Puck" isn't slapstick or non-stop belly laughs but it's giggles and smiles entertaining. The secondary characters are also tightly constructed. They are laying a firm foundation for subsequent installments in this Bad Motherpuckers series. Laura and Brendan are obviously the next couple and I'm hoping that Tanner Nowicki gets his own book as well. You think that Justin's crochet habit's just a kooky quirk, but as he says, "There's a method to his madness". Read to find out.
