About the Author

Tina Langlotz, a former columnist at The Cleveland Plain Dealer, has also written for Cleveland Magazine, Northern Ohio Live, New Cleveland Woman, Cleveland's Finest Singles, Orlando Magazine and The Orlando Sentinel. She also writes a monthly column, “The Back Pew”, for the St. Stephen Lutheran Church newsletter in Longwood, Florida.

National publications that Tina has written for include Marriage & Family Living, Albuquerque Singles Scene, Seattle's Single Life, Contact in California, Fate, Georgia Personals and Dallas Singles.

Tina has conducted many workshops about relationships, spoken at more than 80 singles, business and civic organizations on a variety of subjects including “Beware of Burn-out”, “If at Flirt You Don't Succeed”, “Stale Relationships Can Sour But There is Life After Divorce”.

She received an Excellence in Journalism award for human interest reporting from The Press Club of Cleveland and Women In Communications, Inc. The Cleveland Psychological Association also honored Tina for her "Presentation of Psychology to the Public."

Tina appeared as a guest on several radio and television shows including "Donahue" and a national radio program sponsored by Council of Better Business Bureau in Washington, D.C.

She and her husband, Richard, moved from Cleveland to Orlando in 1998. What prompted this book, "Houseguests from Heaven and Hell" is the result of their experiences. What they have learned is that most houseguests want to be clear on bunk-out arrangements before visits. In most cases, they will go along with the plans.

The author has the unique gift of putting into words the thoughts we all were thinking and doing so in such a humorous way. Houseguests can be a double edged sword. As the pillow says "All bringing joy . . Some by coming and some by going". What a delightful subject to address and give us all the opportunity to laugh, and reflect, "Could that be me?” Just a simple lighthearted read.

Sound like a great story and book! Houseguests are a blessing but sometime the real prayer answered is when thy leave. This author has a talent for writting and making one relate and laugh as they read!
