Not just a story...true literature and beautiful lyrical prose. I read a lot of YA and middle school literature and this book is truly special.

Sad, and lovely, and hopeful, and true. The wide world and the magic of the heart, contained in such a small and portable package, that grows, when the time is right, like a Simply Enormous dragon.

Inventive, clever, sweet, and sorrowful. Deals with some mature ideas, made softer (and perhaps more effective) by its simple language.

I couldn't put it down! I loved the strong, multi-layered characters, so many of them female. It's a book with a beautiful message, woven with plenty of suspense.
