Overview

How to be a Christian Without Being Religious by Fritz Ridenour

Since the days of the early church, Christians have struggled to find a way to be "good"—to please God by their own efforts. They end up carrying a burden God never intended them to bear. And what's more, their brand of Christianity ends up looking like any other religion of the world—bound by joyless rules and rituals. Fritz Ridenour's study of the book of Romans provides an antidote to the pharisaical spirit and shows that Christianity is not a religion but a relationship. It is not people reaching up, but God reaching down. All Christians can enjoy their birthright when they realize who they are in Christ. The result is a life full of hope, joy, power, and potential.

I read this book as a new Christian over 20 years ago. It was very helpful to me as I was solidifying my beliefs and i recommend it for any new Christian. It was written by a believer for believers. If you don't believe in God then you won't get it.

This book changed my life when I was in my teens. It brings faith and Biblical living to a practical level for all ages. I still remember the phrase that we are in a foot soldier war and we win this war by walking daily. Highly recommended, especially for new Christians.

God may be important to some people, but in reality god is just a crutch. What has he ever done in this world that we can really physically see. Its all just stories. A story that when you truly believe will just let you down. What a crock.
