Some drawing books just show animals with steps on how to draw them, but this book shows how some animals look like when they run, and what the difference is between a lion's nose and a tiger's nose. What I'm really trying to say is that this book has alot of deatail, so if you want to become an artist this he book for you!!!

This is one of the best ways to learn to draw animals(besides actual observation of course). There is a large variety of very detailed animals ranging from backyard animals like a squirrel to the more exotic cheetah. The animals aren't just static either, the have many different poses like running, jumping, sitting, stretching etc... The author teaches you to recognize the basic shapes the animals are made of. Different shading techniques are also discussed. Overall I'd have to say this is a very detailed book and is well worth the price.

A must buy! I have this book and turn to it time and time again; helps to study anatomy, find patterns, look at how the animals move and compare their features and similarities to one another. Highly recommended!

This book is a very helpful guide on not only how to draw animals, but on how they move and the anatomy on how they look. While I am a 3D CGI artist, I use Poser Pro, the book helps me get realistic poses in my renders. This book help artists of all types.
