Besides analyzing the dsytopian shift in popular culture, Joustra and Wilkinson also suggest how Christians can live faithfully and with integrity in such a cultural context.

About the Author

Robert Joustra is director of the Centre for Christian Scholarship and assistant professor of international studies at Redeemer University College, Ancaster, Ontario.


Alissa Wilkinson is a movie critic at TheNew York Times. Her work has been featured in a wide variety of publications, including Rolling Stone, Vulture, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and Christianity Today. She has been a guest commentator on numerous radio, podcast, and television programs such as MSNBC’s Morning Joe, CBS News, PBS Newshour, BBC America’s Talking Movies, and NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
