The Bachelor Firemen of San Gabriel have a rebel among them, and there's only one woman who can put his flames out.

Firefighter Patrick "Psycho" Callahan earns his nickname every day. Fast, fit, and a furious worker, he thrives on the danger which helps him forget a near-tragedy that changed his life forever. But when his off-duty carousing gets out of hand, Patrick is sent back to Loveless, Nevada, where the wildfire threatening his hometown has nothing on sizzling Dr. Lara Nelson.

Lara would rather be thought of as the physician who returned to Loveless than as the misfit brought up at a hippie New Age commune. But right now she's focused on the job at hand, patching up injured firemen . . . until the past hits her in the hard-muscled, blue-eyed form of Patrick Callahan. Now, the embers of their decade-old attraction have ignited into a full-on inferno, as the bad-boy firefighter and the good doctor take a walk on the wild side they'll never forget.

I love Jennifer Bernard and her Firemen of San Gabriel. HOW TO TAME A WILD FIREMAN is an awesome edition to this series. Each book can be read as a stand alone title, but I will say that you fall a little more in love with each new book that comes out. Patrick "Psycho" is one hot fireman, with a hot story that will leave you smiling, laughing, and sighing. I loved the attraction and story around Lara and Patrick. While at the same time, I loved watching Patrick/Psycho reconnect with his family. There are deep emotions and some funny ones in this great story. If you like romances with fireman, strong intelligent women, and story-lines that keep you quickly turning pages then HOW TO TAME A WILD FIREMAN is the perfect read! I can't wait to read what's next from Ms. Bernard! I highly recommend this one to everyone, just be sure to keep a glass of water nearby, you never know when you'll need it!

## Good but not great. When I got to page 50 and the hero and heroine still hadn't met up, I started getting annoyed. Once I'm annoyed I have a hard time shaking it. Patrick and Lara had great chemistry, so that part I liked. The intimate scenes were well written as well. The little sister Megan was very unlikeable as was their father. I enjoyed parts of this book but unfortunately not enough to read it again.

Jennifer Bernard takes us deep into the lives of her characters. She gives us a front and center seat to watch the story of Patrick and Lara slowly unfold. Each is plagued by their own personal issues with returning home. I utterly enjoyed witnessing the Patrick and Lara work through their issues, rediscover what they left behind and bond over their journey while rediscovering an attraction that never died. How to Tame a Wild Fireman was unpredictable as the fires Patrick “Psycho” fights while the passion burned as hot as a blue flame. Lots of side stories and plot directions held interesting background into Patrick's and Lara's lives. I found myself guessing on its direction and trying to discern the behavior and choices of the characters and secondary characters which kept me invested in the outcome. Romance, daring rescues and re-finding family, How to Tame a Wild Fireman was an enjoyable and entertaining story. I received this ARC copy of How to Tame A Wild Fireman from HarperCollins - Avon in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication September 24, 2013. As posted on The Smutty Kitty reviewed by PussyWillow 4 out of 5 Licks YEAH! more of my favorite firemen and women. This was such a fun love story between Patrick (Psycho) Callahan and Lara Nelson. They are such a fun couple, I love how their personalities complement each others and even their pasts and families get in the way. The scene where Patrick finds a drunk Lara is especially fun with the dialog and the innuendo. Patrick comes off as a “Psycho” with his wild ways and no fear attitude, but inside he has such a soft heart. He protected his younger brother who is deaf and has mild Autism, stops to rescue a baby llama while a wild fire is closing in on them and prepares the family home even though he has been kicked out of the family by his Father for an accident that happened to his brother years ago. I loved the scenes showing Patrick battling the fires, very exciting and exhilarating. Lara is a great character, she is strong but because of her past she tends to hide herself away, whether it was hiding behind a Goth look in high school or as an adult not getting close with others. It was so fun that she grew up on a “hippie farm” as others teased, but those Goddesses are great. I think they really help her open up in all ways. We get to see some of the other firefighters from the San Gabriel station, but the focus of the story is Patrick and Lara and there dealing with their attraction, their pasts and families. The story comes full circle when fire threatens the Callahan home and all help out to save it. Though, we don’t know what happens to Goldie the Llama???lol Another great addition to a wonderful series!

Even the llama falls in love with Psycho! <3  Psycho takes time away from the firehouse to return home and volunteer as a smokejumper when a nasty wildfire breaks out nearby.  Dr. Lara Nelson is on work leave to manage an estate willed to her and agrees to help at the base of operation's command center in the medical tent.  This is, by far, the FUNNEST and FUNNIEST Bernard book to-date. The commune residents and the llama really ramp up the entertainment level! Tina J @ Happily Ever Chapter Reviewer for: Tangled Hearts -and- Smut Book Junkie

I honestly don't remember Patrick "Psycho" from previous books, but he shines exceedingly well in this book. When he gets drunk, while off duty, and decides that the firehouse really, truly needs a hot tub/pool in the backyard and "borrows" the equipment to start digging it, Captain Brody sends Patrick back to his hometown of Loveless, Nevada to help with a wildfire that is threatening the area. There he finds that Lara, a childhood friend helping out, treating burns and blisters. This book actually started 10 years in the past, with Patrick, his younger brother Liam and Liam's best friend Lara going to get their first tattoos in their hometown of Loveless. Tragedy strikes and lives are forever changed. A family is broken apart, Patrick leaves Princeton behind to become a firefighter, while Lara heads off to medical school to become a family practitioner.  There was some great moments in this book, funny as well as poignant ones. Patrick and Lara had some really great dialogue back and forth and their chemistry wasn't just in the bedroom.  I looked back at my previous reviews and had noted the theme of forgiveness running through the series. That theme is very strong in this book as well. Patrick and Lara both have to learn to forgive themselves for events in the past, especially if they want to have a future together. I remember why I liked this series and gave this book 4 stars.

The first time I met Psycho was when I first read about Capt. Brody's story (The Fireman Who Loved Me), and by Brody's personality assessment of Psycho he is a guy who is just completely reckless and crazy! But I am curious of what made him that way. And now, after reading 'How To Tame a Wild Fireman' I finally got to know the real Patrick Callahan IV ('aka' Psycho). Just like the heroes I read, Psycho is no different from the troubled, misunderstood guy. But what made him stand out is his genuine love for his siblings and for the woman he had adored for years but was never able to say it out loud. Lara Nelson always has mixed feelings toward Psycho. She always detest his rash behavior especially when Patrick's brother, Liam is involved. But even if she hates Psycho that much, she can't deny her attraction towards him. It is a fun read that I thoroughly enjoyed! I love how Jennifer mix adventure, comedy, romance, and some firefighting 101 lessons in her books. A wonderful read! Worth every penny.

Perfectly funny, charming and steamy! I had the best time reading this book and I did not want to put it down. I seriously contemplated a sick day just so I could finish it (well, maybe not seriously but it did run through my mind, ha). When you open the pages of this book it is like you fall into the lives of Patrick and Lara. You are not just an observer you feel as if you are there with them throughout the book. Patrick or Psycho is the perfect male – he is hot, sensitive, bad-@$$, sexy and vulnerable. He is just a great character and the details describing his tattoos will certainly tip you over the edge (well, I guess if you like that sort of thing). Lara is sweet, kind, smart, and like most of us running from something in our past. It is interesting to watch the dynamic relationship between Patrick and Lara and Lara and Liam, Patrick’s brother. I also appreciate the representation of a person with a disability as “normal” – whatever that is. I wish there had been more resolution between Patrick, Liam and the rest of their family – maybe that will be forthcoming in another book in the series. These are just the type of characters you could read about on and on and on and never tire of them. This book is part of Jennifer Bernard’s Bachelor Firemen series, but it certainly can be read independently. I have never read any of the other books in this series (something I hope to rectify very, very soon) and was able to pick up with the story. From what I have gathered from others who have read the series, the other books introduce different characters but each book has its own independent storyline. The characters are reoccurring in the books which adds to the continuity of the series. If you are into books that are hot, steamy and about coming home for second chances this is definitely worth your time! Rating: 4.5 Heat Rating: Hot Reviewed by: A. Determined to destroy the Echelon she despises, Rosalind Fairchild is on seemingly easy mission. Get in. Uncover the secrets of her brother's disappearance. And get out. In order to infiltrate the Nighthawks and find their leader, Sir Jasper Lynch, Rosalind will pose as their secretary. But she doesn't count on Lynch being such a dangerously charismatic man, challenging her at every turn, forcing her to re-evaluate everything she knows about the enemy. He could be her most dangerous nemesis – or the ally she never dreamed existed. This story was divine! I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline, the array of characters and their interplay. I couldn’t put it down. There are dangerous encounters, mysteries, romance, blood drinkers, (blue bloods), weres, (of a sort), and one tantalizing twist after another. I loved the characters from the first chapter to the last. A fantastic read!

Was sort of enjoying the story when low and behold, the author had to put in her political view! "THE EVILS OF CAPITALISM" I am a strong believer in CAPITALISM, and do not appreciate this writers POV and her sneaky insertion of it in the story! CAPITALISM seems to be working well for you if you even understand what it means at all!
