I Dare You: ..to say the words
The Lord's Prayer Matthew 6:9-13 is one of the simpler prayers in the Bible yet so often misunderstood. We place so much emphasis on reciting the words that often times we miss the lessons Jesus wanted His disciples to learn. The prayer is made up of several commitments. I have chosen to break it into five parts, which I believe will help us to understand what the Lord is asking of us when He left this as a model prayer. I am not claiming authority on what Jesus meant in the prayer. Instead, I am sharing what the Holy Spirit taught me one day when I decided to meditate on the words and not just repeat them as I had often done. I hope that after reading this book, you will find new meaning in the words of the prayer and that your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ would be strengthened.
