I Wish That I Had Duck Feet by Dr. Seuss, B. Tobey, Theo LeSieg, Theodore Lesieg

A young boy weighs the pros and cons of possessing various animal appendages—such as a duck's feet, a deer's antlers, a whale's spout, an elephant's trunk, and a long, long tail—only to decide that he's better off just being himself. A zany, insightful story that beginning readers will wish to hear again and again!

I would recommend the hard cover so your kids can read this to their kids years from now.

Great classic Dr. Seuss before he used the name. Was my fav book growing up and I can still recite the whole thing word for word. Great for helping kids learning to embrace themselves for who they are, esp. girls.

My 4 year old daughter and I love this book. The story flows very easily with rhyming characteristic of Dr. Seuss. I love the story of the little boy who imagines the different ways that would make him stand out from the other kids (and possibly give him an advantage over the neighborhood bully). But in the end he decides that he likes himself just the way he is.
